Hubby and I are expecting our third child in [name]July[/name]! We are just beginning the name hunt (at least as a couple, I’m always on the hunt for names, lol). Our other kids are [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Evan[/name] ([name]Sam[/name] exclusively) and Esmé [name]Juliet[/name]. I tend to like more exotic traditional names and my husband is more traditional. These are what we are discussing, please feel free to suggest others:
[name]Charles[/name] ([name]Charlie[/name]) -Dh’s grandpa’s name and his first choice. I’m thinking [name]Hamilton[/name], [name]Emmanuel[/name] or [name]Arthur[/name] for a middle name. He may scratch [name]Arthur[/name] again though, I keep trying to use it. Only reservation is popularity for girls and boys with the name [name]Charlie[/name].
[name]Theo[/name] - [name]One[/name] of our favorites. But I see it all over the boards and am expecting it to jump pretty quickly in the next few years. Maybe [name]Theo[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name]?
[name]Silas[/name] - Almost named our first son [name]Silas[/name] [name]Arthur[/name] but I think he thought it sounded to “out there” at the time. I still love the name though now I know of other boys with this name.
[name]Clara[/name] - His top choice…maybe too popular for me. I really think this one has top 20 potential or maybe I’m just being paranoid. What are your predictions? Not sure about a middle name, if we go with [name]Clara[/name] I’d want a distinctive middle name. Any ideas?
[name]Iris[/name] - My top girl choice. We both like it so it may end up being “the one”. [name]Iris[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] or [name]Iris[/name] [name]Vivian[/name]. I think it sounds the best with our other kids’ names and isn’t popular in my area at the moment.

I like [name]Clara[/name] as well, but so does everyone else…so it may become popular in the years ahead.

[name]Silas[/name] - Great name but [name]Sam[/name] and [name]Silas[/name] might be a little close in sound so it wouldn’t be my first choice. Maybe use [name]Silas[/name] as a nn? [name]Theo[/name] [name]Silas[/name]/[name]Theodore[/name] [name]Silas[/name]?

My favorite boy name from your list is [name]Theo[/name], but I agree that I would use [name]Theodore[/name] nn [name]Theo[/name]. [name]Charlie[/name] is very cute, but I think it’s definitely gaining popularity.
As for girls, [name]Iris[/name] is very pretty. I also think that [name]Clara[/name] will rise is popularity. What about using [name]Vivian[/name] as a first name? [name]Vivian[/name] [name]Claire[/name] would be very pretty. I think the nn [name]Viv[/name] is adorable. I would also suggest [name]Ivy[/name], [name]Celia[/name] or [name]Cecilia[/name] nn Cece, [name]Cora[/name]
