New Brother for William and Thomas

Hi,

Struggling with a boys’ name for baby number 3. I have a large family and a lot of the names we like are already taken ([name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_m]Robert[/name_m], [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], [name_m]Edward[/name_m]).
Also conscious that we already have a [name_m]William[/name_m] and don’t want to have anything too [name_u]Royal[/name_u] such as [name_u]George[/name_u] or [name_m]Charles[/name_m] or [name_m]Henry[/name_m].

Any suggestions for a brother to join [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Franklin[/name_m]?

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband really likes [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] but I have a cousin with that name and I would think it might be strange to use it?

We both really like the nickname [name_u]Kit[/name_u] to go with [name_m]Will[/name_m] and [name_m]Tom[/name_m] but not sold on [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]. And suggestions? I think [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] might work…

[name_u]Christian[/name_u] for [name_u]Kit[/name_u]? As for [name_m]Patrick[/name_m], I have actually known two different sets of brothers that were [name_m]Tom[/name_m] and [name_u]Pat[/name_u] (they each had a third brother who was not a [name_m]Will[/name_m]) so I’d say they go nicely together lol, I think Kit is also workable for Patrick!

[name_u]Kit[/name_u] is great. I knew a [name_u]Kristian[/name_u] ([name_u]Christian[/name_u]) who went by [name_u]Kit[/name_u].

[name_m]Patrick[/name_m] could work. What do you think of the name Finn? or Finnegan?

One of my friends has a little boy called [name_u]Finn[/name_u] so it’s out. It is a lovely name though!

The only other options I’ve seen for [name_u]Kit[/name_u] are [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] and [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], neither of which really seem like your style. I think [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is a bit of a stretch, but it works!

Kit and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] are wonderful with your sons’ names! I think that [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] called [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is a bit more of a stretch than the nicknames for your sons’s names, but I think it is so perfect for you! Otherwise, I like the idea of [name_u]Christian[/name_u] called [name_u]Kit[/name_u] which goes really well too.
