We’re expecting a baby girl soon and having hard time narrowing down names. We already have a daughter, [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]. Here are some names we are thinking, but are open to suggestions for a sweet name that’s not too common, but not too out there either:
I have always loved the name [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], and for whatever reason have always pictured [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] going well with it! From your list, I like [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and [name_u]Penny[/name_u]!
I like [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] quite a lot and [name_u]Penny[/name_u] is awfully cute too. Have you considered [name_f]Susan[/name_f] or [name_f]Polly[/name_f]?
Most of your suggestions sound like nicknames, rather than proper names. Since your daughter [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] has a lovely stand-alone name, I’d suggest finding the stand-alone names you like these nicknames for and using that instead (especially given that [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] are both common names for milking-cows (google [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] the [name_m]Borden[/name_m] cow).
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f]: [name_f]Mairead[/name_f] (goes well with [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and is the original name that [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] comes from); [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]; [name_f]May[/name_f]; [name_f]Maelle[/name_f];
[name_u]Penny[/name_u]: [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]; [name_u]Penrose[/name_u]; [name_u]Aspen[/name_u]; [name_f]Peony[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]: [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] (which matches [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] nicely), [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]; [name_f]Elise[/name_f] / [name_f]Elyse[/name_f]; [name_f]Eloise[/name_f];
[name_f]Lorelie[/name_f]: I don’t like this as it looks like [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] (which I like a lot) misspelled.
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] ([name_f]Lilly[/name_f]): This is nice! You could also have [name_f]Lilith[/name_f].
