Hello! I’m new here but this site came highly recommended by several ladies on another mommy forum I am part of. I am expecting baby #3 (a little girl!) and I’m having an awful time with names. To make matters worse, my fiancé has for some reason decided that her name should start with A, C, or K. Her middle name will be [name]Ann[/name] after my fiance’s grandma.
The only name we both like is [name]Cecily[/name] but fiancé won’t let me use it because he used to know someone with that name and he says it gave him a bad association with the name.
Please help! Any and all A, C, or K names that sound good with [name]Ann[/name] would be helpful!!!
Congrats and welcome to NB, [name]Ashley[/name]! That’s an awful shame about [name]Cecily[/name], as [name]Cecily[/name] [name]Ann[/name] would be wonderful
[name]Do[/name] you mind sharing your other kids’ names so we have an idea of style? Or you could give us some examples of names that you and your fiance have nixed for one reason or another. It’ll help us to give better advice
ETA: I kind of forgot about the [name]Ann[/name] bit while I was coming up with these, so just ignore the ones that sound ridiculous Or maybe the ones with [name]Ann[/name] in them could honor your relative and you could choose another middle!
[name]Cecily[/name] [name]Ann[/name] is beautiful. That is too bad. What about [name]Cecilia[/name]? Not exactly the same, but … [name]Cicely[/name] would also be an option. Slight variant, but still, you never know what men will go for.
I’m not great at this, but some did come immediately to mind for pairing with [name]Ann[/name], so here goes (sorry for repeats):
[name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Adelia[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Aurora[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Alyssa[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Abigail[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Alina[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Catherine[/name] [name]Ann[/name] ([name]Katherine[/name] is also an option)
[name]Callista[/name] [name]Ann[/name] (or [name]Kallista[/name])
[name]Camilla[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Cynthia[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Carina[/name] [name]Ann[/name] (or [name]Karina[/name])
[name]Katarina[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
(I’m a little short on K names …)
It would be great to know a bit more about your style and what names you like. The folks on here are great with that sort of thing – matching names to style.
Sorry! Should have included more info for you! My son’s name is [name]Kiefer[/name] [name]William[/name] and my daughter is Jaleigh [name]Kathleen[/name]. Middle names are family names so [name]Ann[/name] is pretty set in stone because of that. My daughter is the oldest and I had her when I was very young. My naming tastes have changed considerably since then. Although I can’t imagine her as anything else, I would like to avoid any of the overly popular or trendy type names. Basically, I like kinda funky unique names but I want it to be a legitimate name. And I would prefer for my other children’s names not to stick out like sore thumbs…clear as mud?? Lol
Some other names I like that don’t start with the right letters for my fiancé:
[name]Eleni[/name]
[name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Mila[/name]
[name]Tahlia[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name]
[name]Hope[/name] that helps a little more! Thanks for all the suggestions so far. Please keep them coming! I’m compiling a big list to hit fiancé with. He’s bound to like one of them!
