Ok so my husband and I are expecting our first little one in [name]May[/name] and we aren’t finding out the gender.
We have a few names picked out but would like to know what you guys all think:)
Boy:
[name]Tayte[/name] [name]Karl[/name] (my husbands middle name ) or [name]Tayte[/name] [name]Reuben[/name]
[name]Reuben[/name] (suggests for a middle name?)
Girl:
[name]Ana[/name] [name]Kareena[/name] or [name]Ana[/name] [name]Marie[/name](my middle name)
[name]Kareena[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
Not looking to Change any of the spelling, or names…I just don’t know the stuff like famous actress/actor, etc…
I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Reuben[/name] for a boy!
[name]Reuben[/name]: [name]Charles[/name], [name]Myles[/name], [name]Blake[/name], [name]Samuel[/name], [name]Cale[/name], [name]Ari[/name], [name]Heath[/name], [name]Felix[/name], [name]James[/name], [name]Leo[/name], [name]Lars[/name], [name]Lief[/name], [name]Oscar[/name], [name]Paul[/name], [name]Victor[/name], [name]Walker[/name]
And I think [name]Ana[/name] [name]Marie[/name] is classic and beautiful combo!
I [name]ADORE[/name] [name]Reuben[/name]!!! I can not stress enough how handsome a name this is, and I strongly encourage you to use this one.
Here are some mn suggestions (though it’s hard without knowing your last name):
[name]Reuben[/name] [name]Karl[/name] (for your husband)
[name]Reuben[/name] [name]Saul[/name]
[name]Reuben[/name] [name]James[/name]
[name]Reuben[/name] [name]Nathaniel[/name]
[name]Reuben[/name] [name]Elias[/name]
[name]Reuben[/name] [name]George[/name]
[name]Reuben[/name] [name]Arthur[/name]
[name]Reuben[/name] [name]Charles[/name]
[name]Reuben[/name] [name]Graham[/name]
[name]Tayte[/name] looks mispelled, and I would much prefer the spelling of [name]Tate[/name]. BUT, even spelled [name]Tate[/name], it still runs the risk of sounding feminine in light of the fact that this name is commonly used for girls. I can see the appeal, but I would not use it. It doesn’t hold a candle to [name]Reuben[/name].
However, if you like [name]Tate[/name], perhaps you would like [name]Nate[/name]? Which makes a wonderful nn for [name]Nathaniel[/name]. I [name]LOVE[/name] the combo [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Reuben[/name]! (or, as mentioned above, [name]Reuben[/name] [name]Nathaniel[/name]; I don’t see how you could go wrong either way!)
[name]Ana[/name] is very pretty. Are you pronouncing it the same an [name]Anna[/name] or Ohn-uh (either way is pretty, but if the former, I would spell it [name]Anna[/name]). This is beautiful on its own, but also as a nn for [name]Diana[/name], [name]Johanna[/name], or [name]Susannah[/name] if you wanted to make it sparkle a bit more. Also, in terms of a sibset, I think [name]Susannah[/name] or [name]Hannah[/name] would make lovely sisters to [name]Reuben[/name] in keeping with the biblical classic theme (regardless of whether or not you’re religious in the Judeo-[name]Christian[/name] tradition).
I also [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Corrina[/name], but spelled this way - or possibly as [name]Carina[/name] - [name]Kareena[/name] just looks overly trendy and takes away from the elegance of the name.
CAUTION: As beautiful as [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Corrina[/name] are on their own, I urge you not to use the combo [name]Anna[/name] [name]Corrina[/name], as it sounds an awful lot of [name]Anna[/name] Karenina, and even if you did mean to reference this literary namesake, this would still be too obvious a means of doing so.
I like the idea of using your own middle name, but [name]Marie[/name] is SUCH a popular middle name (or at least it was) that it might not sound special without knowing the connection. Would you consider using a variant instead?
[name]Hannah[/name] [name]Miriam[/name] would be lovely! (although, there are plenty more where that came from in terms of combining [name]Anna[/name] variants with [name]Mary[/name] variants )
Or [name]Corrina[/name] [name]Maribel[/name], if you wanted something more exotic!
I know you’ve made your choices on names and spellings, and I’m in full support of whatever you choose!
[name]Tayte[/name] [name]Karl[/name] is a strong name, and I don’t find it to be feminine at all! An extra dose is cool is the fact that it makes me think of [name]Michael[/name] [name]Tait[/name] from dc Talk! And I love that you are using your hubby’s middle name too!
You know I love [name]Ana[/name] [name]Marie[/name] – it’s simple but it strikes me as so beautiful and feminine! The fact that you are using [name]Ana[/name] rather than [name]Anna[/name] makes it more distinctive too.
I think you’ve done a great job picking out names that have personal meaning to you. You can never go wrong with that!
I love you, Cousin!
[name]Ana[/name] [name]Marie[/name] is beautiful! So classic, simple and pretty, in fact, I’d be tempted to call her by her first and middle name all the time. [name]Love[/name] this!
[name]Reuben[/name] is great, too. Why not [name]Reuben[/name] [name]Karl[/name]?
I like [name]Tayte[/name] [name]Reuben[/name]. [name]Tayte[/name] [name]Karl[/name] is nice too, but I think I prefer [name]Reuben[/name] as it has 2 syllables. If I have a son I am seriously considering naming him [name]Tate[/name]. Good choice.
[name]How[/name] do you pronounce [name]Ana[/name] - is it ‘[name]Anna[/name]’ or ‘Arna’? Either way it’s a pretty name.
