[name_f]My[/name_f] 2 year old is a [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. We call him [name_m]Tom[/name_m]. His daycare calls him thomas even though we never do. I think if you push for the full name it wouldn’t be an issue since in my experience most ppl prefer the whole name.

I know a few guys who go by [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], so yes, it is possible to avoid [name_m]Tom[/name_m] and [name_m]Tommy[/name_m].
