We can’t decide and are 4 weeks away…[name_f]Nell[/name_f] or [name_f]Norah[/name_f]?? Middle name is likely going to be juniper so [name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] or [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]? Also willing to consider other j middle names…help!!!
I prefer [name_f]Nora[/name_f] (this spelling) because [name_f]Nell[/name_f] is a nickname name and I just don’t like those! [name_f]Norah[/name_f] is a made up spelling. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is the original (and the best!).
I like both [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and [name_f]Norah[/name_f] though [name_f]Nell[/name_f] seems insubstantial and I prefer the original spelling of [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is a lovely name. It would be my pick. Other suggestions-
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] nn [name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] nn [name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] nn [name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_u]Nelly[/name_u]/[name_f]Nellie[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] nn [name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Neila[/name_f]/[name_f]Nialla[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] nn [name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] nn [name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]/[name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]/[name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Janie[/name_f] (With ‘[name_f]Nell[/name_f]’ I would prefer the [name_f]Jaynie[/name_f] spelling though I usually dislike it immensely)
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]/[name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Janaya[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]/[name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Janine[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]/[name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Janice[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]/[name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]/[name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Jaqueline[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]/[name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Janet[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]/[name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_f]Janette[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] best!
I prefer [name_f]Nora[/name_f] (this spelling) [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is beautiful, sweet, and spunky.
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]! It flows much better than [name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]. And I like [name_f]Nora[/name_f]/[name_f]Norah[/name_f] better than [name_f]Nell[/name_f] in general.
I prefer [name_f]Norah[/name_f], and also prefer the spelling [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. The flow with [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is gorgious, btw. I guess [name_f]Nell[/name_f] just seems too “old lady” for me.
I don’t think it’s really crossed over into the “old-lady-with-spunk” category like [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] or [name_f]Agatha[/name_f]. So yes, I prefer [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. If you really want some more “N” alternatives here are some:
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Natanya[/name_f]
[name_f]Nina[/name_f]
[name_f]Neema[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Norma[/name_f]
[name_f]Nova[/name_f]
[name_f]Noor[/name_f]
Nolllie
[name_f]Noa[/name_f]
[name_m]Both[/name_m] [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and [name_f]Norah[/name_f] are gorgeous, and I like [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] too. The only reason I’d pick [name_f]Nell[/name_f] over [name_f]Norah[/name_f] is simply because [name_f]Norah[/name_f]'s extremely common in my area for little girls, so as pretty as it is, I am a little tired of hearing it again and again.
I prefer [name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] since I don’t really like [name_f]Norah[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like the spelling [name_f]Nelle[/name_f], pronounced the same way? It feels less nicknamey to me and has the literary connection of ([name_f]Nelle[/name_f]) [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]. She published under her middle name because of potential confusion with “[name_f]Nellie[/name_f]” but I believe went by her first name [name_f]Nelle[/name_f]. I actually have a typewriter named [name_f]Nelle[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] and people say it’s a pretty name.
I prefer [name_f]Norah[/name_f], and I don’t mind the added “h.” I think it looks nicer, actually
If [name_f]Nell[/name_f] was a nn I might pick it but since it’s being used on its own I’ll pick [name_f]Norah[/name_f]. I prefer your spelling but be prepared to correct people. I think [name_f]Norah[/name_f] is just lovely! I really like [name_f]Nell[/name_f] too. It seems too nicknamey to me but meeting a little girl with the name could change my mind. I don’t think you can go wrong with either! Great choices!
I like [name_f]Norah[/name_f] or [name_f]Nora[/name_f].
I vote for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. Since both [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] are traditionally nicknames for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], you could call her either – just wait and see what fits after she is born.
If you don’t like that option, I would go with [name_f]Norah[/name_f], although I prefer the simpler spelling [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. [name_f]Nell[/name_f] just sounds too nickname-y to me.
