New Create a Family With a Twist

Mireille Primrose Ouattra (22) is Simone’s younger sister and Ruby’s new crush. She currently resides in Côte d’Ivoire with most of the Ouattra family. She knows Simone lives in France and doesn’t quite know what to think of her past fling with Armand but is happy Simone is in a real and true relationship with a partner she truly loves now. Mireille secretly wants that for herself and loves coming over to visit people. She knows briefly about the car crash calamity and has supported Ruby alongside Simone’s friend Clyde, who had also been in a car accident but survived. Clyde isn’t very vocal about what happened to him and doesn’t like to talk about it, which Mireille respects, but he’ll still do it for Ruby especially since she’s trying to stop accidents like that from happening. Mireille, Simone, and Clyde can’t imagine actually dying in a car accident and finds the idea of such to be highly catastrophic.

Ruby and Mireille have had friendly and supportive conversations and Mireille is feeling some sort of attraction to Ruby but isn’t sure how to process that as she hasn’t been in a lot of relationships. She knows about Ruby’s half-sister in Riyadh and knows about Ruby’s other three siblings; Elle, Alexi, and Eilis’s eldest child whom Orla personally relates to. She barely knows about Molly but doesn’t want to get into matters too personally. She is close with Alexi and speaks French with him a lot and is also on great terms with Elle, but doesn’t quite know that Ruby is mutually attracted to her and that Elle knows this.

Simone was created by @wandering_willow.

Clyde was created by me.

Felix Penrose Ouattra (20) is the little brother of Mireille and Simone. Like Mireille, he lives in Côte d’ Ivoire. He lives in Abidjan, and he’s a professional model there- though he often uses the money to visit France and see Simone. He’s met Ruby, Alexi and Elle, though he doesn’t know them personally. He’s befriended Clyde, and he feels terrible about the car crashes- both Clyde and Ruby, and he wishes he could do something to take their pain away. He’s never been in a car accident as he’s never driven- he’s too scared, and if you have severe anxiety like Felix, fear often gets the best of you and you can’t do many things you’d love to try- despite Simone and Mireille’s encouragement, he’s still stuck in a rut.

Felix is in a long distance relationship with a girl in France, one of Armand’s many former mistresses who’s also friends with Eilis’ oldest child, He hasn’t told his family, but he’s planning to move to France if the relationship gets serious. He hopes it does, because he really loves this girl- they met through instagram. Felix didn’t start out signed to an agency- he started as an instagram model by the username of felix_is_a_penguin- Felix loves penguins dearly. He posed in front of many Ivorian historical sights and tourist attractions, using Instagram revenue to purchase new outfits. With the help of his siblings, some of which lent him some of their money, others worked as cameramen and women, Felix’s account quickly rose to stardom. When he was offered a contract for a well-known agency, Felix did a little happy dance- he uses most of his money to support his family, and some of it to support his girlfriend, who has a child herself. She used to be living as a single mother, and Felix hated to see her in such poor condition- nobody to help her. Felix is a naturally giving soul who often offers too much of himself to people who couldn’t care less about him.

Little does Felix know his girlfriend isn’t who she said she was- she’s cheating on him, with Armand (for money) and with many other men, for money and for thrill. Ruby, Alexi and Elle’s older sister hasn’t told Felix yet because she didn’t know last time he visited, but they’re planning on it….but every time this sibling sees Felix and his girlfriend on video calls or in person, Felix has a puppy dog look in his eyes and they can’t bring themself to tell Felix how his girlfriend doesn’t love him nearly as much as he loves her.

Censored warning for cancer and car accident deaths. Uncensored warning for location-specific misogyny.

[name_f]Jala[/name_f] [name_f]Aliyah[/name_f] [name_m]Zahavi[/name_m] (24) is Felix’s confidant. She’s Ruby’s half-sister who resides in [name_m]Riyadh[/name_m], [name_f]Saudi[/name_f] [name_f]Arabia[/name_f]. [name_m]Felix[/name_m] knows her from [name_f]Mireille[/name_f] and knows that she is Ruby’s half-sister. Likewise, [name_f]Jala[/name_f] is also afraid to drive but unlike [name_m]Felix[/name_m], she has driven before and wants to get over her fear of driving — she’s only been allowed to drive for a few years after the ban on women driving cars in [name_f]Saudi[/name_f] [name_f]Arabia[/name_f] was lifted. She’s still not over the fatal collision her family was involved in, seeing so many lives of her relatives were lost. She loves them all equally but secretly misses her mother most — she had just beaten breast cancer 3 months earlier only to end up dead in a car accident. [name_f]Jala[/name_f] will never get over how unfair this is and remembers how blissfully happy she was when her mother won her battle with cancer along with how happy her mother was. [name_f]Jala[/name_f] sees the silver lining: her mother didn’t want cancer to take her and it didn’t. She died a winner. But she shouldn’t have died at all and should have enjoyed her survival and gone on to re-live life again. It’s still not enough to make up for how angered she is to have lost her mother and so many other relatives.

Having [name_m]Felix[/name_m] around to bond with has truly helped her and helped him know more about her family and for her to know more about his. She loves his Instagram photos but the two only like each other as friends. She knows [name_m]Felix[/name_m] has a girlfriend and was head-over-heels excited for [name_m]Felix[/name_m] and his girlfriend. She asked her if she models often and how to be a model and got great advice from her. She learned wearing a hijab and long conservative clothing doesn’t mean she can’t model with them on. [name_f]Jala[/name_f] was becoming good friends with her…until [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] told her that she’s a gold digging cheater and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] is falling for a fraud. [name_f]Jala[/name_f] unfollowed her but hasn’t stated why she has, so Felix’s girlfriend doesn’t know why she did and tries to act like they’re still friends. [name_f]Jala[/name_f] hopes [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and her adoptive siblings can bring [name_m]Felix[/name_m] to the truth.

**huge tw: strict conservative parents, pregnant 16-year-old, substance abuse and cheating. **

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] [name_m]Bouvier[/name_m] (19) is the girlfriend of [name_m]Felix[/name_m], and a fling of [name_m]Armand[/name_m]. All these other answers claim she’s not a good person, and she herself would agree with that. Her parents were strict conservatives who were a bit too overprotective of her and her twin brother (who was born her twin sister), who cut out [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and the rest of her family a long time ago. Her father was a pastor and her mother was a stay at home mother, whose main goal in life was shaping her daughter into a mold of her…she made her wear long dresses and long sleeves from a very young age so nobody would touch her- in her mother’s eyes, this was a way of protecting [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. She was safe as long as predatory men couldn’t feast their eyes on her. They lived in a suburb of [name_u]Paris[/name_u], which was pretty nice- cookie cutter homes and tree lined streets. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] always longed for something more than this. Her first dream was to become a singer- her voice was very melodic and beautiful before she started smoking. She’d put on “ concerts “ on the playground and other kids would marvel at her talent, and she’d bow bashfully. But she later realized she didn’t love singing, she loved the praise she got when she did it- so she migrated to acting.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] signed up for a school play in fourth grade, much to her mother’s horror- this school was a private Catholic school, so the uniforms were pleated skirts that went down to the girls’ calves and collared white shirts with long sleeves, which her mother found reasonable. However, the play was “ Sleeping [name_f]Beauty[/name_f], “ and Mrs. [name_m]Bouvier[/name_m] found the outfits too suggestive. The school was K-8, so everyone was surprised when a fourth grader earned the role of [name_f]Maleficent[/name_f]. Audrey’s uniform was a long, fitted black dress with cutouts on her shoulders, and her mother demanded she wear a long black shirt underneath it- [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] found her mother’s rules ridiculous and decided not to wear the shirt underneath. When her parents watched the play, both were mortified. Her twin brother responded with “wow, imagine being such a snowflake that a little girl’s shoulders trigger you. Embarrassing.” Both were grounded for a whole month. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] still never lost her passion or talent for acting. She continued signing up for community plays and landing great roles.

However, when her aunt moved in from [name_u]Paris[/name_u] when [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] was in eighth grade, everything changed. Her aunt and her mom were sisters- her mom was only 18 months older. But the two couldn’t have been more different- her aunt was a glamorous woman with radiant, flawless skin, flamboyant makeup, and a wardrobe full of elegant clothes- she even smelled glamorous. Audrey’s mom was a heavier woman, with graying hair and liver-spotted skin. Audrey’s aunt told stories of the modeling industry- and how her company was scouting models. While [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] hadn’t forgotten acting, she became interested in modeling- despite her parents giving her a no. Audrey’s aunt bought her some new clothes- cropped tops, short shorts and push-up bras. Audrey’s mother was so extreme that she refused to let her daughter wear a bra for two years, saying it was “unnecessary.” She even landed [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] a few modeling gigs- she met a tight-knit group of friends there and became very close with them. A month later, Audrey’s aunt got kicked out after she was found having an affair with Audrey’s own father- who died of a heart attack 6 months afterwards.

By the time [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] was 15, her whole life was partying. Her family became poor after her fathers death and lived off church money- and even then it wasn’t enough. Audrey’s mother abandoned her son- after he came out as a male, she decided she didn’t want her son in her life anymore. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] became heavily depressed and began smoking and drinking. She fooled around with a boy who claimed to love her, but ditched her the second she became pregnant- her son’s now three, and she made the decision the day he was born that she would do anything to give him a good life. She got a job for [name_m]Armand[/name_m] Labossiere at 16, and turned down his offer for an affair at first, but when he caught her trying to shoplift his late wife’s jewelry, he said that if she slept with him he wouldn’t report her to the police, and he’d let her keep the money- so she kept it up and he paid her every time. She’s doing it all for her son- she does love [name_m]Felix[/name_m] but she wants his money more, and she’ll do anything for money…

[name_f]Emeline[/name_f] [name_f]Monique[/name_f] [name_f]Balou[/name_f] (25) used to grow up on the same street as [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and was also a mistress of [name_m]Armand[/name_m]. She’s determined to get [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] out of her affair and relationship with him but she also pities [name_m]Felix[/name_m] and believe he deserves to know the truth regardless of whether he and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] stay together or not. Audrey’s parents hated her growing up and [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] used to attend the private school before her parents transferred her to public school. She and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] were on the same street but we’re not next-door neighbours although the houses between hers and Audrey’s hated both families because they always feuded and made it miserable for everyone else on the block. Audrey’s parents still hate her now, especially since she often wore crop tops and short shorts but [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] was always a supporter of freedom of expression. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] liked her parents, they had a secret: they adopted her as an infant. They always acted like she was their biological child and never told her anything about it until she was 14, when she started to suspect it. This angered [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] that they have hid it for so long and never brought it up or hinted at it once before then, and made their relationship rocky. She still snarks about this today, when she said, “I’m not sure if I want to give up a kidney yet [name_m]Armand[/name_m], maybe ask my parents — OH WAIT they’re not matches. I wonder why…” If only she was adopted by [name_f]Eilis[/name_f] instead, it would have been much better for her.

She and [name_m]Armand[/name_m] don’t quite get along, but she is a trusted employee and good perfume model for Labossiere Perfumes so she hasn’t gotten fired. But she is quitting and just sent her two-weeks notice, so in two weeks from now, she’s out of the company. The decision she made to leave stemmed from a confidential phone call she made on a relationship counsel hotline when she asked how to stop working for [name_m]Armand[/name_m] because she was tired of being seen as a mistress and not a hardworking employee. This phone call turned into a genuine bond with the operator [name_u]Clyde[/name_u] and they would give out their regular phone numbers to have regular conversations outside of Clyde’s work. She’s surprised by how close she and [name_u]Clyde[/name_u] live and she believes he could start a lovely relationship with her, but he’s still afraid to meet her in person. She’s hoping it’s not because he’s a cheater or a catfish and he’s neither, he’s just seriously self-conscious she won’t accept him for the scar on his face, as his late grandfather [name_u]Henri[/name_u] always harassed him over that and said he’d never find love with that scar. Truthfully [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] is a very accepting person and would still date [name_u]Clyde[/name_u] anyway, but he is quite shy.

From [name_u]Clyde[/name_u], [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] has become great friends with [name_u]Simone[/name_u] and her partner especially since [name_u]Simone[/name_u] is Armand’s friend and has helped [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] be more understanding of him even though [name_u]Simone[/name_u] supports Emeline’s decision to leave his perfume company. [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] knows [name_m]Felix[/name_m] from [name_u]Simone[/name_u] but they’ve seen each other in person only once. She thinks [name_m]Felix[/name_m] is an amazing person and both relate to one another since they’ve both done modeling. [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] are becoming closer and she knows that [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is a good person despite the treatment her parents gave her and her twin brother. She supports [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] but is convinced [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is sleeping with [name_m]Armand[/name_m], although [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] has been working for him for three years before having the first “sleep”. She knows [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] just needs money and she will need money after her job expires; and [name_f]Emeline[/name_f], Audrey’s twin brother, and Simone’s partner are trying to convince [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] to pursue her real desired career — acting!

Concepcion Inocencia Teresa “ Coco “ Gonzalez-Lemont (18) grew up on the same street as Audrey and Emeline, and is now dating Audrey’s twin brother. She’s not the next door neighbor between Emeline and Audrey’s childhood homes, she’s only Audrey’s old next door neighbor (how many of you lost brain cells reading that? I know I lost some while writing that). She started dating him pre-transition, as she’s pan and loves all people, but she stuck with him through thick and thin. Here’s the catch though- they have to hide it from Coco’s parents, because they still talk to the Bouvier family as they live next door to each other and attend the same church. Coco’s parents weren’t as strict as Audrey’s but still, they were unfair to her- making her wear long dresses in summertime and itchy sweaters to cover her and shield her from the eyes of predatory men- because apparently a t-shirt is too revealing for a three-year-old. She formed a friendship with Audrey and her twin brother, and they all bonded over hating skirts and frilly dresses, though Audrey’s twin obviously hated them the most. Emeline’s parents weren’t as extreme as all of their parents, but she still sympathized with them.

Coco came from a family of five people, which includes herself- they all had to share a room, which sucked because three of them were boys. Coco’s dad was born and raised in the same Parisian suburb as Coco, while her mom was from Barcelona, in Spain. As a result, the kids grew up speaking in Spanish and French, and Coco taught some swears to the Bouvier children that their parents couldn’t understand. Eventually though, they caught on. When Audrey took up acting, Coco was really proud of her, and so was Emeline. They thought she did a great job as Maleficent- Coco was actually also in the play, but she played a gender-neutral gnome so nobody really needed to worry about her being too revealing for a stage. Coco still loves acting and sometimes participates in plays at the community theater, but she’s not nearly as good as Audrey is which she tells her all the time.

Coco has met Audrey’s son, her “ little ray of sunshine,” and she agrees he’s a very cute baby. Coco didn’t get pregnant despite fooling around from a young age- at 14, when she found an ominous little red spot (iykyk), since the school didn’t tell girls about that stuff she did her own research and decided to go on the pill. She offered money to Audrey to do the same but she declined, thinking she wouldn’t get pregnant as their school taught them nothing about that stuff. Audrey’s twin brother warned her not to do that sort of thing but she said no and wound up pregnant. Coco and her boyfriend (Audrey’s twin) are deep down glad it happened because they get a cute little nephew who’s really sweet, but wish Audrey could’ve had him under better circumstances and with a nice loving person.

Coco doesn’t work for Labossiere Perfumes but she suspects that Audrey is doing something with Armand, and she’s tried to warn her to stop, but Audrey gave her a look and started crying hysterically. “ Are you attacking me? “ she pleaded, on her knees. Coco scoffed at her- she loves Audrey but this has happened way too many times and she needs to be more mature about this sort of thing- “save it for the stage.” Audrey’s twin agrees and says she should definitely act, but she should get another job as Armand’s toxic work environment hasn’t rubbed off on Audrey well, and she doesnt truly love Felix enough to stop cheating on him so she should stop leading him on. But Audrey will always just storm off saying “you don’t get it!” Coco’s really tired and bored, having to make Audrey cooperate isn’t a fun job after all….

Uncensored warning for transphobia and homophobia.

[name_m]Dominic[/name_m] [name_u]Julien[/name_u] [born [name_u]Dominique[/name_u] Julianne] [name_m]Bouvier[/name_m] (19) is Coco’s boyfriend and Audrey’s twin brother. [name_m]Even[/name_m] as a child, he knew lace and bows weren’t for him and hated their idea of conservative gender-conforming clothes. He’s snarked that he’s “become the ‘predatory man’ his parents warned him against” but the only thing preventing his mother from feeling that way about him is the fact that they still refuse to perceive him as a man. He’s close with his aunt despite the fact that his late father had an affair with her. [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] was always on the fence about his father; he felt horrible his father had died but he never saw him as a true father figure to him and truthfully didn’t think life without him was any worse than life with him. His father was also impulsive and very brash, which gave the Bouviers a connection with most Boisclairs since their late father reminded them of the late [name_u]Henri[/name_u] Boisclair, who had a bad relationship with every family member except [name_m]Pierre[/name_m] and also died of a heart attack despite thinking he’d outlast everyone. [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] is glad to be dating [name_u]Coco[/name_u] and is glad to have an LGBTQUIAP+ to not only date but also relate to. The only other community member in Dominic’s family was his closeted gay maternal grandfather, but [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] refused to see him as “community” since his grandpa was outwardly homophobic to cover up that he was gay and [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] would not stand for any type of homophobia no matter what. Like [name_u]Coco[/name_u], [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] is also pansexual.

[name_m]Dominic[/name_m] has always been more level-headed and did not support Audrey’s ex-boyfriend and warned her not to date him. While [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] still dated him and had a child with him, [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] never shunned her and was the best uncle he could be to her son. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] did graduate but [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] wasn’t allowed to be at the graduation ceremony due to her past teenage pregnancy. She couldn’t walk at graduation or wear a cap and gown and had to pick up her diploma before the ceremony began to get it. [name_m]Dominic[/name_m], then known as [name_u]Dominique[/name_u], was allowed to walk and wear the cap and gown, but he refused in protest. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] didn’t watch the ceremony but [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] did - and in more protest, his hair was cut short and he was wearing male clothing - the first public appearance of him in his true trans identity. He knows that his parents and the school hate him, but he doesn’t care since he’s close with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and happily dating [name_u]Coco[/name_u]. They both love Audrey’s sweet bond with her son and Coco’s siblings get along as well. They’re all hoping [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] leaves her affair with [name_m]Armand[/name_m] but they don’t know about the stealing attempt and don’t understand that [name_m]Armand[/name_m] would report [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] to the police if she stopped being a mistress.

tw: abuse, sa, bigoted beliefs

Sophia Marie Dominique “ Sophie “ Bouvier [née Pelletier] is the matriarch of the Bouvier family, who’s terribly narcissistic and mean. She grew up not in a Parisian suburb, but a suburb near Toulouse, France. As Sophie’s the slightly younger sibling, her father would constantly spoil her- but he’d also try to turn her into a h0m0ph0be and r@c1st- he succeeded with both of these things. He would take her out to ice cream and to the toy shop to buy her the nicest porcelain dolls- but he would also often beat her whenever she made a tiny mistake such as knocking down a vase. Poor Sophie would sob into her pillow because she didn’t know what would happen to her if she let herself cry and make noise. If she made a statement such as “all people are equal no matter what their skin color is” or “love is love,” especially that one, the same thing would happen to her and she’d come to school all bruised up- so she adopted her father’s beliefs as she saw no other way. She doesn’t tell Audrey or Dominic about this kind of thing because she doesn’t want to revisit her past traumas.

Sophie’s older sister, Audrey and Dominic’s aunt, was a bit more of a rebel and when her father would try and hit her she would just run as fast as she could, and curl up in a cabinet under the kitchen sink. Sophie took this as a reminder to never fall out of line, and her childlike innocence was wiped away. Unlike her children, Sophie was allowed to wear whatever she wanted- as long as she paid for it herself, so she started buying her own clothes the day she turned ten. She felt very confident and comfortable in her clothes, which her father hated. She tried to reach out to her teachers about this but they all silenced her- her father was an important pillar in their community and still is. Only one teacher actually believed her, and tried to go to authorities with pictures of Sophie’s bruises, but she was forcibly removed from her job. Sophie of course was also punished by her father- he got more violent over the years too. He would tear out chunks of her hair, and he never got caught.

One day Sophie’s sister decided to fight back- but a few scratches on her father’s arms landed her in juvie and she never saw her parents again. Luckily she got adopted after serving her time by a very accepting and prominent family who was involved in the modeling business, and as her sister had “just the right figure for it,” they put her into modeling- however the two sisters did miss each other. Sophie vowed to herself to never marry a man like her father, and she tried to follow through with that. When she was around 18, she decided to leave her parents immediately and head for the French capital, known for its glitz and glamour- Paris. She loved the food, the buildings, the beautiful scenery, she thought she’d never leave. She partied, and did wonderful things there, but one day she went to a party and got inconsensually touched by a man who was the twins’ father.

Sophie was wearing a crop top and shorts like everyone else at the party so she instantly blamed the incident on her clothes. The two got married within two months, by her husband’s pastor family. She gave birth to Audrey and Dominic a bit later, and adored her beautiful twin “girls.” She forced them to wear long clothes because she thought they’d be touched inconsensually like she was if they wore normal clothes, and she really didn’t want her “daughters” to get hurt. She raised them with bigoted beliefs because she was raised that way and she didn’t know anything else- when her father came out she was mad, because he punished her for his ‘disease’ as she called it. When her sister came into town, Sophie was equally mad- she felt her sister had abandoned her. Her sister was kind to her, but Sophie walked in on her sleeping with her husband (who had many affairs throughout the course of their marriage) and told her to leave forever- and her telling Audrey about modeling made Sophie feel threatened. When her husband died, Sophie felt more liberated than sad, though she never told anyone- but when she saw his mistresses at the funeral she tried to physically hurt them. They were so young, so beautiful and they took her husband that she never loved from her…Sophie was angry and she still is. She’s an angry, hateful woman who treats everybody awfully because she hates her life.

Warning: Affairs. Mysterious, possibly suspicious death. Unlikable character…

Update: Just realised I’m stupid and forgot that her last name is Bouvier since she’s on the paternal side of the family, I have fixed that now lol :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Janelle Brigitte Bouvier (54) is the sister-in-law of Sophie. She liked being a warm and happy spirit but it was often to get what she wants. Sophie’s own sister didn’t trust Janelle. Janelle’s worked closely with Armand and Labossiere Perfumes and is in love with him but he doesn’t return her feelings. He doesn’t want her as a mistress because she is “too old” for him and he hates that she’s older than his younger daughter Amelie. Truth is, she doesn’t want to be his mistress: she wants to marry him and has literally wanted to marry him ever since his wife died! Armand has always ignored her pleas for him to marry her but she’s still in his life for one reason: she said she’d give him a kidney if he’d marry her. Armand has considered that, seeing as she is the first eligible person to outwardly say they’d donate, but hasn’t agreed - in fact if anyone else with a match agrees to donate, Armand would likely cut Janelle out of his life as she’s “not needed” and he didn’t want a new wife. Janelle is determined however and some find her crazy.

Even though Armand isn’t in love with her, they have slept together, for one night only when she was 25 and he was 60. This may have produced a son but whether Armand or Janelle’s literal husband was the father was never known and Janelle refused to let either take a paternity test. Her son Laurent Michel Bouvier (12 September 1992 - 2 September 2017, aged 24, pictured behind her) lived his life trying to not make either suspected father mad at him. Laurent and Janelle’s ex-husband hardly knew each other as the latter fled to Corsica and refused to come back and care for Laurent unless Janelle proved Laurent was his own son. Laurent secretly hoped Janelle’s ex-husband was his true father despite him leaving and felt a bad feeling about Armand. Audrey and Dominic (then known as Dominique) got along with Laurent but their father, Sophie’s husband and Janelle’s brother, hated him. He hated that Laurent was rebellious and wouldn’t “respect his elders” without reason. He also blamed Laurent for possibly being a child out of wedlock despite Laurent having no choice in the decision and nobody knowing who his father really was. Because Laurent was an adult and Audrey & Dominic were juveniles at the time, he even went as far as accusing Laurent of being a “predatory man”. “What are you talking about? I’m not trying to harm them; I’m their cousin!” Laurent said but it didn’t convince him, after all Laurent was “a thorn in his precious conservative rosebush”. Janelle had always apologised to her brother on Laurent’s behalf about his “horribly defiant behavior” and said she’d “do something about him.” Although Laurent wasn’t unprofessional, he worked as a news reporter, his uncle still hated him as he felt the station he worked for was “too liberal” (it wasn’t) and always questioned who would hire him with his “long ugly hippie hair”.

Armand had a dinner party at the dining room of his mansion; where Janelle, Sophie and her husband, Laurent, and other mistresses attended. Janelle had no idea Laurent was invited to this party and pleaded with him not to ruin her potential chance at marrying Armand. However Janelle was somewhat glad Laurent was there because he was single and closer to the mistresses’ ages and felt he could distract them away from them flirting with Armand. Laurent was invited because Armand figured he could make a news story about his perfume but deep down Laurent wasn’t there to make a perfume news story — he didn’t find it newsworthy, and wasn’t there to hurt or help Janelle’s wishes to marry Armand — he didn’t think Armand would marry her anyway. He was there for an odd but important reason; he wanted to know if Armand was his father and brought a paternity test to prove or disprove it. He thought of sneaky ways to try to collect Armand’s saliva for it but decided this wouldn’t work and had a better idea - he’d tell Armand that there was a virus spreading and he needs to be tested since he works for a big company environment. Of course there were no huge pandemics in 2017 and if Laurent wasn’t a news reporter, then Armand might have assumed Laurent was trying to test him for STDs for all those affairs which would still look suspicious. But Armand was always busy and never available to be tested. One minute he was eating dinner, the next minute he was drinking wine, then he’d be avoiding Janelle’s flirts, then he’d be dancing, then he’d be collecting money. Most of the guests, including Sophie but not her husband, had left after dinner so Laurent felt it was his time to make a move to test Armand. He went up the master staircase to find Armand but then walked away from the rooms when he realised Armand was busy having another affair with a mistress. He decided to get away from that but to the horror an hour later, he was found dead at the bottom of the master staircase with a number of head injuries, fractures, and bruises he sustained on the way down. Even Armand had shock for Laurent and genuinely wondered how no one else heard him fall and no one else noticed he had been laying there for an hour. At that point, nobody else was at the party and they had all gone home, with Armand having no knowledge whether they came home before or after the death. No drugs or alcohol were in Laurent’s system at the time of his death. Police had investigated Armand and the mistress but had confirmed they were in bed at the time of Laurent’s death and were not behind it, ruling his death an accident. Still, some found it suspicious that it was just a simple dinner party but Laurent never made it out of the party alive. He was 24, 10 days before turning 25. Janelle talked about how she missed Laurent and she attended his funeral alongside Sophie and her husband, Sophie’s twins, and fellow family and friends, alongside both Armand and Janelle’s ex-husband despite no one knowing who was actually Laurent’s father. The Boisclairs also attended and while Henri didn’t go to the funeral, before the funeral he said, “Laurent’s death isn’t tragic. He just fell recklessly because he’s inept and caused his own death,“ not realising he’d end up dying 4 months later on his own 75th birthday. What caught some people’s eyes was that Laurent‘s hair was cut short when he was laying in the casket even though Armand had said it was long when he died.

While Janelle and Sophie bonded in the past, they’re now farther apart. Janelle has comforted Sophie from her past abuse and Sophie comforted Janelle over her son’s sudden death. However Sophie couldn’t get past Janelle’s grieving of her brother, even though Janelle was her sister-in-law. Sophie’s late husband was a scoundrel and only brought up bad memories of him and also of her father. She thought Janelle’s brother was a horrible person and despised that Janelle grieved him more than she ever grieved Laurent. Sophie never tells this to Janelle nor does she discuss her other belief - she thinks Laurent’s death wasn’t an accident. In fact, Sophie thinks her late husband killed his nephew. She claims it’s suspicious that his body was left there for an hour and it’s obvious he cut Laurent’s hair at the funeral because he hated it long and wanted to do him one last disservice. He hated everything about Laurent, was hurtful and cruel, and knew Laurent was very factual and could use his intelligence to thwart and expose him. He may have had a sick idea to kill him off so his twins wouldn’t contact him, his sister would stay conservative for him, and he would finally be able to use his wrath on someone without directly looking like it was a murder. Sophie also has an alternate theory and is afraid to look into it: she thinks Janelle could have been the one to murder her own son. Janelle may have not wanted Laurent to find out the truth of his paternity because she didn’t want to ruin her idea to marry Armand and she also hated that her brother was resenting her because of her son, so she killed him to make her brother happy. Both of them have been rumoured to have murdered Laurent but the two always defended each other and said they left the party before Laurent died and insist it was an accident. Sophie says if her late husband pushed his nephew down the stairs, it would be better that he was dead since he took a life. If it was Janelle who killed her son, it would be harder to swallow but it would at least mean there was an opportunity to punish her. Even after her brother died, Janelle still defends him and herself. Even some of the other families on the street have pleaded with the Paris police to reopen the case.

[name_f]Manon[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f] Pelletier (56) is the older sister of [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_m]Bouvier[/name_m]- she knows [name_f]Janelle[/name_f], but doesn’t particularly like her as she isn’t a very nice person. Like her little sister, Manon’s childhood was a living hell and she suffered from severe depression her entire life, even falling into a drinking problem in her later years. [name_f]Manon[/name_f] saw it as selfish to bring a child into this broken world, so she never gave birth to biological children- however she did adopt, a daughter who is now in her 20s. The two are thicker than thieves and [name_f]Manon[/name_f] refers to her daughter as ‘her little mini me,’ which both think is adorable. When [name_f]Manon[/name_f] adopted her daughter, she was in the darkest time of her life and was looking for comfort and joy in her life, and she figured a little girl would work perfectly as everybody with children seemed so happy- however she didn’t want to carry down her father’s bloodline.

[name_f]Manon[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] have a strained relationship and very different worldviews- [name_f]Manon[/name_f] believes that the incident at the party wasn’t Sophie’s fault- or her clothes’. She believes it was entirely Janelle’s brothers’ fault and she hates him for his actions against her little sister, despite not respecting [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] at all she still believes she didn’t deserve the incident as nobody does deserve that. She does not like [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] either- she finds her obsession with [name_m]Armand[/name_m] unsettling and hopes [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] can get help for her issues before trying to marry an old man who also needs help, as much as [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] does. She wants [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] to quit her job, but she doesn’t know about the stealing situation. [name_f]Manon[/name_f] is proud of both her sister’s children for both being equally brave- she loved living with them and it made her wish she could have adopted more children.

[name_f]Manon[/name_f] did have an affair with Sophie’s husband, but it was not as it seemed- he threatened to hurt [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] or [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] (then known as Dominique) if she didn’t “do him a favor.” So, she slept with him in exchange for him not hurting any other family members, though she hates him and afterwards told him how terrible the experience was. To quote [name_f]Manon[/name_f]- Wow, you’re terrible at that. I feel bad for poor [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. He was infuriated- good thing [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] caught the two and sent [name_f]Manon[/name_f] away because he would’ve gotten even more violent with her if she didn’t comply. [name_f]Manon[/name_f] had a taste of what [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] had endured and encouraged her to leave the relationship, but [name_f]Manon[/name_f] never told [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] specifically why, and she responded why, so you can get with my husband again? You brought that upon yourself, [name_f]Manon[/name_f], you seduced him. [name_f]Manon[/name_f] was very angered by this. If she knew [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] was in a similar gaslighting situation she’d beat [name_m]Armand[/name_m] to a bloody pulp.

[name_f]Manon[/name_f] knows about the situation with [name_m]Laurent[/name_m]- she knew Janelle’s ex husband and thought he was a half decent guy, though she couldn’t help pitying him for how [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] and her brother treated him. Janelle’s brother and ex husband were good friends, but the friendship ended when her husband left for [name_f]Corsica[/name_f] and settled the divorce papers. [name_f]Manon[/name_f] maintained a friendship with him, as he remarried in [name_f]Corsica[/name_f] and one of his daughters (Laurent’s half sister) works for the same modeling agency as [name_f]Manon[/name_f] does.

[name_f]Manon[/name_f] is really grateful that she got sent to juvenile detention and got placed into the system, though it took an emotional toll on her and hurt her a lot. Her new family was nice, and she even had a baby brother who she still loves and thinks of as a brother, but she missed [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] more than anything. Regardless, [name_f]Manon[/name_f] would’ve moved to [name_u]Paris[/name_u] anyways- she loves the scenery, the culture and most of all, the modeling and beauty industry- though she and other models are working to change the standards of beauty. [name_f]Manon[/name_f] still has scars from her past endeavors with her father, as he’s take out a lot of his anger on her, and she’s surprised the modeling agency even took her in- but soon she recognized how important her unique beauty was and learned to flaunt it.

[name_u]Antoine[/name_u] [name_m]Emile[/name_m] [name_f]Balou[/name_f] (54) is Manon’s friend from [name_f]Corsica[/name_f] and Janelle’s ex-husband. He also happens to be an uncle of [name_f]Emeline[/name_f], which inspires him to be less conservative, even though he wishes her parents didn’t wait to tell her she was adopted, which [name_f]Manon[/name_f] did a much better job with telling her daughter than Emeline’s parents ever did. [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] has hardly seen Janelle’s late brother since his divorce from [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] but despises the way he treats everyone and believes he is too conservative to the point of being ignorant. He’s surprised he even became friends with him in the first place and is glad he doesn’t have to see him anymore. He is happy to be with a true classy wife who loves him and is honest with him and they have children together. One of his daughters, in her 20s, is a model and close with Manon’s daughter and with [name_f]Emeline[/name_f]. He doesn’t want to have ill will towards [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] but hates that all she’s focusing on is trying to marry [name_m]Armand[/name_m] and finds it disgusting that she’s wanted this as soon as Armand’s wife died. [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] is also trying to be great friends with [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] but isn’t a very good friend due to her constant defence of her late brother, who was horrible to [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and used [name_f]Manon[/name_f]. He feels [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] is making herself worse with her bad habits but [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] insists she’s just “moving on”; even if it means anyone who isn’t [name_m]Armand[/name_m], [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], or her late brother never existed.

He is also Laurent’s true father and secretly found this out after he died but before the funeral. He admits he regrets cutting [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] out of his life for not knowing whether he or [name_m]Armand[/name_m] was his father, but [name_f]Manon[/name_f] reassures him that it wasn’t his fault. [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] was a cheater and shouldn’t have refused Antoine’s request for a paternity test when their son was born. [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] exposed herself as a cheater and deserved to lose [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] as a husband. Deep down [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] did always wish [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] the best even if he didn’t want to be in his life without proof of paternity. He feels truly horrible knowing that [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] had died and they never had a true father-son relationship with each other and blames [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] for depriving him of that. In addition, his other children never knew their half-brother. He does feel better after [name_f]Manon[/name_f] told him that [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] always respected [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] and hoped he was his father — even though [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] spitefully warned her not to tell [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] that. [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] is afraid to know what really caused Laurent’s death that fatal evening and wouldn’t know how to respond if the death was covered-up foul play. [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] always reminded people that the case is closed and will stay closed and insists that the murder theories are lies. The only time he’s talked to [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] anything about the theories was when he asked whether she’d still support her late brother if he truly did push [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] down the master staircase. [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] refused to respond.

[name_u]Antoine[/name_u] originally left [name_u]Paris[/name_u] for the [name_u]French[/name_u] island of [name_f]Corsica[/name_f] to get away from [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] but soon just simply learned to love it for its beauty. This is where he met his beautiful wife and had nice children. He hasn’t forgotten [name_u]Paris[/name_u] and has bonded closer with [name_f]Manon[/name_f] even though he felt shy about befriending her given his past with an awful wife and former friendship with her terrible brother. [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] knows Janelle’s brother took advantage of [name_f]Manon[/name_f] and admires Manon’s fierce and brave energy. His wife and children get along with her as well. Antoine’s model daughter lives in [name_u]Paris[/name_u] and [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] still goes there to visit her and his friends and his daughter is bonding even closer with [name_f]Manon[/name_f].

[name_f]Annabella[/name_f] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] [name_f]Balou[/name_f] [Del Luca] (50) is the wife of [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] [name_f]Balou[/name_f], who knows about [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] and all her questionable actions. She wishes [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] could be more normal and stop simping for an 89-year-old man, who obviously doesn’t reciprocate her feelings. She’s just glad that [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] didn’t have to stay with [name_f]Janelle[/name_f]. Annabella’s children weren’t too close with [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] as they didn’t even know if he was their half brother, and while she’s glad it gave [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] a reason to leave she does wish he had gotten to know if it was his child, as the thought of leaving behind his possible son haunts [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] to this day, even though [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] is long dead- he feels like he made the wrong decision sometimes as [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] deserved a father figure who wasn’t a crusty old man like [name_m]Armand[/name_m]. [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] and [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] both equally hate Janelle’s messed up brother. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] wasn’t his kid, [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] still hates that Janelle’s brother commented on his “long, ugly hippie hair,” and wishes he could’ve stood up for him.

[name_f]Annabella[/name_f] is trying to reassure him that he’s okay, and he didn’t do anything wrong- that [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] was likely to be Armand’s. [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] still feels guilty for it, but [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] knows he did nothing wrong. While [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] loves [name_f]Corsica[/name_f] she still loves to visit [name_u]Paris[/name_u]- and her hometown of Cagliari, in [name_f]Sardegna[/name_f], [name_f]Italy[/name_f]. She grew up in [name_f]Italy[/name_f] with her parents and three brothers before moving to [name_u]France[/name_u] on a modeling contract. [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] has always loved modeling and cosmetology- when she was younger she always longed for a sister to do makeup on but remarked that she got stuck with three lousy brothers. Of course, she loves them now and often takes trips to Cagliari to visit them. [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] moved to [name_f]Corsica[/name_f] when she was in her late 20s so she could be closer to her family but still live in [name_u]France[/name_u], which she adored.

That’s when she met [name_u]Antoine[/name_u]- he was charming, divorced, and everything she was looking for. [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] still does occasional modeling gigs but she’s mostly retired, working as an intern for a large company to earn a bit of extra cash. [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] has three daughters- the oldest is 20 and the youngest is turning 16 soon. She wishes they all would’ve met [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] and spent more time with their possible brother. [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] would’ve gladly accepted [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] into her household even if he was fathered by [name_m]Armand[/name_m]. She wishes she would’ve had more children but she’s fine with three, as she feels it’s the perfect number. She loves visiting her daughter in [name_u]Paris[/name_u]- she reminds her so much of herself when she was younger and new to the modeling world, so wholesome and unsure of what role she wanted to play- Annabella’s family wasn’t all the supportive of her modeling and wanted her to go into a more “stable” profession, like being a doctor or a lawyer. Thankfully, she managed to reason with them. [name_m]Even[/name_m] years after her retirement, [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] [name_u]Del[/name_u] [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is still a well-known name in the industry.

[name_f]Annabella[/name_f] adores [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] and thinks she’s the kindest- she does wish her friends [name_u]Coco[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] would’ve had a better upbringing. The last time [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] saw [name_u]Coco[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] was when they were 10, and she also met [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] (who was then known as Dominique). She thought he was very outspoken and she admired that about him, wishing she would’ve been more bold as a child and not let her parents push her around (despite how much she loves them). She’s tried to not ever hurt her daughters or rub them the wrong way, and she’s done a pretty good job at raising them- all three of them are respectable young women. However, her 18-year-old daughter is leaving for the University of [name_f]Corsica[/name_f] and she is trying desperately to hold onto her and failing, and she’s really hurt because deep down she knows her daughter is excited to leave…

[name_f]Camile[/name_f] [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] [name_f]Balou[/name_f] (18) is the middle child of [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] and [name_u]Antoine[/name_u]. She can’t wait until she’s headed to the University of [name_f]Corsica[/name_f] and reassures her mother that she will stay close to her family. [name_f]Camile[/name_f] has been close with her family and stays close so there’s no reason why that would change. She is close with her paternal cousin [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] likes to visit the family. She’s nice and always puts people in a good mood and she says she’s in a better mood since she’s leaving Labossiere Perfumes in less than two weeks. [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] has told [name_f]Emeline[/name_f], “I will marry [name_m]Armand[/name_m]. Nobody can get rid of me. I get rid of them, and I have done it before, you don’t want to know how.” [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] just laughed at the remark, “This is about me isn’t it? [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] you did not get me fired, I am leaving on my own terms. You couldn’t get rid of anyone if you tried.” [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] avoids drama with [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] when she can, but when she can’t, then she likes to laugh it off. [name_f]Camile[/name_f] is also the type to laugh off drama and she won’t care what college drama happens. [name_f]Camile[/name_f] disdains [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] and doesn’t know RB (Which is short for REDACTED [name_m]Bouvier[/name_m], nobody knows where the nickname started but it was started more so people wouldn’t have to say his name as he did cause a lot of pain to the family), the brother of [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] but hates everything she knows about him.

[name_f]Camile[/name_f] knows her mother will miss her, [name_f]Camile[/name_f] sees this as inevitable. However she knows her parents raised her right and she won’t change. While she loves the modeling of her mother [name_f]Annabella[/name_f], older sister, and cousin Emeline; [name_u]Camille[/name_u] isn’t sure if this is her path and has considered something more practical but hasn’t ruled out modeling and is proud of her family’s success and determination. While she is a very organised young lady, she knows her life was almost like Audrey’s: [name_f]Camile[/name_f] loved money. She used to party a lot. [name_f]Camile[/name_f] wanted to work for Labossiere Perfumes but [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] convinced her not to because the female employees usually became mistresses once they turned 18. She hasn’t seen [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] since she was 9 but she’d be shocked by the similarities of their teenage years. Personally she would be a great friend to [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] if she knew. Sometimes [name_f]Camile[/name_f] feels life goes by quickly and she still wants to meet up with people and have more hangouts with her sisters as well.

[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] “ Chesca “ [name_f]Balou[/name_f] (15) is the daughter of [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] and [name_u]Antoine[/name_u], and the little sister of [name_f]Camile[/name_f] and a model who lives in [name_u]Paris[/name_u]. Chesca loves to visit [name_u]Paris[/name_u], but she also appreciates Corsica’s tropical scenery. Like her big sister [name_f]Camile[/name_f], Chesca’s always been somewhat of a nerd and she’s learned to appreciate [name_f]Corsica[/name_f] for its quirks, often studying up on its history. Chesca idolizes [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] and thinks it’s so cool that she has a connection to her despite it being a not so nice connection. She wants to meet [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] Boisclair in person someday, as she too loves [name_m]Maximilien[/name_m] Robespierre and his theories- though she doesn’t have the same kind of odd fatherly attachement to him that [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] did at her age. Unlike [name_m]Armand[/name_m], [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] and [name_u]Antoine[/name_u] foster her passions and nurture them, hoping that she will get big in whatever she chooses to do. Chesca has dabbled in the modeling industry and likes it, but it isn’t quite “her thing” though she would love to do it on the side when she grows up.

Chesca’s on the debate team for her school district, which competes against other districts in tournaments- and Chesca is really good at persuading people. She’s not the most popular in school but she has her small group of friends, a mix of girls and boys, and that’s alright with her. She’s got her eye on one friend of hers, who’s seemed to get cuter over the summer, and she has told both of her siblings about it, which led to two different reactions- [name_f]Camile[/name_f] told her to simply enjoy her childhood and not focus on that kind of stuff and her other sister egged her on, trying to get her to talk about all the crush drama. Chesca loves both her siblings but thinks they can be a bit much when it comes to her personal life and sometimes wishes they’d sit down and listen to her without being chaotic.

Chesca knows about her mother’s modeling work in [name_u]Paris[/name_u] and thinks it’s so cool that she reached that level of popularity. She’s been to Cagliari on the island of [name_f]Sardegna[/name_f] which is situated south of [name_f]Corsica[/name_f]. She enjoys celebrating Italian holidays along with [name_u]French[/name_u] ones, as it means double the presents for certain holidays. Her friends all think this is pretty neat too- a lot of her friends are on that same debate team with her including the certain someone she likes, and her whole family is urging her to make a move, and Chesca wants to desperately. The only problem is that she always gets so nervous around them….

Delphine " Delphi " Gianna Balou (20) is the eldest daughter of Antoine and Annabella, and a literature student studying at the same university Camile is soon to attend. The most outspoken and direct sister, Delphi is likewise close with Emeline - who she hero-worshipped growing up - and has nothing but insults for Armand, who’s behaviour she finds fairly repulsive and borderline predatory, in how he primarily seems interested in younger women. She’s got a bit of a protective side to her because of what she knows happened with Emeline, and can give her sisters advise they didn’t exactly ask for unprompted, but Delphi never oversteps boundaries and will always listen to them in turn - granted she thinks Chesca’s crush is adorable and absolutely has insisted upon sharing her thoughts regarding the situation. It partly stems from how Delphi almost didn’t end up with her girlfriend because she was worried about rejection - ruining their bond regarding medieval poetry in the process, and who else could she be pretentious with? - and doesn’t want to see her little sister loose out on happiness.

Aside from writing - be it essays, sonnets, short stories or flash fiction - Delphi shares her mother’s interest in fashion and is an avid thrifter, who can be seen on her moped travelling about sales and shops to populate her wardrobe. She shares a small apartment with one of her close friends, who she met at uni, and visits home at spotty intervals: sometimes you can’t get rid of her then she’ll vanish somewhere under a mountain of work and social plans. What she is intent on is steering clear of drama but this has taken a turn after Delphi finally was told about her paternal half-brother Laurent, who tragically lost his life, and this knowledge has awakened a desire in her to uncover the truth regarding his death. She knows this isn’t an ideal situation and really doesn’t want anything to do with Janelle, of all people, but Delphi strongly feels justice must be served for the sibling she never had a chance to know and wants to - at the very least - get a clear picture of the person Laurent was. What does scare her is the reality she might be getting into something much more insidious than a tragic accident…

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Nanette[/name_f] [left] and [name_f]Cerie[/name_f] [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] [right] [name_m]Benoit[/name_m] (20) are twin sisters, with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] being Delphi’s uni friend and [name_f]Cerie[/name_f] being Delphi’s girlfriend. [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] was afraid to ask out her Uni friend’s twin but [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], with a knack of knowing who likes who, helped the two get together. [name_f]Cerie[/name_f] is also a lover of medieval poetry and loves [name_m]Maximilien[/name_m] Robespierre, to Chesca’s delight. Deep down, [name_f]Cerie[/name_f] wants to have a double date with her and [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] alongside Chesca and her crush, but knows Chesca is too nervous at the moment and [name_f]Cerie[/name_f] doenst want to rush anything there. [name_f]Cerie[/name_f] has been on a double date before, with her and [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] alongside [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and her boyfriend, so double dates aren’t awkward and quite fun for her.

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] love sharing their apartment together and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] loves decorating it. She’s planning on being an interior designer and loves a good juxtaposition between modern design and classic European architecture. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] also loves shopping and loves being frugal: some people think she’s super “cheap” but the low-priced items she buys are high quality. She’s been frugal since she was 8 and she wanted to buy stuff with her allowance but also save her money. Alongside she and [name_f]Cerie[/name_f], they have an older sister living in [name_u]Paris[/name_u] who was a co-worker and buddy of [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] [name_m]Bouvier[/name_m] before he died. She liked that he always tried what he could to make his cousins happy and never insulted his mother despite making it clear he knew [name_m]Armand[/name_m] wouldn’t marry her. She still is a news reporter and loves her job and gets along with many of her co-workers. [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] was a chill individual but was quiet to his uncle RB and often avoided him. RB hated him and perceived him as an “annoying millennial” at best but despised the thought of his children being like him. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] was straight and masculine, he loved geraniums and always had them outside his house, which RB found “disgusting”. Ironically, many family members and friends support it and put geraniums on Laurent’s grave. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though the two were enemies, they’re buried next to each other. [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] was the one who decided this arrangement and some people think she did this to make it seem like there wasn’t a suspicious rivalry between the two and [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] herself. [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] insists, “I figured I should do a favour out of respect to the two people I love most,” as her reasoning despite knowing neither would want this. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Cerie[/name_f] don’t really know [name_f]Janelle[/name_f], [name_m]Laurent[/name_m], or RB but [name_f]Cerie[/name_f] also loves geraniums and her older sister always smiles over this, knowing it reminded her of her late pal. She hasn’t told her younger twin sisters what her stance is on whether his death was accidental.

A hobby both twins enjoy is beach camping and glamping and the two have trips every summer. They love singing camp songs and telling fun stories. Sometimes they get their grandmother in on the fun as she is a self-proclaimed “campfire queen” not just with songs & stories, but also s’mores. They’re planning on taking [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] to one too, they hope she loves the atmosphere.

[name_u]Florian[/name_u] [name_u]Max[/name_u] Auclair (20) is the boyfriend of [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_m]Benoit[/name_m], and he loves her so much he plans to marry her once they finish university. He has never felt so in love with someone before, and he tells his girlfriend this all the time, hoping she’ll realize just how beautiful she is. [name_u]Florian[/name_u] is also studying at the same university, and he knows about [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] and [name_f]Cerie[/name_f], as they went on a double date- he thought they were so sweet and wishes them all the happiness. Everyone in the [name_m]Benoit[/name_m] family loves [name_u]Florian[/name_u] and thinks he’s a total sweetheart, which is true. [name_u]Florian[/name_u] has cried over puppy video compilations- he’s a total dog person, and he thinks they’re wonderful and wants to get one with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] some day, when they’re more financially stable.

Ironically, Florian’s own mother was once a mistress for [name_m]Armand[/name_m]- but she’s confident that [name_u]Florian[/name_u] is the child of her and her father, even though both said a paternity test isn’t necessary because he’s their son regardless and they will love him the same. [name_u]Florian[/name_u] has heard about [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] and thinks it’s creepy that he could have a half sibling who’s related to his girlfriend’s twin’s girlfriend. But [name_u]Florian[/name_u] tries to ignore the odd coincidence and continue on with his life. [name_u]Florian[/name_u] loves doing anything as long as it’s with his girlfriend- his friends jokingly refer to him as a simp but [name_u]Florian[/name_u] really doesn’t care about what they say. He thinks being nice to women is a good thing and the term simp shouldn’t have even been invented. Apart from these friends, [name_u]Florian[/name_u] has two others who are very nice and he loves them to death. But to Florian’s surprise, the two might be dating….and [name_u]Florian[/name_u] is sad because he wanted everything to stay the way it was forever, but nothing really does.

Alvario " Alva " Víctor Gonzalez-Lemont (20) is a friend of Florian. He is Coco’s older brother but not first-born. He originally went to Corsica just for university but made lots of friends and found love. He is currently stuck between going back to Paris or staying in Corsica. He likes being able to not have to share a room with his siblings but still misses them. He’s close with Coco and supports her boyfriend Dominic. He can’t help but wonder how much different Audrey’s life would be if she hadn’t been caught stealing the jewelry. He has a feeling Armand put cameras in his mansion after the 2017 death of Laurent Bouvier and despite not feeling good about Armand, he doesn’t blame him. But he still can’t help wondering if Audrey would be in a much better place without the circumstances she was placed in. For a while, he didn’t like Sophie Bouvier and still admits he feels uncomfortable with her but is slowly respecting her, however he likes living away from the drama. He’s madly in love but not sure how choosing to stay or go will change their relationship and is staying for the moment. Also if he goes, it will make Florian more sad because they are close. But he always said that he’d never stay away from family and doesn’t want to break that promise. He doesn’t understand Florian’s disinterest in his relationship and wants to do double dates as well, but doesn’t want it awkward for Florian.

[name_f]Immaculada[/name_f] [name_m]Encarnacion[/name_m] [name_u]Maria[/name_u] “ [name_f]Immy[/name_f] “ Gonzalez-Lemont (21) is [name_u]Alva[/name_u] and Coco’s big sister- seeing as [name_u]Coco[/name_u] was the only other girl in the family, the two bonded from an early age. Like [name_u]Coco[/name_u], [name_f]Immy[/name_f] also hated the long dresses and skirts her family forced onto her, and what she hated even more was that her brothers got to wear suitable summer clothes such as t shirts and shorts- because a little girl’s shoulders are sexier than a boy’s. However she never ever held a grudge against [name_u]Alva[/name_u] or her other brothers for this, only spent a few years wishing she could wear the same sort of clothes. While the Gonzales-Lemont parents are strict they’re nowhere near as bad as the Bouviers, who [name_f]Immy[/name_f] knows are really messed up. [name_f]Immy[/name_f] is glad she was raised in her home as chaotic as it was, as it built character for her. (Or at least in her eyes).

[name_f]Immy[/name_f] has always been passionate about the environment and attended a protest when she was 9 to save a nearby forest preserve- her family told her it was dangerous, though there was no danger of being attacked. Immy’ sa parents wish she were a bit less of a firey person, but they don’t gaslight and emotionally manipulate her which she’s so grateful l- she’s heard the horror stories about [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_m]Bouvier[/name_m] from [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] and she cringed whenever she has to listen to those. [name_f]Immy[/name_f] is still a [name_u]Christian[/name_u] as that’s how her parents raised her, though she’s not at all racist or homophobic and tries her best to be understanding of everyone she meets.

Immy’s love of nature has gotten her somewhere- she’s now studying biochemistry, and wants to be a bio scientist when she gets her degree. [name_f]Immy[/name_f] always brought home straight A report cards, and her parents glorified her success to the point where she felt like a letter grade defined her entire worth. However she’s now finding her own worth. She decided to study abroad in [name_f]Barcelona[/name_f], Spain for a semester to explore her culture and then met someone- a person in her class who went from a crush to a partner. Like [name_u]Coco[/name_u], [name_f]Immy[/name_f] is pan and has no gender preference which both of their parents struggled to come to terms with but later on became fine with it as it’s their daughters, and they love them either way. Immy’s partner lives in [name_f]Barcelona[/name_f], and maintaining a cross-country relationship is hard, but [name_f]Immy[/name_f] is determined to make it work as she really loves this person and is determined to marry them someday. <3

[name_f]Marisol[/name_f] “ [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] “ [name_f]Luna[/name_f] Gonzalez (54) is Immy’s maternal aunt and the main supporter of the Gonzalez-Lemont children, not being strict at all. She is Barcelona-based but has done some business work in [name_u]France[/name_u]. She’s become popular lately due to her daughter, who is famous on social media, making a video in Spain about her products alongside [name_f]Emeline[/name_f], who made a video of the products in [name_u]France[/name_u]. What does she sell? Perfume! She has her own perfume company called Godmother Perfume headquartered in [name_f]Barcelona[/name_f] and is working on a new headquarters in [name_u]Paris[/name_u] as well. [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] is about to start a new job there and thinks [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] can benefit from working there too as the environment is not creepy and pays better. After that viral video, more people have wanted to work for Godmother Perfume. [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] isn’t trying to be a business tycoon and has been relatively popular in Spain but has been harder to build up in [name_u]France[/name_u], so she thanks her daughter immensely. Her business is also pro-environment and never uses harsh chemicals to harm the environment, inspired by a call to action by [name_f]Immy[/name_f].

[name_f]Maisy[/name_f] loves [name_u]France[/name_u] and is a dual Spanish-French citizen but she’s likely going to remain in Spain for the majority of her life. She does feel like her sister is too strict on her children, specifically the females. She believes women shouldn’t have to be either too conservative or too provocative and encourages them to just be themselves. She’s still close with the men and supports her nephews as well. One of the first [name_u]French[/name_u] men to find out about her business was [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] [name_m]Bouvier[/name_m], who did a report on her in early 2017 because he believed she could be successful in [name_u]France[/name_u] one day and truthfully, he liked her company so much better than that other one and believed she deserved credit. Unfortunately that did lead to a big rift between [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] and [name_f]Janelle[/name_f], the latter accusing the former of “betraying her by promoting a rival and grossly sabotaging her chance at marriage” and called him demanding he speak to her in person for what he did. [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] refused, stating he was a real supporter of [name_f]Maisy[/name_f], not a saboteur and he didn’t care if she didn’t like it. This made [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] more spiteful of [name_m]Laurent[/name_m], at first she used to support both [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] and RB but often apologised for the former but since then, she never took Laurent’s side. [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] doesn’t know [name_f]Janelle[/name_f] at all and doesn’t even know [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] is dead, so she doesn’t have a stance on the matter, but says she really supported being promoted on TV that time. One of her favourite men in [name_u]France[/name_u] she’s been influenced by is [name_m]Dominic[/name_m], who is Coco’s boyfriend and she’s proud of his bravery to come out despite his circumstances. [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] is also a [name_m]Maximilien[/name_m] Robespierre fan as well.

Maisy’s daughter currently lives in [name_f]Barcelona[/name_f] and while she’s an influencer, she still helps out with her mother’s business and is considering starting her own business, which [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] supports. [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] is highly feminist and refuses to listen to anyone who says women in business can’t be successful. Maisy’s daughter, who is Immy’s cousin, helped [name_f]Immy[/name_f] enjoy her time in [name_f]Barcelona[/name_f] and her Spanish roots and helped [name_f]Immy[/name_f] find her partner. [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] relates to this as her daughter is always pansexual, which [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] has always openly supported. She’s close with her nieces and nephews and likes to help them out when things are down, alongside supporting them when things are great. [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] has two cats named [name_u]Rio[/name_u] and [name_u]Sol[/name_u]. Despite being 54 and a single mother, she’s recently found love with a woman. This is the first female she’s ever dated and [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] thought she only liked men but is completely open to this true love with the woman she’s with. She’s questioned her sexuality but she’s always been supportive of the community, so they’re mutually supportive of her.
