So DH has been suggesting names to me a bit lately, and he suggested a new one that I have never even considered; [name_m]Otis[/name_m]. WDYT about it? Too dogish? LOL! I’m not sure, I think I may just try really hard to like names because I’m so excited that he likes them! Anyway, it doesn’t feel terrible to me, what are your first instincts about it, and what would you say about it in my sibset? Thanks!
I have no association of the name on a boy or man, just a dog, so I do think of a dog when I hear the name. Sorry.
Unfortunately, all I can think of is the dog! I sort of like it in your sib set but [name_u]Kai[/name_u] and [name_m]Otis[/name_m] just doesn’t seem right maybe?
I don’t really like [name_m]Otis[/name_m]. 
I like it. I like [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_m]Otis[/name_m] as a set, but I’m not so sure about [name_u]Kai[/name_u] and [name_m]Otis[/name_m].
I would come back to him with [name_m]Odin[/name_m] instead.
I immediately think [name_m]Otis[/name_m] [name_m]Redding[/name_m], not of a dog. But I also agree that it doesn’t seem quite right with [name_u]Kai[/name_u].
Idk what my opinion on [name_m]Otis[/name_m] is but I know a lot of people will have strong opinions about it. I wouldn’t use it if that bothers you. If not then go for it. Have you considered [name_m]Otto[/name_m]?
Ok And as for it not sounding right with [name_u]Kai[/name_u] I wouldn’t worry about that too much. I think your child would appriciate having a name that you loved instead of a name you thought “went” with his siblings. I don’t think [name_u]Kai[/name_u] “goes” with [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] or [name_f]Iris[/name_f] but there obviously names you loved! Name him what ever you [name_f]Love[/name_f]!
[name_m]Otis[/name_m] reminds me of “The Adventures of [name_m]Milo[/name_m] & [name_m]Otis[/name_m]”.
And while I liked the movie growing up,
I think of that dang pug when I hear the name.
