Kate, Phryne, Wilhelmina, Rose, Katrina, Rosalie and Mikayla are all honor names. A variant of Katherine has to be in there and I’d love for some variation of Rose, or especially just Rose, in there.

Phryne Wilhelmina Kate honors my nana all around which makes it extremely special to me. Phryne means “toad” and my nana’s nickname is Toad. Her real name is Velma Kay. Velma comes from Wilhelmina and I’ve loved Wilhelmina since I read Dracula at 15. Kate and Kay are both derived from Katherine and we also have 2 other Kays, a Karen, a Kathryn and a Cathryn in the family, so Kate honors lots of people. My sister’s initials were PKW before she was married and Phryne Wilhelmina Kate is close to that. I love that she’d have a name with so many connections while still having her own unique name. It has so much going for it, but Phryne is such an unusual name that it’s giving me pause. If it weren’t for that it would probably be my #1.

[name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is truly delightful - magical and lovely!

[name_f]Melody[/name_f] [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is my second favourite, followed by [name_f]Sylva[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]

I’m intrigued by [name_f]Phryne[/name_f] - it needs to grow on me, maybe. How is it pronounced?

@Greyblue It’s pronounced fry-nee. Check out Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries books or show and I bet you fall in love with it!

[name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_f]Melody[/name_f] [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] I think are gorgeous combos, but I prefer [name_f]Sylva[/name_f] for a first name a bit more. However, I’m not as keen on the combos I come up with for [name_f]Sylva[/name_f]. lol I go round and round. Thanks for the response!

I’ve definitely heard the correct pronunciation of [name_f]Phryne[/name_f] before and it makes sense with how its spelled but somehow my brain always says “fye-reen.”
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is [name_f]Emerald[/name_f], I’m really happy to see it on someone’s list.

ah, that’s cute! I will have to think on it!

I think I like Sylva best for you too! Sylva Wilhelmine Kate came to mind, Sylva Roisin Kate, Sylva Katrin Wilhelmina or Sylva Melrose Kate too
