Sergio “ Sero “ Pedro Salinas (42) is adjacent to the Sumi, Corner, and Vest clan, even if he doesn’t live in Minneapolis. He’s let Elliott know that if he wants to move, Denver is always welcome for him. Sero himself lives in Denver and has two grown children, Guillermo and Ximena. Sero is single, though by his choice, and is openly gay. Yes, he genuinely loves his bond with his sister Izzy. He just worries she’s changed for the worse since Julen entered her life, even though they divorced years ago. Sero just feels it’s unfair to Estie and Lena to be dragged along all that just for a very predictable ending that should have happened much sooner. Everyone in Sero’s family knew Izzy and Julen would divorce. And truly, they were tired of hearing it. Sero is glad Julen is distanced from Izzy even though the divide was hard to overcome in their daughters, stemming before the divorce actually happened. Sero has an easy job from home, though having to navigate through this family drama on his side was stressful. Sero was the type to always have a lot to worry about but still come off as the type with nothing to worry about.
Sero is impartial to Derek. Sero admittedly doesn’t remember much about him other than their ironically same last name Salinas and the fact that Derek and Emily’s parents died in cruel and devastating ways. He believes Derek was a much better man for Izzy though he understands if their marriage was short and they both moved on. Sero is glad honestly that this divorce didn’t drag out as well, though this was before Izzy had children. Most of the dragged out drama was on Julen’s end after all. Sero is trying his best to get his siblinghood back with Izzy. He’s grateful his children have a good cousin bond with hers. Sero isn’t surprised that Mireia and Julen are no longer together, especially since he secretly doesn’t want Julen to father even more children. Sero has never met Mireia’s late spouse and wouldn’t know how the parenting dynamic was with the two parents and Marina. He feels Marina already has enough worry in her life without Julen having a bigger and longer role in it, and was grateful Mireia didn’t have a distanced and ongoing marriage to him like Izzy did. Núria and Elliott however seem like good and responsible people to him from what he knows.
Sero loves to talk to Helen, finding her a very kind and put-together person. He knows her through Izzy, Helen’s co-worker. Sero is glad Helen’s older son isn’t rushed to be Kiana’s boyfriend or husband, just because he’s Ivy’s father. From Helen, Sero’s learned that forced romance doesn’t make a family or make things happier, and he hopes Izzy will understand that one day. Sero himself enjoys being a single father and isn’t sure if he wants to put a relationship in his life. In the back of Sero’s mind, he’s even glad Priscilla wouldn’t force that from Kiana. Priscilla is far less strict, though she’s been emotionally torn up from living in her conservative community. She’s questioning herself as a mother to Kiana, alongside only just finding out about the death of her Swedish biological son Bjorn (who ironically had a good bond with Ethan Malenhey, Kiana’s good friend, who knows about the metal song per his wishes). Priscilla can get paranoid and ask Helen a lot if Kiana is safe, but respects the Hugers enough not to stalk them or her daughter. Sero has always been on the side of privacy, because he knows there’s many people and many connections that are scrambled and don’t know what to do. He feels lucky his family is seen as “the normal ones”, even if he is a willingly single father, but he can at least see improvement from everyone in some way. While some doors have closed in the name of love, others opened. The door to Ellie’s wedding planning is wide open as Ximena knows, though any chance of her baby-to-be or other relatives filmed online is closed and locked without a key.

She thinks [name_m]Sero[/name_m] reminds her of her own father. She is not active on YouTube but loves posting selfies on Instagram. Doesn’t want to post anyone else without permission though she’s taken several shots of her attire for that wedding. She is an Instagram model trying to make it as a model outside Instagram. She idolizes her brother’s modeling. Her occupation is at a salad bar and she is currently looking for a new car.

There’s no sense in overshadowing [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], and if they were[name_f][/name_f] to start wedding planning, it would likely be pushed back just as much. [name_m]Wyllow[/name_m] doesn’t have children, though his younger sister [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] has a daughter, whom [name_m]Wyllow[/name_m] has helped settle an agreement on how she and [name_m]Rob[/name_m] co-parent her. [name_m]Wyllow[/name_m] has always been headstrong in what’s right, as a student in school, he and many other students protested against school uniforms – and won. He’s very close with his sister, but he knows she married [name_m]Rob[/name_m] too soon, and this was the real reason why they divorced, so he’s glad [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] didn’t make the same mistake, even if it was “for convenience”. Nothing [name_m]Rob[/name_m] said or done would come to that conclusion, so [name_m]Wyllow[/name_m] didn’t want to make him look horribly wrong, even if he wasn’t the one for his sister. [name_f]Eva[/name_f] Yasinta [name_m]Sherman[/name_m] (5) is Wyllows’ niece and Jennifers’ daughter, who absolutely loves seeing her uncle and his girlfriend whenever she can. While she’s still young, [name_f]Eva[/name_f] already is a romantic at heart, and weddings always grab her attention when someone mentions them. One of her best friends recently attended one, which [name_f]Eva[/name_f] admits she was jealous about, leading to her mom joking [name_m]Wyllow[/name_m] and [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] need to hurry up.
