Had to redo this poll to say [name_f]Athena[/name_f] instead of Azula (whoops!).

[name_u]Sage[/name_u] & [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] are moving to the middle name spot because they are herbal like [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].
And [name_f]Coral[/name_f] is getting bumped to the middle name spot as well because as well as being naturey it is similar to my husband’s first name.

I adore the names [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] and [name_f]Coral[/name_f].
I love the name Azula as well.

I think [name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] goes nicely with Azula [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Pandora[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] as a combo .

I see that Azula is a variation of the Spanish word for blue, and that you also have another Spanish name, [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f]. Is this on purpose? I think Esper and Azula would be cute together, but you would have a Spanish theme as well as a nature theme on your hands if you went that route.

Otherwise I really like [name_f]Athena[/name_f] and [name_f]Indira[/name_f], though if you chose [name_f]Athena[/name_f] you’d have two A’s and I don’t know if you’d want to get yourself caught in an A theme.

I think my favorite with Azula would be [name_f]Indira[/name_f].

Other herb/nature names similar to [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]: [name_f]Amandine[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f]/[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f], [name_f]Lavender[/name_f], [name_f]Gardenia[/name_f], [name_f]Shoshana[/name_f]/[name_f]Susanna[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Camelia[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Fauna[/name_f], [name_f]Heather[/name_f], [name_f]Laurel[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Silvia[/name_f], [name_f]Anthea[/name_f], [name_f]Calantha[/name_f].

Personally I really love [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], as they’re both flower names that aren’t too out there. Besides [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] I also like [name_f]Lavender[/name_f], [name_f]Anthea[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Shoshana[/name_f], and [name_f]Heather[/name_f].

What I think goes best with Azula [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]:
[name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_f]Susanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]
[name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_f]Anthea[/name_f]
[name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_f]Shoshana[/name_f]
[name_f]Indira[/name_f] [name_f]Heather[/name_f]

I think I like [name_f]Indira[/name_f] best with [name_f]Lavender[/name_f].

Esperanza Coral is cool, I like Esperanza most with Azula. Saffron is my favorite of your mn choices but may be to s heavy with the fn. I also really like Indira Saffron.

[name_f]Esperanza[/name_f]! This is perfect with Azula, and how could you not? I’m not sure I love your middle name choices with it…maybe something more ‘classic’ to match [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]? [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]? [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]? [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f] [name_f]Marabel[/name_f]? [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f]?

Good luck!

Good call, I hadn’t even considered getting stuck with a Spanish theme if we chose [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f]!
Thanks for all your herbal name suggestions as well. I particularly like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] and especially [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] - [name_u]Corey[/name_u] isn’t on board with any of those though.

I don’t know that [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is more classic than [name_u]Sage[/name_u] or [name_f]Coral[/name_f], really, but I get where you’re going with this. If we wanted to go with something more conventional we certainly could consider [name_f]Heather[/name_f] or [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f] or something like that maybe? I just don’t want it to come off as too tame. We aren’t really conventional people! Thanks for the suggestion, that’s certainly something to think about.

I think as far as first names go, it is head to head for us between [name_f]Athena[/name_f] and [name_f]Indira[/name_f]. I like both pronunciations of [name_f]Indira[/name_f] though I think I favour In-dee-rah. I’ll probably ask an Indo-Canadian friend how they think its normally pronounced. We really love [name_f]Athena[/name_f]. I know its quite matchy with Azula, but we’re not really too afraid of getting locked in to an A-theme. Our top boy name is [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], after all.
I do like all the names (obviously), I think [name_f]Esparanza[/name_f] is lovely and exotic - who knows, we might end up choosing with a roll of the dice.
Middle name will most likely either be [name_u]Sage[/name_u] or [name_f]Coral[/name_f].

Thanks everyone for your input. I would love to hear more if you think of any further suggestions or anything!

I am not in love with [name_f]Indira[/name_f] but I really like Indali would this make a good fit for you?

I absolutely love [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f] and the nn Anza. [name_f]Indira[/name_f] is lovely, and [name_f]Athena[/name_f] is nice (though a bit too close to Azula, in my opinion) but [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f] is really stunning. And I don’t think you’ll be stuck in a Spanish theme- Azula doesn’t “read” as Spanish to me as [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f], and I could see a sibset of Azula, [name_f]Esperanza[/name_f], and [name_f]Indira[/name_f] working just fine.

[name_f]Valencia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] is perfect with Azula [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. Good luck!

Ooh Indali is very pretty! [name_u]Corey[/name_u] tends to prefer names that end in A, so I’m not sure if he will go for Indali.

Also Anza is adorable! Great nn suggestion!

Vote #2 for [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]!

Was thinking about the name [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] today and how much I like it with Azula. I like that it keeps a subtle color theme ([name_f]Valencia[/name_f] oranges) which is not so obvious that you would be obliged to keep up with it for later kids. Also, I like the brave meaning. Azula has a brave feeling to me. They both also feel v 1910 bohemian glamorous.

I trip a bit over the two s’s right together like that, tho…

[name_f]Valencia[/name_f] Chamomile
[name_f]Valencia[/name_f] Bergamot
[name_f]Valencia[/name_f] Monarda
[name_f]Valencia[/name_f] Chicory (it’s an herb! not just a weed! You can roast it and make fake coffee!)
[name_f]Valencia[/name_f] Margoram
[name_f]Valencia[/name_f] Chervil

Indali is cute. Indali [name_u]Sage[/name_u]? Oh, my.

I appreciate the input re: [name_f]Valencia[/name_f]. I think my only possible issue with this name is I haven’t thought of any really fabulous nicknames ([name_f]Cia[/name_f]/“sia” would be nice but I HATE HATE HATE nn [name_u]Val[/name_u]).
Oh, and I absolutely love Chicory coffee, there’s a Creole style blend you can buy at come places called Cafe du Monde. So delicious.

I agree, Indali [name_u]Sage[/name_u] is totally adorable.

[name_m]Ah[/name_m]! I should have mentioned! [name_f]One[/name_f] of my favorite things about the name [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] is nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f]. [name_f]Cia[/name_f] is also nice. Cici?
I share your hatred of [name_u]Val[/name_u].

We buy Cafe du Monde at the bodega across the street! So delicious. So cheap.
I have a special love for chicory also because the plant is a total rock star diva of terrible terrible soil. Scrappy and flamboyant. The papery blue flowers- so luminous.

I’m sad [name_u]Corey[/name_u] vetoed [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] bc [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] amazes me.

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you use a nn for Azula?

Yeah, that JERK! Haha.
Although, he did say after persistent nagging that if I REALLY wanted to use [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] he would tolerate it as a middle name, so maybe if I just keep pushing [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] on him he will surrender.

[name_f]Leni[/name_f] is cute! I knew a girl named [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] and I always loved her name.

Azula either goes by her given name or if I use a nickname for her it’s usually [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Zu. I call her [name_f]Zula[/name_f] occasionally too, but [name_u]Corey[/name_u] always uses her full name or just calls her “little girl”.

[name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]… Azula [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]… I don’t like any of the rest
