I think I am one of the only berries on this site that just does not see the appeal of [name]Anastasia[/name] at all. Despite the hype, I just see it as a mouthful of a name when [name]Ana[/name] is just perfect by itself. I do, however, love both [name]Victoria[/name] and [name]Elodie[/name]. If I had to choose one…I would pick [name]Elodie[/name]. As I think it fits in beautifully with your other names.
[name]Anastasia[/name], while a pretty name, seems a bit much when coupled with [name]Genevieve[/name].
[name]Victoria[/name] is a classic, but its nicknames ([name]Vicky[/name], [name]Vick[/name], [name]Tori[/name]) are all unappealing, [name]IMO[/name].
So my vote goes to [name]Elodie[/name]. It’s the most uncommon of the three and might garner you some double-takes from people encountering it for the first time, but once you roll it off the tongue a couple times you really fall in love with it.
I like [name]Elodie[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name]. [name]Victoria[/name] fits really well, while [name]Elodie[/name] sounds beautiful and has a the ‘right’ number of syllables to fit with your names.
I love [name]Elodie[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name], but agree with a previous poster that the nicknames for [name]Victoria[/name] are not very appealing. But if you’re not a nickname person I think either one works great.
Thanks. My two oldest kids go by nicknames, but [name]Genevieve[/name] does not. So it would work either way. I love [name]Victoria[/name] but completely agree about the nicknames. I would cringe if someone called her [name]Vicki[/name]! [name]Glad[/name] people are liking [name]Elodie[/name] – haven’t quite sold my hubby on it, but I also think it works well with our sibset. Of course, she would likely have the nickname [name]Ellie[/name], which is pretty popular.
Hmm…
[name]Alexander[/name], [name]Madelyn[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name] and [name]Anastasia[/name]: I love the name [name]Anastasia[/name] she’s elegant, vibrant and conjures up brilliant images of Russian royalty and the Russian revolution which is such an interesting majestic time. However even though I love [name]Anastasia[/name] she doesn’t work. I dislike the fact that it’s another ‘A’ name in a sibling set where each child has their own initial visually another ‘A’ name looks strange. Secondly I think [name]Anastasia[/name] sounds great with [name]Genevieve[/name] both names are on a similar page concerning the style of each classic. Yet with [name]Madelyn[/name] the name looks strange as [name]Anastasia[/name] is so elegant and almost powerful whereas [name]Madelyn[/name] feels informal and southern. The names stylistically clash. [name]Madeleine[/name] would have worked but not [name]Madelyn[/name]. Concerning [name]Alexander[/name] with [name]Anastasia[/name] I think it’s an overkill, due to [name]Alexandra[/name] being [name]Princess[/name] [name]Anastasia[/name]'s mother and [name]Duke[/name] [name]Aleksey[/name] being her younger brother it’s just too much concerning the historical associations. [name]Even[/name] though I love that historical period it’s an overkill.
[name]Alexander[/name], [name]Madelyn[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name] and [name]Elodie[/name]: I’m not keen on the name [name]Elodie[/name]. I think she sounds unattractive however I do see the attraction. She’s a quirky French choice that would have worked well with [name]Alexander[/name], [name]Madelyn[/name] and [name]Genevieve[/name], because she has a sense of informality which would work with [name]Madelyn[/name] and yet feels classy which works with [name]Alexander[/name] and [name]Genevieve[/name]. [name]Elodie[/name] also rounds of the combination nicely. I also like the fact that [name]Elodie[/name] has a different initial to her siblings. Yet I just completely dislike the sound of this name, it feels unattractive and brand-like. Have you thought of [name]Eloise[/name]? Or [name]Evie[/name]?
[name]Alexander[/name], [name]Madelyn[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name]: I love [name]Victoria[/name]! She’s my name and I’ve always had complements on her name especially as I tend to not shorten [name]Victoria[/name] nowadays anyway. I think [name]Victoria[/name] is really elegant, regal and pretty. I think she works well with [name]Alexander[/name] as they both are rich in history but because their commonly used aren’t an overkill and tied with a certain part of history, like with [name]Anastasia[/name] and [name]Alexander[/name]. I also think [name]Victoria[/name] works with [name]Madelyn[/name] because even thought stylistically their different and visually look different as well, both names are well known and due to this have a classic informality to them which makes the two names work well together. I also think [name]Victoria[/name] works with [name]Genevieve[/name] as their both lacy feminine yet strong choices. I also think [name]Victoria[/name] rounds of the sibling yet nicely. Great choice.
