However. We can’t find a single girls name that we both [name_u]LOVE[/name_u].

Honestly, I think half the reason he won’t agree to it is just to be difficult. lol I love the suggestion of [name_f]Frances[/name_f], but he won’t have it - his best friend is named [name_m]Frank[/name_m]. I also love the suggestions of [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f] and [name_f]Helena[/name_f]. Thank you!
@opheliaflora, I loved the long list! So many great names. My favorites were [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]. I also love [name_f]Alice[/name_f], but last name starts with a Z and I worry about how it would flow (kind of awkward)
He really likes names that have strong historical figures tied to them (or comic book characters). I love names that are vintage, classic and usually shorter.

What kind of comics does he read?
My first thought was [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], short, vintage, classic, and also a character in Spiderman And there’s [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] from “[name_f]Saga[/name_f]” by [name_m]Brian[/name_m] K. [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] and [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] Staples, one of the best comics I’ve ever read. It also features an adorable [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] is a dragon (and a fire-breathing crow as a disguise) in modern classic “Fables” by [name_m]Bill[/name_m] Willingham.
I’ll have to remind him about [name_f]Clara[/name_f]…he’s always trying to get me to read that one! He’s a big [name_u]Neil[/name_u] Gaiman fan, especially Sandman. He loves Batman (He’s been trying to sell me on [name_u]Harley[/name_u] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]…it’s on the NEVER list…) and the Avengers.
We’ve found a few names that we agree on but again - nothing either one of us loves. (I’m still hoping that when the time comes, I can talk him into [name_f]Clara[/name_f].)
Sandman is my favourite as well, I’ve read the whole thing quite a few times. My favourite name from there is [name_f]Delight[/name_f] and Foxglove, but they’re quite far from what you’re after
Would you go for [name_f]Coraline[/name_f]? With the nn [name_f]Cora[/name_f], I think it’s a wonderful way to satisfy both your tastes. From Avengers, [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], nn [name_f]Ana[/name_f] is another one that fits.
[name_f]Una[/name_f] as well, from ‘Stardust’. [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], from ‘Good Omens’, [name_f]Selina[/name_f] aka Catwoman. [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] from ‘[name_u]Ocean[/name_u] at the end of the lane’, short for [name_f]Violet[/name_f] maybe? [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f], from ‘The Graveyard Book’ (nn [name_f]Lettie[/name_f]?)
