Nelle/Nell or Elle?

Which one sounds less cutesy? Which one do you like best and why?

Nell sounds old lady. [name_f]Elle[/name_f] sound like a fashion model lol.

My favourite is [name_f]Nell[/name_f]. I don’t think any of them are cutesy.

Elle is a long time favorite of mine :two_hearts: I think it is so simple and lovely.

Nell sounds the least cutesy to me

Neither of them sound cutesy, but I prefer [name_f]Nell[/name_f], and with [name_f]Elle[/name_f], you might get [name_f]Elle[/name_f] [name_m]Woods[/name_m].

I prefer [name_f]Nell[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Nell[/name_f] is really beautiful. It’s simple, friendly and sounds nice.
The other options are fine as well but the extra e in the [name_f]Nelle[/name_f] spelling confuses me and [name_f]Elle[/name_f] just sounds like the letter L to me and reminds me of the [name_u]French[/name_u] pronoun.

Nell sounds less cutesy to me. I actually prefer [name_f]Nell[/name_f] to [name_f]Elle[/name_f]

Nell!! So underused and not overly feminine

I love both but I think I slightly prefer [name_f]Nell[/name_f]. I’m not a fan of [name_f]Nell[/name_f]/Elle being use as full names though, if I wanted an [name_f]Elle[/name_f] I’d use a longer [name_f]El[/name_f]- name ([name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], etc), and I love [name_f]Nell[/name_f] as a pet name of [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f], etc.

I think [name_f]Elle[/name_f] sounds most mature. But [name_f]Nell[/name_f] is more unique.

None of them are cutesy, they’re all lovely and chic and simple.

Personally, I love [name_f]Nell[/name_f] best. It’s so funky and feisty. I also like the [name_f]Nelle[/name_f] spelling, and I think [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is very cool and sophisticated too. But [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] is quite popular, which makes [name_f]Nell[/name_f]/Nelle feel like the more distinctive choice.

Nell is the least cutesy.

Nelle is nice too, but there may be pronounciation issues.

I’ve never been fond of [name_f]Elle[/name_f]- the fact that it’s a french pronoun has always really confused me when trying to think of it as a name.

I love [name_f]Nell[/name_f]. [name_f]Elle[/name_f] sounds über cutesy to me and [name_f]Nelle[/name_f] looks cutesy with the added e at the end.

I really love [name_f]Nell[/name_f]!

I prefer [name_f]Nell[/name_f]

Elle for me! I think [name_f]Nell[/name_f] is fine, I just find it a bit boring.

Neither is cutesy but I think [name_f]Nell[/name_f] has more spark while [name_f]Elle[/name_f] has more elegance. I think it totally depends on the vibe you want

I don’t think any of them are cutesy, and I genuinely like them all. I think it depends on what vibe you’re going for. For me, [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is chic and sophisticated. [name_f]Nell[/name_f] is sweet and down-to-earth. [name_f]Nelle[/name_f] is [name_f]Nell[/name_f] with just a bit more spirit thanks to that e on the end.

Nelle or [name_f]Nell[/name_f] are fine. I do not like [name_f]Elle[/name_f], Elllie, or names that sound like that.
