New name on my list

So I’m pretty in love with the names [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], [name_m]Otis[/name_m], [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] or [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] if I have another boy. But I’ve recently come across the name [name_u]Hartley[/name_u]. I vaguely remember working with someone with that as a last name many many years ago and thought it was cool. How do you feel about the name [name_u]Hartley[/name_u]? It’s giving me outdoorsy, adventure, sweet, cosy, strong, caring vibes. What does it make you feel? Emoji responses welcome.
Also think the nickname [name_m]Art[/name_m] or [name_m]Arty[/name_m] is cute. Thanks x

I think [name_u]Hartley[/name_u] is standout and fits well with the rest of the names on your list! To me, [name_u]Hartley[/name_u] feels warm, strong, and adventurous.

I thinks it’s just OK and your other options are much better, imo. Especially [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] and [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]

I think it would be misheard as “hardly” frequently… but useable if you love it.

Hard pass, sorry. I might be biased (knew a guy growing up) but I think the other names are waaaaaay better.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Hartley[/name_u] - woodsy, poetic and charming

I like all your names. [name_u]Hartley[/name_u] is a winsome, welcoming name - it’s one of those names for me that if the guy is a solid, good man, then great but - like most -ley names (so same for Oakley) - if they’re cocky and entitled, it really adds to that vibe!

I love [name_u]Hartley[/name_u], I had it on my list with my first son 6 years ago. It’s still a favorite of mine! I also feel like it’s a good sibling name for [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] and [name_u]Oakley[/name_u].

[name_u]Hartley[/name_u] is great! That “heart” sound makes it sound sweet and friendly!

Also you like [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] for a boy!! * happiness *

I like it! Definitely concur with this:

I do agree that the potential is there for it to sound like “hardly”, but that doesn’t seem like a deal-breaker, as I think the pronunciation is subtly different.

It’s not bad by any means, but it strikes me as something a lot of people would use for a girl these days. I know a [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] and an [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] and have heard of an Oakleigh… [name_u]Hartley[/name_u] would fit right in. So it’s not my favorite among the others on your list. I like [name_m]Otis[/name_m] & [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] very much.
