There are not many Persian names I am a fan of that start with a C, [name_f]Cyra[/name_f] is very beautiful but I think if it to be more Greek then Persian, and its too short for me with our last name. My parents gave the the most Americanized name so I don’t want to use it to connect to my heritage because it doesn’t, plus I’m not ready to honor myself haha.
Their fathers family all have beautiful Spanish and Italian names and they feel left out all the time saying they have “basic” (that’s the kids word for white these days I think) names
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Collette[/name_f] but it’s not flowing with our last name when I say it I’m second guessing everything because today is my due date!! Ahhh
Thank you!!!
You just gave me feelings for the name:
[name_f]Carla[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_u]Vega[/name_u]
([name_f]Marie[/name_f] is a name from her fathers family he want to honor if it fit)
Opinions on this name?!
I think this is going to be my first official name on my list to take to the hospital.
Thank you I like [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] too but as it is my middle name and I’m not ready to honor myself, and my kids said pleaseeeee don’t name her [name_f]Lauren[/name_f]! I understand what my kids are saying, I am Persian and people ask all the time why I don’t have a Persian name. My kids are Persian Spanish and Italian, their last name is [name_u]Vega[/name_u] a Spanish last name and they look very ethnic and speak with accents and then introduce themselves with very Americanized names, I know it’s silly but now that my older kids are grown they tell me these things and I get name regret.
The only one who doesn’t have a bone to pick with me is [name_u]Tyler[/name_u], he says all the time “thanks for not naming me Spaceship”
[name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] comes with the nickname of [name_f]Cassie[/name_f] which is great at any age. Although I don’t think of [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] as childish, so I don’t think it will be a problem. You always have the option of [name_f]Cassie[/name_f]!
My favorite from your list of C names is [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f].
[name_f]Carla[/name_f] is nice. It’s a solid choice, though I prefer it as a nickname for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Carolina[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] or [name_f]Charlize[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] is at the top of my list too. I like the nicknames [name_f]Cece[/name_f] or [name_f]Celia[/name_f].
I have myself narrowed down to my 4 favorites. I think I will stick with the middle name [name_f]Marie[/name_f] unless something else is suggested that fits.
I’m stuck between
[name_u]Courtney[/name_u] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_u]Vega[/name_u]
[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_u]Vega[/name_u]
[name_f]Chelsie[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_u]Vega[/name_u]
[name_f]Carla[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] [name_u]Vega[/name_u]
I think it is interesting that most of your middle name choices are actually very “current” first names: [name_f]Bianca[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f].
I think if you want to go for something more towards the 90s just make sure that it is one of the classic names: [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Sarah[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f], instead of [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] or [name_u]Courtney[/name_u] or something like that. (My name is [name_u]Courtney[/name_u] btw).
Sorry I just read this post and didn’t go all the way to the end.
If you really love the name [name_u]Courtney[/name_u], go with it. I was born in 83 which was actually the true era of ‘[name_u]Courtney[/name_u]’ and the ‘[name_u]Whitney[/name_u], [name_f]Brittney[/name_f] and [name_u]Ashley[/name_u]’. My brother’s name is also very 80s (think [name_m]Justin[/name_m] or [name_u]Kyle[/name_u]).
Personally, I’m a fairly serious person and I don’t think cutie “[name_u]Courtney[/name_u]” ever fit me - I always think I’d have made a better [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] or [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
That being said, the name will probably end up aging well since it wasn’t ever uber popular even in it’s heyday.
I’m excited to announce our beautiful baby girl was born at 5:07 this morning.
But! Upon seeing our beautiful bundle of blonde hair little girl ( she looks nothing like our other children ) we unanimously decided she was not a [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]. Or any of our other names.
I’m back for help guys! We can’t keep calling her “babe”
I didn’t have a list to begin with and I’m not even sure where to start on what names I’m looking for.
My other children were born in the 90’s and have wildly popular names from that time.
[name_f]Rachel[/name_f], [name_f]Samantha[/name_f], [name_u]Tyler[/name_u], [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] and [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f].
I don’t necessarily want a 90’s baby name but I also am not a fan of most of the popular names today.
Last name is [name_u]Vega[/name_u] so no V names.
7 hours with this bundle of smiles and I know she is just going to be the sweetest and spunkiest little thing! I want a name that fits that, she has brought so much life to our family and she was such an unexpected and much needed blessing, I would like a name that has some meaning, but don’t like the [name_f]Faith[/name_f], [name_f]Hope[/name_f],[name_f]Grace[/name_f] ideas
Sorry for the rambling post I’m just dying to find a fitting name for her!!
Please give me some ideas, first and middle names <3
I always get that about the older kids middle names, I picked them back then because they were not popular and I thought I was being a trendsetter lol :rolleyes::rolleyes:
I agree with you on the more classic names, I have name regret all the time over my children’s names because everyone else has the same name in their age group, I’d like to avoid it with my now born non named little girl.
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] “[name_f]Kate[/name_f]” “[name_f]Katie[/name_f]” or “[name_f]Kathy[/name_f]” my favorite with your other children’s names
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]
[name_f]Jenna[/name_f]
[name_f]Verity[/name_f] “[name_f]Vera[/name_f]”
[name_f]Constance[/name_f]
[name_f]Serenity[/name_f]
[name_f]Blythe[/name_f] or [name_f]Blithe[/name_f]
[name_f]Desiree[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f]
[name_u]Harmony[/name_u]
[name_f]Justine[/name_f]
Names we are throwing around so you can get an idea of what we are liking, I’m not sure we have a certain name style but these are ones we are drawn to
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_m]Brooks[/name_m]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
