I have really, really struggled with names this time around. I have two girls ([name]Carys[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]) and we are expecting a surprise in [name]June[/name]. I like not terribly common names, names that aren’t unisex, and I’m not religious at all. I don’t have any family names I can use either. Our last name is pronounced “[name]MAY[/name] - ya”. My mother visited this last weekend and these were her suggestions.
[name]Margot[/name] ?
[name]Mark[/name] [name]Edward[/name]
We have actually discussed [name]Margot[/name] before, but I’m worried about it with our last name (too many M’s and A’s). As for the boy’s name, I don’t like [name]Mark[/name]. I agree that [name]Mark[/name] “[name]MAY[/name]-ya” sounds good, but [name]Mark[/name] is just too religious for me. Any other suggestions? Our only other boy name that has had some consideration is [name]Nicholas[/name] (nn [name]Nick[/name]). Thoughts? Suggestions?? PLEASE help me!!!
Your girls names are lovely!
I love [name]Margot[/name] with the girls but don’t love it with the surname sounding [name]May[/name]-ya.
I agree that mark [name]May[/name]-ya sounds snappy but I think [name]Mark[/name] is too tired next to the girls. Have you thought about [name]Marcus[/name]?
[name]Nicholas[/name] fits well with the girls and flows nicely with the surname.
However, out of all the names mentioned I like [name]Edward[/name] the best!
[name]Carys[/name], [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Edward[/name] is a gorgeous set!
