NEW HERE-I'm having my 1st baby.Need opinions on name choice

Ok my Fiance and I have chosen some names but we’ve both chose two separate choices of names for either if it’s a boy or girl and I would like to know which of them you like better.
If knowing the last name helps you out any it’s Rutledge.
1st- My choices
If it’s a girl- Espirit [name]Victoria[/name] Jilliann R.( the first name’s pronunciation is a soft e + spree)
If it’s a boy- Chaselence [name]Michael[/name] [name]Ryder[/name] R.

My Fiance’s
If it’s a girl- Addelynne [name]Evangeline[/name] Auri R.
If it’s a boy- [name]Maddox[/name] [name]Blaze[/name] [name]Jaidyn[/name] R.

Thanks for taking the time to help us out.

Espirit [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] & [name]Maddox[/name] [name]Michael[/name] [name]Ryder[/name]

I think that I like your fiance’s choices better!

For a boy, I like [name]Maddox[/name] [name]Blaze[/name] [name]Ryder[/name] R.
For a girl, Espirit [name]Evangeline[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] R.

Espirit [name]Victoria[/name] Jilliann R.: I think a little Espirit will spend her life correcting people’s pronunciation and spelling of her name. :frowning: I’m also reminded of the clothing line.

Chaselence [name]Michael[/name] [name]Ryder[/name] R.: Chaselence? I’m sorry, but this invented/“yooneek” name looks and sounds really strange to me. I honestly don’t think Chaselence will serve your son well. :frowning: What about simply using [name]Chase[/name]?

Addelynne [name]Evangeline[/name] Auri R.: I think [name]Adeline[/name] is very pretty, classy, and sophisticated, but Addelynne, with it’s invented/yooneek spelling honestly isn’t classy, and will sentence your daughter to a lifetime of having to correct people’s spellings. Yooneek spellings aren’t unique at all, but do make a name look misspelled.

I really love [name]Evangeline[/name], but I don’t think [name]Adeline[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] flows well.

[name]Maddox[/name] [name]Blaze[/name] [name]Jaidyn[/name] R.: [name]Maddox[/name] is 100% [name]Jolie[/name]-[name]Pitt[/name] to me, and [name]Jaidyn[/name] (or [name]Jaden[/name]/[name]Jayden[/name]/[name]Jadyn[/name], etc.) is really trendy and dated. What about other X names: [name]Alexander[/name], [name]Dexter[/name], [name]Felix[/name], [name]Max[/name], [name]Maxwell[/name], [name]Maxfield[/name], [name]Paxton[/name], [name]Xavier[/name]?

More ideas:

[name]Dashiell[/name] (nn [name]Dash[/name])

Good luck!

Espirit [name]Victoria[/name] Jilliann R. - In theory, Espirit has a nice sound to it. I can see it’s appeal. However, in reality, I’m afraid that she’ll be telling people how to spell her name her entire life and it does remind of the clothing line. It is ok, but has some major drawbacks.
Chaselence [name]Michael[/name] [name]Ryder[/name] R. - This is way out there to me. [name]WAY[/name] too made up sounding. No one will no how to spell or say it. Beyond that, it won’t have a meaning because it’s invented. I would stick with [name]Chase[/name].

Addelynne [name]Evangeline[/name] Auri R. - Would you be pronouncing this [name]Add[/name]-a-lin? or [name]Add[/name]-a-line? Addeline is beautiful, but there are a see of [name]Addison[/name], Addeline and Addelaide’s rihgt now. I still love them, but the popularity turns me off. Addeline doesn’t work, [name]IMO[/name], with [name]Evangeline[/name]. If you’ll be pronouncing it [name]Add[/name]-a-lin, [name]Evangeline[/name] works much better. However, that pronunciation falls back into the invented category/

[name]Maddox[/name] [name]Blaze[/name] [name]Jaidyn[/name] R. - [name]Blaze[/name] is very nice. [name]Maddox[/name] is good, but will definitely be dated and tied to the Brangelina phenomenon. [name]Jaidyn[/name] is not my style due to popularity and the invented spelling. I would keep [name]Blaze[/name], but look elswhere for a new first name and second middle. I do like this choice MUCH better than Chaselence, though.

Good luck!

While I like [name]Victoria[/name], I am not at all fond of Espirit, and I love your fiance’s choice for a girl - Adeleine (I really prefer it spelt the usual way - it looks much less like you were trying to be “creative”, and there will be less problems with spelling) [name]Evangeline[/name] (beautiful) Auri (also beautiful).
boy - your names are too modern American for my taste, I am afraid - but then again, it’s your choice! If you like [name]Blaze[/name], how about spelling it [name]Blaise[/name] - it is a French name. [name]Don[/name]'t do [name]Maddox[/name], as people will think you are copying Brangelina … Rather than Chaselence, what about just [name]Chase[/name], or even [name]Charles[/name]/[name]Charlie[/name]? [name]Michael[/name] is a good middle name.
I hope that helps!

I agree with jill.
