We are really stumped for a girl’s name. Our son’s name is [name]Liam[/name] - short for [name]William[/name] [name]Frederick[/name]. We would like for our daughter’s name to go well with our son’s name, of course. We’d also like to use [name]Jean[/name] as a middle name after my husband’s aunt. I’d like some opinions on the following names or some other suggestions if you think anything else is better suited.
I like [name]Hilary[/name] [name]Jean[/name]. You might stick with more formal names, since [name]William[/name] [name]Frederick[/name] is so classic (and royal):
I love your son’s name! However, I’m not sure I like all of your list at the moment. [name]Hillary[/name] and [name]William[/name] sound too similar to me.
I think [name]William[/name] [name]Fredrick[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Jean[/name] sound divine! Also:
I like all of the following for you:
[name]Sarah[/name] [name]Jean[/name]
[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Jean[/name]
[name]Maris[/name] [name]Jean[/name]
I would have included [name]Hillary[/name] [name]Jean[/name], but [name]Hillary[/name] and [name]William[/name] in the same family a little to [name]Clinton[/name] for me, even though your son goes by [name]Liam[/name].
I thought of the clintons when i noticed your son’s name is william if the choice is hillary. I had hillary on my name list and my husband refused since he only thought of clinton (it didn’t even cross my mind when i added it to my list). My name is sarah victoria and my brothers name is william. [name]William[/name] is classic and current, so you have endless options.
Thanks for the suggestions so far. I guess I should explain a little bit more about the names that we have chosen so far.
[name]Hillary[/name] - a spin of my maiden name
[name]Sarah[/name] - my great grandmother’s name
My grandmother’s name was [name]Mary[/name], but my husband doesn’t care for it, so I was trying to come up with something similar with the following:
[name]Myra[/name]
[name]Maris[/name]
[name]Marin[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name] - we just like the name
[name]Fiona[/name] - we just like the name
We also liked [name]Adele[/name], but with the recent popularity of the singer, [name]Adele[/name], I think the name will be popular and trendy. I don’t really care for trendy ames. While I get what you have said about the Clintons, we never use [name]Liam[/name]'s given name, [name]William[/name], so that shouldn’t be an issue. We knew what our son’s name was going to be right from the beginning, but we having such a hard time picking a girl’s name. Since [name]Liam[/name] is named after my grandfathers, my husband’s grandfathers, and my father-in-law, we also wanted our daughter’s name to have meaning.
What does everyone think of [name]Winona[/name] - nn [name]Winnie[/name]? Or [name]Wynnona[/name] - nn [name]Wynn[/name]? My paternal grandmother was named [name]Winona[/name], but she was nn [name]Nona[/name], which I don’t really care for.
