We still have plenty of time before we meet baby boy, but we definitely have been tossing around names a lot. I found a new name & although I’ve heard it before & liked it, I guess I never thought of it for my baby until now. My husband & I both have Hebrew names. And, for the heck of it, I started looking at those & I came across [name]Ethan[/name]. We are using [name]Micah[/name] as the middle name. It means “strong”. I am loving this. [name]Just[/name] thought I would run my list across to you berries with this addition. Thanks in advance for the advice!
There is also a chance that I would even use [name]Micah[/name] as the first name. I haven’t totally been all about it, but I still love it. It’s my husband’s middle name. My father’s name is [name]David[/name] & his father’s name is [name]Scott[/name], so I am throwing out this name too…
[name]Micah[/name] [name]David[/name] [name]Scott[/name] (DH has 2 middle names, so I figured we could maybe go with 2 as well to honor both our fathers).
Thanks again & I’m totally taking suggestions too!
Hmm…
I like [name]Micah[/name] [name]David[/name] [name]Scott[/name] because the combination is just so lovely and family orientated. [name]Micah[/name] [name]David[/name] [name]Scott[/name], sounds gorgeous and incredibly handsome furthermore [name]Micah[/name] is a Hebrew name which links to both his parents tying the names altogether. The name is lovely. I also love [name]Ethan[/name] [name]Micah[/name], [name]Ethan[/name] is a handsome name very soft and wholesome. [name]Ethan[/name] flows wonderfully with [name]Micah[/name]. I dislike [name]Brooks[/name] but [name]Sullivan[/name] is okay. Still I prefer the idea of using a name of Hebrew origins to draw you altogether.

My son has 4 Ethans in his [name]Sunday[/name] school class. It may not matter to you and it is a wonderful name, just wanted to give you a heads up that it is very popular. I also love [name]Brooks[/name], [name]Micah[/name] and [name]Sullivan[/name] - all great names!
I’m a big fan of two middle names and like the flow of [name]Micah[/name] [name]David[/name] [name]Scott[/name]. Of the other options, I think [name]Ethan[/name] [name]Micah[/name] sounds the best. [name]Brooks[/name] and [name]Sullivan[/name] don’t quite go with [name]Micah[/name], IMHO, although [name]Sullivan[/name] [name]Brooks[/name] sounds nice to my ear.
Thank you everyone! I am loving that the response to [name]Micah[/name]! I am so darn picky on literally everything right now. And, it does bother me that [name]Ethan[/name] is so popular. I want something a little more unique. I think we will come up with 2 or 3 names & then have to wait until [name]July[/name] to see him. But, definitely would love suggestions.
1 [name]Micah[/name] [name]David[/name] [name]Scott[/name] - love the flow and the special meaning
2 [name]Ethan[/name] [name]Micah[/name] - I love [name]Ethan[/name] but it’s so darn popular your son may not be the only one in his class!
3 [name]Sullivan[/name] [name]Micah[/name] - OK
4 [name]Brooks[/name] [name]Micah[/name] - not a fan of the harsh [name]Brooks[/name] at all.
I like [name]Micah[/name] the best and [name]Sullivan[/name] second best. [name]Ethan[/name] is overused IMHO and [name]Brooks[/name] seems feminine to me even though I know it is a boy’s name.
Ok, so I’m thinking [name]Micah[/name] is definitely in the running. We have crossed off [name]Ethan[/name] from the list b/c it is too popular. DH and myself both have names that are not very popular. His especially. I know one other person with his name & that is it. And I was the only one with my name in my class. So that is our goal.
My mom did bring up the name Attis. Hmmmm. It means “handsome boy”. Cute, but something about it I’m not liking. And, @meetcute I’m with ya on [name]Brooks[/name]…I can’t stop thinking of the feminine versions of it. [name]Brooke[/name] & [name]Brooklyn[/name], so sad to say b/c I do like it, but it is off the list as well.
I love the name [name]Micah[/name]! Have you thought about switching [name]David[/name] and [name]Scott[/name]? For some reason, I keep thinking [name]Micah[/name] [name]Scott[/name] [name]David[/name] sounds a little nicer. [name]Just[/name] a thought since the name is nice either way.
I think [name]Micah[/name] is adorable! And [name]Micah[/name] [name]David[/name] [name]Scott[/name] is a great combination. You might want to avoid putting all your meaningful family names on your first son. [name]How[/name] would you honor a second, or even third, son?
[name]Ethan[/name], while very handsome, is also very popular. If that is of no concern I do like it.
[name]Brooks[/name]… hmmm
[name]Sullivan[/name]- nice strong name.
Loving [name]Micah[/name] as the first name! Esp with [name]David[/name] [name]Scott[/name]
