New Middle For Caroline: Thoughts?

I’ve been switching up my combinations lately and I’m trying to find a new name to pair with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].

Could you give me your thoughts on these?

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Annika[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Zara[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Oksana[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]

My combination at the moment is [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f].

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Zara[/name_f] are my favorites. Not sure if you were looking for more suggestions or not, but just in case:

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Ansley[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Honora[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Abrielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]

One of the other posters has [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] in her signature and I love it!

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f] has a nice ring to it.

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Oksana[/name_f] are lovely!

The only ones I like as much or more than [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] are [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. The rest don’t flow well to me.

I really like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Zara[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f].

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] has exceptional flow!

So far [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] seems to be the one most liked. Thanks everyone!

@marshmallow1207
Thank you for the suggestions! I really like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f].

@raindaygarden
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is nice, but I already have [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] paired with [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].

Yes I think it is the perfect combo!!

Me too! :wink: I also love [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Zara[/name_f] is my favourite on your list!
Here’s another few suggestions:
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] ([name_f]LOVE[/name_f]

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] & [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] are my favourites from your list

@kyemsma
I’ve starting liking [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] recently. I’m not sure if I would pair it with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], but I’m definitely thinking about it more.

@tree_loves_eth
I think [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] is a nice name, but it’s also my sister-in-laws name. I also don’t think it flows well with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is a very classic, proper name, so I think it needs a middle name that spices it up a bit. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Zara[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] are perfect.

I’m stuck between [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Oksana[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Oksana[/name_f], but it’s more exotic compared to my other favorites. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is more recognizable and I think it will cause less pronunciation issues. I prefer it as a first name though. Oh, the woes of being a name nerd. :expressionless: I think I"m over-thinking again.

Vote for [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Zara[/name_f]. :slight_smile:

I don’t know if this helps you (like, at all. But hopefully it will!), but my name is [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]! I don’t go by [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] (I go by [name_f]Carly[/name_f]), but my middle name is [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]. You would think that the whole three-syllable thing with Car-ro-line [name_m]Gab[/name_m]-ri-elle would be strange or tiresome, but, to be honest, I didn’t really notice until we were counting the syllables of our names in school. My last name is also three syllables, and it somehow fits. Although, I supposed I’m somewhat biased, having grown up hearing the name.

Anyway, if it’s syllables you’re debating, I personally prefer one or three, but it really depends on the last name. For example, I think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m] has a nice ring to it, as does [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] Fizgerald, but for a short last name like [name_m]Rhodes[/name_m], I’d say two syllables, like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_m]Rhodes[/name_m].

Maybe I’m just over-analyzing this, but I can be a bit OCD with things like that. So, feel free to disagree or ignore me. :slight_smile:

As for the names you’ve listed, I really like the names [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] / [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] / [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] (I can’t remember how you spelled it, but I like all spellings of that name I think.) Also, I’ve always loved [name_f]Margot[/name_f] as a name. Again, I like pretty much any spelling of it ([name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Margo[/name_f], Margeaux), but I think the way you spelled it, with a T at the end like [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_m]Frank[/name_m]'s sister, is better for a middle name than just plain [name_f]Margo[/name_f], which I see as more of a nickname for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] than a stand-alone name.

Anyway, [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is a great name, and with so many nicknames to choose from if you so desire ([name_f]Carrie[/name_f], [name_f]Carly[/name_f], [name_f]Carol[/name_f], Caddy [like Caddy Woodlawn], [name_u]Caro[/name_u], [name_f]Cara[/name_f], Liney, etc.), and even though it’s a classic, it’s not tired like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], etc. (don’t get me wrong; I love those three names! I just wish hey didn’t have that tired feel.) Again, I might be biased, as it is my name. But since I go by [name_f]Carly[/name_f], and so many people probably don’t even know that my name is actually [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], I almost feel like it isn’t my name at all.

I told myself that I wouldn’t talk your ear off, but then I started rambling. Sorry. :slight_smile: [name_f]Hope[/name_f] you find a good middle name!

I have no problem with syllables. Flow and loving the name is what is most important to me. It’s not likely that the first-middle-last name would be said together. Unless someone is in trouble :stuck_out_tongue:

I totally get the over-analyzing thing. I do it often. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] has a ton of nicknames, but my favorite is the old one [name_f]Callie[/name_f]. It’s not used much, but I absolutely love it. I love your type(long and detailed) of comments. No need to apologize. :slight_smile:

Thank you for another great comment [name_f]Carly[/name_f]!

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is one of my favorite names and appears frequently on our family tree. We have a [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] Cinetta, a [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u], and an [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] or [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. I also think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is one of those classics that can use a surname as a middle: [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_u]Carson[/name_u], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_u]Fallon[/name_u]
