My wife and me come up with some names for my second little girl, but still can’t make the decision. Her older sister’s first name is [name_f]Mina[/name_f] and the last name is Yang. We have some preferances below. We hope to give her a beautiful and cute name. Thank for any suggestions or more recommendations!
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] Yang
[name_f]Carol[/name_f] Yang
[name_f]Lara[/name_f] Yang
[name_f]Evie[/name_f] Yang
I think [name_f]Mina[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] sound very nice together.
Unless [name_f]Mina[/name_f] is a nickname, I think [name_f]Carol[/name_f] doesn’t sound as complementary with big sister. The rest could work, but [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is my favorite of your picks.
I love [name_u]Harper[/name_u]!! It’s super adorable by itself, but I personally don’t think it fits along with [name_f]Mina[/name_f]. I’m not an expert or anything, this is just my own personal opinion. I would chose something short and snappy, or something with a snappy sound like [name_f]Mina[/name_f] has {By the way that name is also super cute}
Maybe…
[name_f]Zoey[/name_f] Yang
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] Yang
[name_u]Beau[/name_u] Yang
[name_u]Lexi[/name_u] Yang
[name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] Yang
[name_u]Clove[/name_u] Yang
[name_f]Linnea[/name_f] Yang
[name_f]Brielle[/name_f] Yang
[name_f]Kylie[/name_f] Yang
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] Yang
[name_u]Allie[/name_u] Yang
[name_f]April[/name_f] Yang
[name_f]Aria[/name_f] Yang
[name_u]Arlie[/name_u] Yang
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u] Yang
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] Yang is also snappy! So is [name_f]Lara[/name_f]!
Again this is all my opinion. So if you’re really, really in love with the name, but it doesn’t go with her sister’s, go for it!! You shouldn’t pick a name you only kinda like. It’s gonna be with her for the rest of her life!
Good luck!!
My favorite is [name_f]Lara[/name_f]. Other suggestions are [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Cara[/name_f]/[name_f]Kara[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] from the previous poster.
As for [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f], do you think [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is too cute for an adult and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is too short for the last name Yang? [name_f]Do[/name_f] they have same pronunciation EE-vee~? Thanks!
I like both [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lara[/name_f] from your list. Either of those would be a lovely choice with your surname and big sister’s name.
With your questions: I think [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is absolutely fine for an adult. I do think [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is too short for your last name. Another option is [name_f]Eva[/name_f], which would work well. I still prefer [name_f]Evie[/name_f] though.
No they do not have the same pronunciation. [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is 2 syllapbles (Eev- ee) whereas [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is 1 syllable (Eev).
The pp suggestions of [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] (pronounced with 2 syllables: Zoh-ee and Cloh-ee) would also work well.
[name_f]Evie[/name_f] is pronounced Ee-vee.
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] is pronounced Eev.
I personally think [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is too short with your surname. I think [name_f]Mina[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] are similar levels of “cute,” so I don’t think it’s a problem.
If you think it’s too cutesy, what about [name_f]Yvonne[/name_f], pronounced Ee-[name_m]Von[/name_m] by most people. My husband (who is Chinese-American with a one syllable chinese surname like yours) has a cousin [name_f]Yvonne[/name_f] and it suits her well. I think [name_f]Yvonne[/name_f] Yang is really neat because of the double Y with different sounds (like I mentioned, you don’t pronounce the Y like in Yang).
Please help! My choice is [name_f]Lara[/name_f] or [name_f]Evie[/name_f](some people say it sounds like Pokemon?), but my wife still can’t make the decision. She still thinks there should be some more options. Any idea/suggestion? Any name you heard that is cute/ beautiful and works with my last name Yang? Thanks a lot!
