tw: references to criminal activity
[name_f]Florentia[/name_f] " [name_u]Remi[/name_u] " [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] Pellegrini (19) - currently going by the alias [name_u]Remi[/name_u] DeNucci - is Salvino’s estranged daughter, the one time romantic interest of [name_m]Paul[/name_m] and centre of the manhunt that’s causing dramatic retaliation plans from her father. This absolutely isn’t what [name_u]Remi[/name_u] wanted when she left, but part of her struggles to let go of hope, that at the very least [name_m]Salvino[/name_m] will tire of her and let her fade into obscurity. Now she’s had time to reflect, Remi’s recognised his displays of affection were solely based around materialistic gestures: buying love is what he’s comfortable with and accomplished in - after all, didn’t it work with Remi’s mother?
Childhood was idyllic for [name_u]Remi[/name_u] ironically. She believed her world was charmed, without a single flaw or issue, even if her parents weren’t the warmest people. This was dependent on her ignorance though, something [name_m]Salvino[/name_m] worked hard to assure, often in tandem with her mother. They’d agreed early into their relationship to only have one child together, so when [name_u]Remi[/name_u] was welcomed into the world, keeping a hold of her became a new obsession of Salvinos’, resulting in his current desire to find her, regardless of whether she likes or even tolerates him: control is paramount.
Life away from her family has been a huge culture shock to [name_u]Remi[/name_u], but she’ll take anything over returning to the despicable world [name_m]Salvino[/name_m] rules over. Since getting in contact with the FBI she’s been living in safe accommodation and is working mostly from home for a local clothing retailer. It’s the isolation that’s the hardest for [name_u]Remi[/name_u] to handle, however the fear of being dragged back to such a place is something she can’t imagine [although it plagues her nightmares on occasion].
More recently, Remi’s considered reaching out to [name_m]Paul[/name_m] for help again, however given what he was dragged into last time she can’t bear the idea of anyone dying because of her presence, so keeping distance has become paramount. She’s aware Paul’s now in a new relationship, and this is another reason she’s hesitant about speaking with him again, as obviously she won’t be someone [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] would naturally feel comfortable having around. The danger of her father is something she knows [name_m]Paul[/name_m] and his father need to be aware of though…so perhaps Mr. [name_m]Roberts[/name_m] is the person she’ll reach out to, in spite of her affection for the boy she helped save.
