I adore names that are unique or are older classic names that have been forgotten and sit well under the top 100.
Also love fantasy/mythology style names.
I need to stay clear of obvious god names but obscure ones or names from other myths and legends are fine and i prefer two syllables.
I recently went for a deep dive in the older US data. I made some topics with what I found so you may have already seen what I came up with, but Iâll link one here. Unique vintage names from 1924
Some notes I started making from the 1880 list

I just love ORDE meaning lance. I first found it in a book about [name_m]Orde[/name_m] Wingate, a BritishWW2 [name_f]British[/name_f] Officer with an extremely interesting career. If I were to name a child ut would be [name_m]Orde[/name_m] [name_m]Asher[/name_m]. [name_m]Alas[/name_m] my days for naming babies are long gone.
I do love [name_m]Harlan[/name_m] its one iv contemplated but hubby wasnt to sure. Also love [name_m]Rollo[/name_m] so much but already have a son with a very strong Norse name and dont want my other son to be the odd one out , im still trying to push for it as a middle though.
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]Bramwell[/name_m] nn [name_m]Bram[/name_m] but hubby doesnt like it , i also offered up Bramley and that was a no aswell lol. I like [name_m]Torsten[/name_m] and [name_m]Thorsten[/name_m] but again i already have a son with a strong norse name and it wouldnât work with my other sons name unfortunately.
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]Jago[/name_m] but husband prefers [name_m]Django[/name_m] but neither of us keen on [name_m]Jan[/name_m] as a nn.
Also love [name_m]Dacre[/name_m] nn [name_m]Dax[/name_m], hubby said no lol.
I feel like there is no hope atm. Maybe im having a girl and it wont matter
Hubby keeps suggesting [name_m]Ragnar[/name_m] , i have yet to decide how i feel on the name. I do adore nn Raggy though lol.
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]Newton[/name_m] because of the wizarding world link.
I loved [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] for a middle name for my previous son i dont know about a first name though i think its so handsome but is Mags/Maggy a bit much for a nn?
[name_f]Adore[/name_f] [name_m]Astrophel[/name_m] hubby less thrilled
[name_m]Sterling[/name_m] is quite nice , i think il need to ponder that one for a little while.
