Hey - we are kinda’ stumped on names at this point - just looking for some input as our due date draws near for baby #5. We have 3 girls and 1 boy - in that order. We do not know the gender of numero cinco, and we won’t be finding out - all of them have been surprises! We have [name]Scout[/name] (6), [name]Ripley[/name] (5), [name]Pace[/name] (3), and [name]Burke[/name] (18 mos) and #5 will be here in [name]March[/name]. We usually don’t decide until labor starts, or as we are rushing to the hospital. But, this time, we are both really having a hard time agreeing on ANYTHING that would go with the other 4 names and make us both happy. AND we are not even considering any [name]Ella[/name], [name]Ava[/name], [name]Anna[/name], [name]Emily[/name], [name]Emma[/name], [name]Bella[/name] (or any form of), [name]Jacob[/name], [name]Michael[/name] or any other top 200 names. I need an extra set of hands to count how many kids I’ve met with those names in the past 6 years! Any ideas are appreciated - just PLEASE no common names!

My faves.
Really like [name]Fallon[/name] - but our last name starts with an F, so we’re staying away from F names - I am giggling that you suggested [name]Hansen[/name] b/c my Hubs really likes that name, but he won’t stop singing “MMMBop”, so it’s off the list! I am leaning toward C names - Like [name]Callahan[/name] for either B or G, same with [name]Campbell[/name], but are they too surnamish? Great suggestions, thanks!
With [name]Scout[/name], [name]Ripley[/name], [name]Pace[/name], [name]Burke[/name] I could see a…
[name]Fox[/name]
[name]Tanner[/name]
[name]Taj[/name]
Coa
[name]Cruz[/name]
[name]Crew[/name]
[name]Cole[/name]
[name]Bear[/name]

[name]Rider[/name]

[name]Lars[/name]
Hawke
[name]Otto[/name]
[name]Colby[/name]
[name]Quin[/name] means five so [name]Quinn[/name] or [name]Quincy[/name] works well for a boy or girl and goes with your modern theme.
Due to TV and Movie names, we are omitting [name]Quinn[/name] (or any form of it) for a first name, but really like [name]Quinten[/name] for a middle name. We’re staying away from “fierce” names like Hawke, [name]Bear[/name], [name]Rock[/name], [name]Fox[/name], [name]Thorne[/name], [name]Stone[/name], Etc… We also don’t want the name to have the first letter of any of our other kids, or have a similar sounding end to the name. [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Duke[/name], but again - ends with the ending sounding like [name]Burke[/name] and also, we are staying away from the trendy cowboy names. Color names are cool, as are day names, but I’m an Pediatric ICU nurse, so when I hear “[name]Blue[/name]” for a baby, I am rushing for the code cart due to a cyanotic, non-breathing baby. Let’s see… other issues are: we don’t want names starting with a vowel, no “H” names (I’m one of 4 “H” siblings), and we are not big fans of names starting with “TH”. See, this is why we have issues. Thanks for all of the the suggestions - I’ll have my Hubs scroll through to see if anything grabs him!
Also, names I love, but are off the list due to school mates of my Hubs (who were “wankers” according to him) are: [name]Clancy[/name] and [name]Wynn[/name]. Also staying away from bird names, ie: [name]Wren[/name], [name]Lark[/name], [name]Dove[/name], Hawke.
Another name that came to mind if you like [name]Duke[/name] is [name]Knight[/name], such a strong name and you wouldnt have the issue of sharing the end ‘k’ sound of [name]Burke[/name].

Wow - lots of great ideas! Keep ‘em comin’ - a few more rules we have are : No “J” names (we are not the Duggars), No names that can be shortened to a nickname, no “F” names (our last name starts with an F), can’t end with -er (again, last name issues, and Aussie accent makes it sound weird). Let’s see… [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Hollis[/name] - it’s my baby bros name! Staying away from any other characters from To Kill a Mockingbird (oldest is [name]Scout[/name], named after the book) - that also rules out [name]Harper[/name] ([name]Harper[/name] [name]Lee[/name]- author, also it ends in -er and starts with an H). Oh, and yes, we do think of new rules each day. Thanks for everyone’s effort - definitely helping us!
A few previously mentioned that I think go great with your sibset: [name]Curran[/name], [name]Nolan[/name], [name]Tate[/name], [name]North[/name], and [name]West[/name]! Here are some more ideas, and most, if not all, would work for either sex…
