Need suggestions for names that fit with Reed and Claire

I’m feeling back to square one – every name we seriously consider gets thrown out for one reason or another. I’m more confident re: boys names ([name]Ben[/name], [name]James[/name] or [name]Jonah[/name]). Some girl names we’ve considered but I can’t peg as “the one:”

[name]Samantha[/name] ([name]Sam[/name]): Nice family name but way too many listedin the school directory.

[name]Catherine[/name]/[name]Katherine[/name]: also family name, but we can’t agree on nicknames. I like [name]Kate[/name], he doesn’t want a nn.

[name]Ella[/name]: We both like it but I wonder if it’s too soft? also popular.

[name]Lily[/name]: My husband loves it, I also think its a bit “soft” but makes an excellent middle name.

Maelyn/Maylin: spin on family name but looks to “mushed” and double-nameish in the end.

[name]Elena[/name] or [name]Elaina[/name]: A nice nod to my mother ([name]Elaine[/name]) but I like it far more than hubby (though he likes [name]Ellie[/name] as a nn, which is quite popular right now, but I could live with that since I think the full name is pretty/more unique. Other issue is pronunciation issues. Not a dealbreaker but I think it will come up).

[name]Mae[/name]/[name]May[/name]: I love this sweet and simple name but I can’t say there isn’t something a bit better out there for us… And our last name is Yeager, which makes it hard to separate the sounds of first/last name. Kind of blends together, doesn’t it?

Am I just way too picky? I’m driving myself crazy!

Funny, I know a family with three kids, [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Reed[/name]! I don’t like Maylin, but what about [name]Madelyn[/name]? You could call her [name]May[/name] for short! I really love [name]Elaine[/name] (not so much [name]Elaina[/name]/[name]Elena[/name]) and the [name]Ellie[/name] nn would be cute. I love [name]Lily[/name], [name]Ella[/name] and [name]Katherine[/name]. Couldn’t you call her [name]Kate[/name] and let your DH call her [name]Katherine[/name]? I don’t care for [name]May[/name] by itself or [name]Samantha[/name]. Overall, I think [name]Kate[/name]/[name]Katherine[/name] or [name]Madeleine[/name]/[name]Madelyn[/name] are my favs.

What about [name]Kathryn[/name]? Less likely to be nicknamed, but still an option in the future if she chooses it.

I also think: [name]June[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Lillian[/name] or [name]Matilda[/name] would be nice choices. From your list, I love [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]May[/name] best of all. You have great taste!!

i think [name]Ella[/name] or [name]Elena[/name]/[name]Ellie[/name] are very nice. If popularity concerns you then [name]Elena[/name] with or without the nickname [name]Ellie[/name] might be good since [name]Elena[/name] is not so popular.

[name]Madelyn[/name]/[name]Madeline[/name] is one I [name]LOVE[/name] (especially with NN [name]Mae[/name]) but its the name of our best friend’s kid… )
