Would love your thoughts on the name [name_u]Neo[/name_u] for a boy. Any hesitation for this name?
[name_f]My[/name_f] associations are the meaning (“new”),The [name_u]Matrix[/name_u] character, and the singer Ne-Yo. It’s got a cool sound and feels very on-trend with the rising popularity of names like [name_u]Leo[/name_u] and [name_u]Nova[/name_u].
I like it a lot and recommend it on here often. Never get any positive feedback about it though, but it is so good.
[name_u]Neo[/name_u] is gorgeous! I would definitely use it
It’s very matrix, but it’s also on trend with names like [name_u]Leo[/name_u] and [name_u]Rio[/name_u] so
[name_u]Neo[/name_u] is cool! I think of “new”
I like the sound of it. [name_m]Just[/name_m] be prepared to hear lots of [name_u]Matrix[/name_u], “chosen one” and red pill or blue pill comments from those of us in the older generations.
Other kids probably won’t know or care though.
i love it! don’t quite link the matrix association but it’s a beautiful name
[name_u]Super[/name_u] Matrix-y. I would use it as a nickname for [name_m]Antonio[/name_m]
It is very [name_u]Matrix[/name_u] but I bet in real life it would be awesome!
Immediately thought of The [name_u]Matrix[/name_u], and also of the prefix “new”.
I’d say the film association will be pretty strong for a lot of people, but the name does have a very “cool” ring to it!
Again I immediately thought of The [name_u]Matrix[/name_u] but I don’t think that’s a bad thing at all but I just don’t think it works on a real person tbh. It just doesn’t sound like a proper name for a human. That’s just my opinion
Summary
thank you for pointing that out! Not sure what happened as that comment also posted on the right post…
On [name_u]Neo[/name_u]: it does have a cool, fresh sound - like [name_u]Nova[/name_u] and [name_u]Leo[/name_u] combined but it’s own name too. It does have a Matrix-y feel but that could be fun
it seems i’m in the minority here, so it shouldn’t be a problem, but my first thought was neo-n*zi so it wouldn’t be my pick.
I’ve met one (maybe more that one actually), and I think it works fine! Wearable, if not my favorite. I’m hesitant that it’s a common add-on prefix to mean “new,” but that could also be part of its charm. The [name_m]Keanu[/name_m] association sharpens it nicely.
Yes. Mine as well… though I’m sure not everyone’s will be, which makes it feel more usable!
Exact same thoughts here.
It’s my cat’s name. He was named for The [name_u]Matrix[/name_u] character because he’s solid black like the deja Vu cat that crosses Neo’s path. I love it! I could definitely see it on a human.
