Nerys

What do you think of this name?
Any association?
Would you use it? What are reservation against it if not?
Some combo ideas?

[name_f]Rosabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Nerys[/name_f] vs current [name_f]Rosabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Kyra[/name_f]
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Nerys[/name_f] vs current [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Delyth[/name_f]
[name_f]Nerys[/name_f] [name_f]Angelica[/name_f] would be a possibility, if you like [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Delyth[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Kyra[/name_f] better than alternatives.

Love [name_f]Nerys[/name_f]! Wouldn’t use it myself as I know too many, but [name_f]Rosabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Nerys[/name_f] and [name_f]Nerys[/name_f] [name_f]Angelica[/name_f] are both good combos. I don’t think [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Nerys[/name_f] flows very well though.

[name_f]Nerys[/name_f] reminds me of water -it’s lovely

[name_f]Rosabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Nerys[/name_f] and Anastasia Nerys are nice though i think I prefer Anastasia Delyth

[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Nerys[/name_f]
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Nerys[/name_f]

I think it’s really pretty. I’ve never met a [name_f]Nerys[/name_f] (I don’t live in [name_m]Wales[/name_m]). It reminds of [name_f]Daenerys[/name_f] from Game of Thrones, but seems somewhat more usable to me than [name_f]Daenerys[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Nerys[/name_f] and [name_f]Nerys[/name_f] [name_f]Angelica[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Nerys[/name_f] is a lovely choice! I personally prefer [name_f]Cerys[/name_f], in sound and meaning, but [name_f]Nerys[/name_f] is unusual, and beautiful too.

My main association is a [name_f]Star[/name_f] Trek character; [name_f]Kira[/name_f] [name_f]Nerys[/name_f], although it’s said [name_m]Nuh[/name_m]-reese on the show. I don’t think it’s an association that loads of people would necessarily be aware of though, especially given the different pronunciation. And she’s a great character anyway.

I would use it if I liked it enough. I definitely think it’s usable.

I think [name_f]Rosabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Nerys[/name_f] and [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Delyth[/name_f] are great choices!

Rosabelle [name_f]Nerys[/name_f], [name_f]Rosabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Kyra[/name_f], [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Nerys[/name_f] and [name_f]Nerys[/name_f] [name_f]Angelica[/name_f] are so beautiful!
I would go with [name_f]Rosabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Kyra[/name_f] and [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Nerys[/name_f]!

First thoughts are it’s pretty and has a nice sound, but it would be very unusual here (US). It also reminded me of [name_f]Daenerys[/name_f] and I have never even watched Game of Thrones. I probably wouldn’t use it mostly because it would be rather unusual. I find too many people who struggle to pronounce common names (especially if they have an usual spelling, like my first name–[name_f]Chelsee[/name_f]), let alone a name that is from another culture/language. I would maybe consider it as a middle name if I really loved it, but would likely avoid it in the first name spot for reasons stated earlier.

I agree with @ChelsAnne22’s assessment. Especially given the way Game of Thrones ended (I won’t give spoilers…I just suggest people look up [name_f]Daenerys[/name_f] in the GoT ending episodes before using that name or similar ones). I also think that name ([name_f]Nerys[/name_f]) is better as a middle, if you love it. I’m not a fan of the sound (I think it reminds me of the phrase “ne’er do well”?), but it’s up to you!
