Last-minute new names came up, mostly because we went from being happy and confident with our boy name to second-guessing it to not liking it as much.
Our original finalists were [name]Nico[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] and [name]Davis[/name] [name]Bennett[/name]. We decided to stick with [name]Davis[/name] [name]Bennett[/name] until… well, until the comments about surname/name came. We took them seriously but instead of returning to [name]Nico[/name], we began to look for other names.
Now we are considering [name]Leon[/name] [name]Bennett[/name]. WDT? Better? Worse? About the same?
As for our girl name, [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Ruth[/name], we are pretty happy about it, but I am flirthing with [name]Willa[/name] [name]Esther[/name] too. WDT? Perhaps for a second girl? Or better than [name]Gemma[/name]?
Personally, I love [name]Nico[/name] more than [name]Leon[/name]. [name]Love[/name] [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Ruth[/name], not as keen on [name]Willa[/name] [name]Esther[/name].
I like [name]Davis[/name] and [name]Gemma[/name] the best. I totally understand about second guessing a name and then worrying so much you don’t like it anymore. I am a week away from delivering and doing the same thing. So frustrating!
I would not like my name to be [name]Esther[/name], too hard to pronounce and sounds so plain and old. Unless its after a family member, I would reconsider that for your girl.
You keep putting [name]Bennett[/name] in the middle name spot…any reason why [name]Bennett[/name] can’t be his first name? I like it. Also like [name]Nico[/name], [name]Samuel[/name], and [name]Leon[/name]. My problem with [name]Davis[/name] isn’t that it’s a surname, but its similarity to [name]David[/name]; I think he would have a tough time all his life correcting that one.
Agree with pp, I like [name]Bennett[/name] [name]Davis[/name] or [name]Bennett[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] better than any of your boys names. Similarly, I also love [name]Beckett[/name]! [name]Beckett[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] or [name]Beckett[/name] [name]Leon[/name] is adorable.

of all the names you posted I like [name]Bennett[/name] [name]David[/name] and [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] the best. The others are pretty but I prefer those.

I love [name]Leon[/name] [name]Bennett[/name]! I like it so much more than both [name]Nico[/name] and [name]Davis[/name], personally. I adore both [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] and [name]Willa[/name] [name]Esther[/name], I honestly don’t think I can decide. I think I’d lean toward [name]Willa[/name] for my own list, but I think as a combo I prefer [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] (I like [name]Leon[/name] and [name]Gemma[/name] as siblings more, too).

For the girls I prefer your original pick, [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Ruth[/name].

I prefer [name]Gemma[/name] over [name]Willa[/name], but idk how you feel about it being so close to [name]Emma[/name], she’ll likely be mistaken for being an [name]Emma[/name].

I agree with rsoronen. For the girl, stick on your original choice…[name]Gemma[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]. Instead of [name]Leon[/name]…[name]How[/name] about considering [name]Noel[/name] [name]Bennett[/name]?
[name]Nico[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] or [name]Leon[/name] [name]Bennett[/name] would be great choices. [name]Leon[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] (or [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Leon[/name]) would be my ultimate mix and match pick. Not keen on [name]Davis[/name] [name]Bennett[/name], I think you’d only really want to have one name being a surname name and the other being an ‘established’ name, so to speak, in case he got fed up of being called Surname [name]Davis[/name] or Surname [name]Bennett[/name] by mistake.
For girls I’d definitely stick with [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Ruth[/name], it’s a great name, and I don’t think [name]Willa[/name] [name]Esther[/name] has the ‘spark’ [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] has. Plus I’m not a fan of [name]Willa[/name] at all, but the combo as a whole just seems to lack ‘zaz’ for me.
