[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone! I have had a heck of a time with girls names. I “like” a lot but don’t [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]. Yesterday I came across the name [name_f]CARINA[/name_f]. I’d love opinions on this name!
First of all, my step daughter’s names are [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]. Both three syllables and to me, sound exotic (Spanish or [name_m]French[/name_m]). I am not a fan of the popularity of their names, however. I feel like [name_f]Carina[/name_f] fits this style well but is unique.
Also, my husband has really liked the name [name_f]Nina[/name_f]. I think we could use that as a nickname. Does this work?
We do have reasons that we cannot use the similar name [name_f]Corinna[/name_f] or any variation of that name. I like [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] for awhile and my husband rejected it because but it looks too similar to someone else’s name close to our family.
Lastly, I’m thinking of the combo [name_f]Carina[/name_f] [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]. [name_u]Lee[/name_u] is the middle name of my step daughter’s so [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] is one syllable like theirs AND [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] has been a strong contender all along (and still a possibility for first, I guess.)
Please let me know all your thoughts that come along with [name_f]Carina[/name_f] [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Nina[/name_f])!
