What do you guys think of [name_u]Lupine[/name_u]? It’s a beautiful purple flower, and also means “pertaining to wolves”. Nickname could be [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]? Is it too out there?
I’ve thought about this one before! I love this flower and it’s purple color. I think it’s interesting & pretty but I think I’d like it better as a middle name
I think it has potential! [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] is a lovely nickname, or even just [name_f]Lu[/name_f]/Lou. I love the flower and the wolf imagery. The only thing holding me back is that its connection to [name_u]Lupin[/name_u] makes it feel a bit masculine.
I don’t think it’s too out there necessarily, but I do immediately think of wolves. If that’s not a problem, I think it’s pretty cool!
This was the name of my best friends pet hedgehog! Immediately made me think of her and had to share
Anyways onto the name itself I think [name_u]Lupine[/name_u] is really sweet spunky choice. Makes a bold statement especially in sound and association with wolves. I think [name_u]Lupine[/name_u] feels whimsical I really like the name.
It’s cute!
Lupine is cute! Quite out there, but I like the nickname [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]! It’s fun and brave.
Hmm, I like it in theory, but it just reminds me of the adjective lupine, so I can’t see it as a name.
I like it! I also like [name_u]Lupin[/name_u] a lot - it’s a neat, botanical, unisex name, but still manages to feel a little more strong and academic than similar names like [name_u]Briar[/name_u] (also lovely!).
Lupine has an elegant and intriguing sound
I love it! I too prefer [name_u]Lupin[/name_u], and prefer it for a boy, but [name_u]Lupine[/name_u] is lovely too.
I think of [name_u]Lupin[/name_u] (from [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m]), hence werewolves. I also kinda think of Lupus. For me, the botanical association is last.
However, I really like [name_u]Lupine[/name_u], it is a bit “out there,” but I actually like that with names. The nickname [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] definitely works!
It’s gorgeous I don’t think it’d be too out there at all, people use [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilac[/name_f] quite often as well.
