New finds, thoughts?

Stumbled across a few names while playing a name game (I love name games for new names!!)
What do you think of—

[name]Rhya[/name] ([name]Rye[/name]-ah, girl)

[name]Thane[/name] (boy)

[name]Crisanta[/name] (girl)

[name]Mercer[/name] (boy)

[name]Do[/name] you have any new names floating around your radar?

I quite like [name]Thane[/name], but mostly because I think of the character from Mass Effect. <3

Rhya is pretty but Crisanta and Mercer are NMS.

Lately I have been drawn to the names Neith, Etain and Tadeo. Still not sure whether I truly like them or not.

I like [name]Mercer[/name] and [name]Thane[/name]! [name]Thane[/name] kind of falls in with [name]Thorin[/name], Thrain, and Thror from The Hobbit. (: hehe Maybe if [name]Thorin[/name] ever had a son… Hmmm. Well, I’ve recently re-fallen in love with [name]Dante[/name] and [name]Virgil[/name] from DMC and [name]Vincent[/name] from FF7.

I like [name]Thane[/name], too. I have it on my list for a nn for [name]Nathaniel[/name].

[name]Thane[/name] would be a nice nickname for [name]Nathaniel[/name]. I like [name]Mercer[/name] as a middle name. [name]Rhya[/name] and Crisantha, I don’t care for.

I like [name]Rhya[/name], never heard that one before. And I like [name]Mercer[/name] too, never thought of that as a name…makes me think of [name]Mercer[/name] Island in the Seattle area.

I like [name]Mercer[/name] and [name]Thane[/name] a lot, but don’t care for either of the girls’ names. I actually met a little boy named [name]Thane[/name] and it made it wearable for me.

I know a guy named [name]Thayne[/name], but without the Y it reminds me of the thanes from Beowulf… [name]Mercer[/name] isn’t my style, but it has a familiar sound to it…similar to [name]Mason[/name].

[name]Crisanta[/name] and [name]Rhya[/name] don’t do much for me… I like [name]Rhea[/name] better than [name]Rhya[/name]…

I don’t mind them all excpet [name]Chrisanta[/name]- looks like a cross between [name]Christmas[/name] and [name]Santa[/name].

[name]Emilia[/name]

I enjoy [name]Thane[/name] and [name]Mercer[/name], though I’m from Seattle and the first thing I think of is [name]Mercer[/name] Island as someone already pointed out! [name]Rhya[/name] just seems like a nickname for [name]Mariah[/name], neither of which I like at all. And [name]Crisanta[/name] reminds me of [name]Santa[/name], [name]Christmas[/name], and croissant…

[name]Thane[/name] is from the thanes of Beowulf, it’s an Old English word-name. Not that is was a given name in [name]Saxon[/name] times, but borrowed. [name]Mercer[/name] is an occupational surname meaning someone who sells cloth. It has a very nice sound, almost like the Romanian Mircea.

[name]Crisanta[/name] is a Spanish variant of one of my new favorites, Greek Chyrsanthe. I think it’s beautiful. [name]Rhya[/name] is from [name]Rhea[/name], no? It’s nice.

I like the name [name]Thane[/name], although all I can think about is the character from Mass Effect which makes it kind of unusable for an actual child.

I like [name]Mercer[/name] well enough - but I vastly prefer [name]Rhea[/name] to [name]Rhya[/name].

I’ve always liked [name]Thane[/name] and [name]Mercer[/name]! [name]Both[/name] may see some growth in the near future, since [name]Thane[/name] is a crisp, short boy name, and [name]Mercer[/name] is a surname ending in -er. I don’t care for either girl name.

I know a [name]Rhya[/name]. Maybe it’s because she is a lovely and graceful yoga teacher but I think the name is beautiful.

I didn’t want to make a new thread, so I thought I could ask a question that is somewhat similar to this post.

[name]How[/name] can you find the new names that name berry has added to their name base? I learned of [name]Kasiani[/name] from their facebook page, but was wondering if their was somewhere else I could look.

I like [name]Thane[/name] and [name]Mercer[/name], although I doubt I’d ever use them personally. I prefer [name]Rhea[/name] to [name]Rhya[/name].

[name]Crisanta[/name] is pretty if you pronounce it cris-oh-ta instead of cris-an-ta - you may also like Chrysanne

A [name]Thane[/name] is a Scottish title, kind of like a count. Macbeth was the [name]Thane[/name] of Glamis (glahms) originally. I can’t see it as a name.

I have no idea, and it’s a great question, but I wanted to say thank you for letting me know they added this name!
