Am open to hear what you think sounds better. I find that a lot of the nameberry community have a particular style of name, which doesn’t fit our style. Some of the names won’t be generally liked but try and put that aside.
So id like to hear what you think sounds better as a combo rather than what name you personally prefer.
I love [name]Lila[/name], but I do prefer the spelling [name]Lilah[/name] spelling but that’s just me - it seems more complete and I feel the same with similar names such as [name]Norah[/name], [name]Hannah[/name] etc.
Anyway, [name]Lila[/name] & [name]Brady[/name] are just adorable and fit really well together. [name]Lila[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] and [name]Lila[/name] [name]Poppy[/name] are the stand out girl combo’s, probably the former being my favourite. [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Poppy[/name] together feels a bit juvenile and not sure how well the combo will age. [name]Harper[/name], [name]Harlow[/name] and [name]Haven[/name] are all a bit trendy, masculine, popular etc. [name]Lila[/name] [name]Sadie[/name] isn’t too bad and would be my 3rd favourite.
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Lucas[/name] is definitely my favourite!
Firstly, I dislike the alliteration of [name]Brady[/name] [name]Bowen[/name] and it doesn’t sound great. [name]Brady[/name] and [name]Hayes[/name] share similar sounds, the [name]Bray[/name] and Hay part means they don’t work well together as a combo. [name]Harris[/name] is too last namey for me, while I see [name]Cooper[/name] as a dog’s name.
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Lucas[/name] is strong and handsome and because [name]Brady[/name] is already a last name turned first name I think it would be better to have an actual name as the middle name as opposed to a last name.
Since [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Brady[/name] both have two syllables, they sound best with either a 3-syllable or monosyllabic middle.
For [name]Lila[/name] it’s easy: I like the flow and imagery of [name]Lila[/name] [name]Sienna[/name] (the only 3-syll name on your list). I think of warmth, the sun, and [name]Italy[/name], and it’s such a lilting and pretty combo.
For your boys, I think [name]Flynn[/name] and [name]Hayes[/name] sound best. They’re brisk, manly, and make a nice style statement next to [name]Brady[/name]. I actually like the repetition in sounds between [name]Brady[/name] and [name]Hayes[/name].
I like the combination of [name]Lila[/name] [name]Harper[/name] much better than [name]Harlow[/name] or [name]Haven[/name]. [name]Poppy[/name], to me, seems too clumsy to follow cute [name]Lila[/name].
I am not liking the “s” sound following [name]Lila[/name], so both [name]Sadie[/name] and [name]Sienna[/name] are out for me, sorry. It sounds a bit like [name]Lila[/name]'s adie/[name]Lila[/name]'s ienna.
Not a fan of the double “b” in [name]Brady[/name] [name]Bowen[/name] and sadly [name]Cullen[/name] can’t escape my Twilight association (though I love that name in theory).
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] reminds me of the actor [name]Bradley[/name] [name]Cooper[/name], which is not necessarily a bad thing but might concern you?
[name]Harris[/name] and [name]Lucas[/name] don’t do anything for me personally, I think they are a bit forgettable next to your other stronger options.
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Flynn[/name] and [name]Brady[/name] [name]Hayes[/name] are my favorites, in that order. I think [name]Flynn[/name] is such a strong, handsome name and gives [name]Brady[/name] more pizazz!
I also vote for spunky [name]Lila[/name] [name]Harper[/name] with graceful [name]Lila[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] in second place. [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Brady[/name] are great names. Good luck! =]
I really like [name]Lila[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] and [name]Brady[/name] [name]Flynn[/name]. [name]Lila[/name] [name]Poppy[/name] and [name]Brady[/name] [name]Harris[/name] would be my second pick but I do find the 2-2 syllable pattern too abrupt. Good luck!
I like the 2-1 rhythm (especially if you have a 2-syllable surname), but even apart from that I think [name]Lila[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] and [name]Brady[/name] [name]Flynn[/name] are the standouts. I like the subtle Irish connection of the middle names, too
Runners up would be [name]Lila[/name] [name]Poppy[/name] and [name]Lila[/name] [name]Sienna[/name]; [name]Brady[/name] [name]Cullen[/name] and [name]Brady[/name] [name]Harris[/name].
I like [name]Lila[/name] [name]Poppy[/name] and [name]Lila[/name] [name]Harper[/name] a lot from your girls’ list, and I really love [name]Brady[/name] [name]Flynn[/name] from your boys’ list! I don’t really think you could go wrong with any of them, but I think [name]Lila[/name] [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Brady[/name] [name]Flynn[/name] would be so adorable for twins. I personally like [name]Lila[/name] [name]Poppy[/name] a little bit more than [name]Lila[/name] [name]Harper[/name], but I think [name]Lila[/name] [name]Harper[/name] goes better with [name]Brady[/name] [name]Flynn[/name].
For your little girl:
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Harper[/name]- [name]Love[/name] It! Gorgeous
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Harlow[/name]- Very cute and trendy!
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]- flows very well and gorgeous
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Sienna[/name]- If none of the other three work, this is my pick. Not bad, just doesn’t flow as nicely as the others.
The reason I didn’t like [name]Poppy[/name]- Too juvenile, not sure how she’d feel about it in her teens/ young adult years
[name]Haven[/name]- Doesn’t have a nice flow at all.
[name]Sadie[/name]- doesn’t flow very well. If the first four were to all fail, I’d have to go for this one, as it works alright, the others are much much better.
For your little boy:
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Cullen[/name]- cute and trendy! Flow is nice and love the twilight association (not sure if that is a problem for you)
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Cooper[/name]- cute and would be an attractive name to have as a teen (as a teen I think it is attractive) and flows well
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Flynn[/name]- very cute! I associate [name]Flynn[/name] with tangled (not sure how you feel about that)
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Lucas[/name]- cute! I love this one, no associations to deal with, and flows well with [name]Lila[/name] ____
Why I didn’t like: [name]Bowen[/name]- didn’t really enjoy the double b in this situation
[name]Hayes[/name]- The A in [name]BrAdy[/name] and in [name]HAyes[/name] sounds to similar for my liking
[name]Harris[/name]- didn’t have the best flow but if the others above fail that is my pick
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Harper[/name] sounds the best to my ears for the girls. I tend to stray away from names that are overly lilting or sing-songy for girls, just because it’s my personal preference. The harshness of [name]Harper[/name] balances the lilt of [name]Lila[/name].
For [name]Brady[/name] I like [name]Flynn[/name]. I love the repetition of the y and the fact that it has a completely different sound in [name]Flynn[/name]. I feel this is the strongest boy combo from the group.
Others I like:
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Lucas[/name]
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Harris[/name]
I don’t think [name]Bowen[/name] complements [name]Brady[/name] very much, and the double BBs are not appealing, to me. [name]Brady[/name] [name]Cullen[/name] sounds nice together, but I don’t think it fits as well as some of the other middles. [name]Brady[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] sounds exactly like [name]Bradley[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] when I say it. If this is what you were going for, or if you do not mind the association, then this one would sound fine too. I do not like the repeating sounds in [name]Brady[/name] [name]Hayes[/name], but that may just be me.
My vote goes to [name]Lila[/name] [name]Poppy[/name]/[name]Lila[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] & [name]Brady[/name] [name]Harris[/name]. I also really like [name]Brady[/name] [name]Flynn[/name] and think it goes well with the other combo’s. I love both [name]Brady[/name] [name]Hayes[/name] & [name]Brady[/name] [name]Cullen[/name] but I don’t liek the repeated “a” sound in [name]Brady[/name] [name]Hayes[/name] & [name]Brady[/name] [name]Cullen[/name] seems a bit chunky.
Favorites:
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Harper[/name] (cute, trendy, flows well)
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] (more imagery here - love it)
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Sienna[/name] (prefer middle names that don’t end in a, but with the three syllables - this works!)
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Harris[/name] (just really like the way these two sound together - my fav)
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Cullen[/name] (second choice, but a good combo)
In order to weigh in on this, I think I would have to know how many syllables are in your last name. You could use a two syllable middle name, but only if your last name is notably different. If your last name is two syllables, or a name that often gets pronounced with two syllables (I know many three syllable names lose a syllable in pronunciation) you need a one or three syllable middle name for each [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Brady[/name]. If your last name is notably not two syllables, you could use something like [name]Lila[/name] [name]Harper[/name] or [name]Brady[/name] [name]Harris[/name].
[name]One[/name] syllable (good for a two or three syllable last name):
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Flynn[/name]
If your last name suits it, two syllable names I like:
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Harper[/name]
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Sadie[/name]
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Lucas[/name]
[name]Brady[/name] [name]Harris[/name]
Girl Middle name options:
Lila Harper – I love the feel of this combo but I find it hard to go from the “a” ending of the first name into a “ha” sound.
Lila Harlow – This name sounds pretty, but it blends a little too much as the names sound so similar.
Lila Haven – I don’t love the cadence of this one.
Lila Maeve-- This one is perfect! The soft and lilting Lila with the strong and spunky Maeve is genius.
Lila Poppy – This one is fun – i like it!
Lila Sadie – This one isn’t my favorite, but I really like it!
Lila Sienna – I don’t like how both names share the same ending. Makes it kind of sing-songy.
I like all your boys options but Brady Bowen and Brady Flynn are my favorites!
I love Lila Maeve and Brady Flynn together! Not only do those combos have the same feel, but it would be two semi-popular, well recognized first names with two one-syllable Irish middles that are less common. Perfection!
My favorite combos are…
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Brady[/name] [name]Bowen[/name]
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Mauve[/name] and [name]Brady[/name] [name]Cooper[/name]
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Mauve[/name] and [name]Brady[/name] [name]Hayes[/name]
I like all the combos you’ve come up with though.
[name]Hope[/name] I could help!
