I have always used Namberry as my resource to find names but for some reason I never signed up. DH and I have our 3rd due Nov 1st. It takes us forever to agree on names so we’ve already been brainstorming. Obviously I don’t know what we are having yet but he and I can’t get on board with any girls names.
We have 2 girls already. [name]Aliza[/name] [name]Helene[/name] ([name]Aliza[/name] is pronounced like [name]Eliza[/name] but with the [name]Ah[/name] sound). DH was dead set on [name]Eliza[/name] but didn’t want it said Ee-[name]Liza[/name]. Whatever I wasn’t going to fight when it was enough to find a name we agreed on. She is named after my Great Grandma who was [name]Alice[/name] and my Mom who was named [name]Helen[/name]. We have even thought of changing her mn to [name]Helen[/name] but I keep going back and forth.
My other daughter is [name]Liana[/name] [name]Eve[/name] (lee ah na). She is named after an uncle named [name]Larry[/name] who passed away and my Great Aunt [name]Evelyn[/name].
Our last name is 3 syllables and starts with an S and ends with an N. I like older names but DH is a little harder to sway that way. And I do not like top 100 names at all! I prefer to name after the dead but I don’t think we are this time because we don’t like anything with the names we have. So baby’s Hebrew name will be after someone.
Anyways, for a boy I think we like [name]Tobias[/name] ([name]Toby[/name]) [name]Clark[/name] S…
For girls, names on my list that are favorites are [name]Mabel[/name] and [name]Hazel[/name] but I typically like 3 syllable names and I prefer for my names to have a good meaning and the meaning of [name]Hazel[/name] just isn’t doing it for me
Any girl suggestions that are whatever my style is? [name]Do[/name] you think the boys name works? I love [name]Clark[/name] as a first name but DH was writing up combos of the names from my list and he put [name]Toby[/name] [name]Clark[/name] and I really liked it but I prefer [name]Toby[/name] as a NN since I don’t think it ages well.
[name]Aliza[/name] and [name]Liana[/name] are pretty, frilly and feminine names. While I love [name]Mabel[/name] and like [name]Hazel[/name], they’re more solid, vintage and no-nonsense names. I think something more lacier would be wonderful.
[name]Marina[/name]
[name]Gemma[/name]
[name]Daniela[/name]
[name]Tamara[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name]/[name]Shoshana[/name] (if you don’t mind alliteration)
[name]Carina[/name]
[name]Raphaela[/name]
[name]Talia[/name]/[name]Thalia[/name]
[name]Louisa[/name]
[name]Bianca[/name]
[name]Eudora[/name]
[name]Elisheva[/name]
[name]Mahala[/name]
Thank you! There are some names on there I hadn’t considered. I love [name]Talia[/name] and [name]Bianca[/name] and they sound good with my other 2 girls names. Any opinion on the flow of the boys name?
I love the spunky [name]Tobias[/name] and it flows well with [name]Clark[/name]. Although ending in an “s” is not ideal with a surname beginning with “S”, if your son is going to be called [name]Toby[/name] S. most of the time then that shouldn’t be a deal-breaker. There is an option of [name]Tobiah[/name] as well. I’m glad you like [name]Bianca[/name] and [name]Talia[/name].
I have to disagree, I think [name]Toby[/name] ages quite well. [name]Tobias[/name] is nice too though, which [name]Toby[/name] as a nick name. That way when he gets older, he won’t have to be called [name]Toby[/name]. [name]Clark[/name] is really nice too, but i don’t think it matches the other children’s names. That is just my opinion, not everyone likes matchy sibling names…
Thank you for your help! I have always enjoyed reading everyone’s posts on here and am glad I joined to get all of your input. I love having more to work with.
