Need "Perfect" Girl Names! Help!

My boyfriend and I have our top five boy names set! But we’re having a problem finding girl names that fit or that we’d ACTUALLY use. Can you guys please suggest some names that you think go with the others?

Our boys are:
[name]Hugo[/name]
[name]Felix[/name]
[name]Oscar[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name]
[name]Roscoe[/name]

Our three completely set girl names are:
[name]Scarlett[/name]
[name]Maeve[/name]
Naomi - recently added

I keep tossing [name]Ivy[/name] around, but can’t commit to it. [name]Do[/name] you think it fits? What names would you add to this list?

Thank you so much! -[name]Kylee[/name]

So I’m working out from no F, H, O, T, R, S, M and D.

[name]Ivy[/name] - I love this, and for me it’s perfect with your other names.

[name]Carmel[/name]
[name]Cecilia[/name]
[name]Chloe[/name]
[name]Elvira[/name]
[name]Elettra[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Idony[/name]
[name]Imelda[/name]
[name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Nedra[/name]
[name]Nerina[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Ursula[/name]
Vilda
[name]Vienna[/name]
[name]Virginia[/name]
[name]Willow[/name]
[name]Wilma[/name]

Thank you for not repeating letters! (you’ve read my other posts, hm? Haha.)

[name]Cecilia[/name] - is this too frilly for my list? I always like the way this name sounds, but I guess it never sounds “just right”, you know?
[name]Chloe[/name] - I worry this [name]Chloe[/name] is too cutesy
[name]Eleanor[/name] - I do love [name]Eleanor[/name], but I keep wondering if I want [name]Eleanor[/name] or [name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name] - I need to ask the boyfriend about this one
[name]Vienna[/name] - I like the way this sounds, but I’m not sure about it
[name]Willow[/name] - I don’t think I could have a [name]Willow[/name] and an [name]Ivy[/name], haha

Thanks so much, ottilie! I’ve got some good ideas now

hazeleyes:

[name]Bianca[/name] - I think this would fit well, I’ll suggest this to him
[name]Xanthe[/name] - does this fit? I do like this
[name]Ariel[/name] - I think this is sweet, but I’m not sure it fits
[name]Naomi[/name] - I like this  I’ll suggest it to him too
[name]Georgia[/name] - the first time I asked him about [name]Georgia[/name], but he might’ve changed his mind by now
[name]Piper[/name] - people always suggest [name]Piper[/name] (my dad likes this one), but Im not sure about it. I want to like it though.
[name]Zoe[/name]/[name]Zoey[/name] - I like [name]Zoey[/name] quite a bit. Is it too popular? I feel like it used to be but isn’t anymore. I’ve never met a [name]Zoey[/name].

aj_bear:

[name]Clara[/name] - I like this, but I’m unsure
[name]Cora[/name] - is this too sweet for my list?
[name]Iris[/name] - [name]Iris[/name] or [name]Ivy[/name]? Hmmm…
[name]Georgiana[/name] - Im not sure if he’d like this if he doesn’t like [name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] - I [name]LOVE[/name] the nickname [name]Edie[/name], but we plan on using the nickname [name]Evie[/name] for [name]Maeve[/name]. Too close

Thanks, both of you  you were so helpful! Anything else you think of, I’d love to hear!

flick:

I love [name]Audrey[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], and [name]Lilia[/name] from your suggestions.

[name]Audrey[/name] - I really like this, but I wonder if it’s the same style, you know?
[name]Eloise[/name] - this has always been one of my favorites, but is it too frilly with my others?
[name]Lilia[/name] - I have to suggest this to him!

Thanks so much!

Anyone else out there? I still need help!

[name]Kylee[/name], I don’t know if you noticed, but you’re very strongly drawn towards the long -o sound. Your boys nearly all have it, and [name]Zoe[/name], [name]Chloe[/name] & [name]Naomi[/name] (which you just responded to positively) both share that sound.

Similarly, without F, H, O, T, R, S, M and D:

[name]Elowen[/name]
[name]Elodie[/name]
[name]Elora[/name]
[name]Leona[/name]
[name]Liora[/name]
[name]Lola[/name]
[name]Lorraine[/name]
[name]Gloria[/name]
[name]Aurora[/name]
[name]Briony[/name]
[name]Iona[/name]
[name]Callisto[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] / [name]Carolina[/name]
[name]Cleo[/name]
[name]Colette[/name]
[name]Coralie[/name]
[name]Cosima[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Paloma[/name]
[name]Norene[/name]
[name]Nola[/name]

[name]Ah[/name], blade, I was waiting for you to post, haha. I actually have noticed. I usually try to avoid trends on my lists, but I just… [name]Love[/name] these names too much. [name]Naomi[/name] has officially been added to our list, by the way. From your list:

[name]Elodie[/name] - I’ve always liked this name, but I wonder if it’s too… Delicate to fit in with my harsher girl names
[name]Leona[/name] - I think [name]Leona[/name] is adorable, I actually have a fish named [name]Leona[/name], haha
[name]Lola[/name] - I wonder if [name]Lola[/name], like [name]Chloe[/name], is too much of a dog name now. Or bunny rabbit maybe…
[name]Bryony[/name] - I really like [name]Bryony[/name], but maybe it has the same problem as [name]Elodie[/name]…
[name]Cleo[/name] - [name]Cleo[/name] or [name]Clio[/name] (whichever I favor at the moment) has always been on my list, usually as a middle. Would it work as a first on my list? Hm. I need to think about that.
[name]Cosima[/name] - I like this, but I’m unsure
[name]Penelope[/name] - I think [name]Penelope[/name] is cute, but is it going to grow in popularity? Or always be a celerity baby name from now on?
[name]Paloma[/name] - I [name]DO[/name] love this name, but is it too ethnic? I can pull off an Irish name because I am Irish, but [name]Paloma[/name]? I’m not sure…

I think I need reassurance on a lot of names these days… Hahaha. Thank you so much for the fantastic list. I think [name]Shannon[/name] would like a quite a few of these. I’ll have to run [name]Leona[/name], [name]Bryony[/name], [name]Cleo[/name], and [name]Paloma[/name] by him

I think names are open-source: come one, come all! If it fits with the phonetics of the baby’s surname and if you’re drawn to the meaning, then I wouldn’t worry as much about the language/culture of origin.

I heard you on [name]Elodie[/name] being delicate: but if you had sons named [name]Hugo[/name] and [name]Felix[/name], [name]Elodie[/name] would fit beautifully.

You could swap [name]Leona[/name] out for [name]Leonie[/name], if your fish claims dibs.

I’ve never met pets called [name]Lola[/name], personally, but all that matters is if you have.

[name]Bryony[/name] I think is a tough, no-nonsense name, full of hard sounds.

[name]Cleo[/name] probably is easier to pair with a middle than with a first. I.e. [name]Cleo[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] versus [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Cleo[/name].

[name]Cosima[/name] is so sophisticated and rich-sounding. It means ‘universe.’ Fairly baller.

[name]Penelope[/name] has existed 3000 years before any Kardashian was walking the earth, and I’m fairly sure it will outlast her, too.

[name]Paloma[/name] is so lush and beautiful. It matters not if you’re Irish and your boyfriend is Italian, as long as the sounds work.

Thanks so much  you’re right about a lot of that.

I do think [name]Elodie[/name] fits well with [name]Hugo[/name] and that just makes my heart happy. I absolutely [name]ADORE[/name] [name]Hugo[/name] to no end.

I don’t think [name]Leona[/name] has dibs. She doesn’t answer to her name, so I don’t think it counts, haha. I prefer the “a” to the “ie”.

I guess I always think of [name]Bryony[/name] as a pretty nature name you’d give to a fairy book character. Maybe that’s why it seems frilly to me. It does have a harsh sound to it though… Hm.

I didnt know the meaning of [name]Cosima[/name], that’s really cool. I think he’ll like that.

Ugh, I know that [name]Penelope[/name] is a beautiful, rich name, but I’m rather worried about the celebrity baby thing recently. People gave me so much heck when I said I liked [name]Harlow[/name].

I do think [name]Paloma[/name] would sound really good with [name]Shannon[/name]'s last name… I think it sounds so… Full as a name. I think it’s the “loma” part. I’ll use rich again. It sounds so rich, haha. And I really appreciate you remembering details. (Like the fact that [name]Shannon[/name] is Italian. I don’t think I’ve posted that in a while, haha.)

You seem to like vintage names with a bit of an edge. Here are some suggestions:

[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Imogen[/name]
[name]Eugenie[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Vera[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name]

eka215 - I think you’re right. In general, I like vintage things, but I tend to go for vintage things that fit me, not just vintage because it’s vintage, you know?

[name]Beatrix[/name] - I do [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name]! And the nickname [name]Bea[/name]/[name]Bee[/name]. I worry about it getting too popular though.
[name]Imogen[/name] - this has bounced on and off of my list. I worry that since we live in the south, it would ALWAYS be pronounced like [name]Imogene[/name]
[name]Eugenie[/name] - I worry this would be mispronounced also. My family would say “you-jean-ee” not “you-jen-ee”. I do not like the former at all.
[name]Pearl[/name] - I really like this as a middle name, but I feel it is a bit too “old lady” as first name… I guess I’ve met too many elderly Pearls.
[name]Juliet[/name] - this name is beautiful, but I greatly dislike [name]Shakespeare[/name] and that’s all I can think of when I see/hear this.

I will DEFINITELY ask him about [name]Beatrix[/name] though. I haven’t really thought of it in the first name spot. Thanks a lot

So far the “To Ask [name]Shannon[/name] About” List consists of:

[name]Leona[/name]*
[name]Bryony[/name]
[name]Cleo[/name]
[name]Cosima[/name]*
[name]Paloma[/name]*
[name]Beatrix[/name]*

*s are my favorites  I’d like a few more options, so please, someone post! Haha

Thanks for posting evetallulah  the only name on your list that hasn’t been said yet that we could consider is [name]Sophia[/name]. The others have either been said already or were [name]WAY[/name] too overdone/popular for my taste ([name]Hannah[/name], [name]Emily[/name], [name]Tiffany[/name], etc.). No offense

[name]Sophia[/name] - I really do [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Sophia[/name]. It makes me think of the funny, high-spirited [name]Sophia[/name] from [name]Golden[/name] Girls. I adore that show and she was my favorite character. I just can’t get over how popular it’s become in the past couple of years. [name]Ive[/name] met a [name]Sophie[/name] and a [name]Sophia[/name] where I live even though I’ve never met an [name]Isabella[/name] (maybe once), a [name]Violet[/name], an [name]Amelia[/name], or any of the other “popular” names. Gah. I’m not sure though. [name]Sophia[/name] could be the one name that I would use regardless.

[name]Leona[/name] - we both really liked [name]Leona[/name], but we’re not sure we’d actually use it
[name]Cosima[/name] - all he said was Kramer. I’m not sure if Seinfeld is good or bad for him, haha. It reminds me of my dad.
[name]Paloma[/name] - he liked this too, but wondered if it was too strange
[name]Sophia[/name] - we both worry about the popularity of this.
[name]Georgia[/name] - I really like this, but he doesn’t…

Can anyone else think of any other names?

[name]Hi[/name] [name]Kylee[/name], I love your list! With [name]Hugo[/name], [name]Felix[/name], [name]Oscar[/name], [name]Theodore[/name] and [name]Roscoe[/name], I love [name]Ivy[/name]! Some other ideas without looking at other people’s posts:

[name]Fiona
Dorothy
Lydia[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Daphne
Rosalie
Thea[/name]

[name]Iris[/name] - I do like [name]Iris[/name], more than [name]Ivy[/name] actually. Ill ask him his opinion
[name]Phoebe[/name] - I’ve asked him about this before. He thinks it’s weird…
[name]Daphne[/name] - I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Daphne[/name], but his last name starts with a D and we say no to alliteration, haha.

Thank you so much for replying! You’re right in track with ME, he’s just really picky
