We are expecting and don’t know the gender yet but would like to start thinking of some names for our new little one. We have DS [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and DD [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. What other names first come to your head when you hear [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f]?
For a boy I really like [name_u]Beau[/name_u] but wondering if the matchy endings with [name_u]Theo[/name_u] would get confusing/sound tacky. Wdyt?
For a girl I really like [name_f]Emme[/name_f], (pronounced [name_f]Em[/name_f]-mee) only thing is when u see the name do you see ([name_f]Em[/name_f]) I also love the name [name_f]Nora[/name_f] but can’t use unfortunately
I know it may look like a 4 letter theme but we are open to any names we just tend to lean towards the shorter ones, thank you for your help!
I love the names [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f]! I’m in the short name camp too as I don’t care for nick names but would rather name my child something I love and use only that name. I think [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_u]Beau[/name_u] work fine together as the other sounds are completely different and not rhymey. I think there may be some confusion with the name [name_f]Emme[/name_f] although I do know that it is pronounced [name_f]Em[/name_f]-mee, but I don’t think it should be a big issue. [name_m]Just[/name_m] nicely correct once and they will get it! Other suggestions…
I love [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f] as well. I think I like them so much that your suggestions seem dull in comparison.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about
I love [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f] too! Not as keen on [name_u]Beau[/name_u] and [name_f]Emme[/name_f] (which I thought was pronounced “em”) tbh but they fit perfectly well with the other two.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] (seconded! If you like [name_f]Emme[/name_f], this has a similar sound and would be easier for people to pronounce)
[name_f]Evy[/name_f] (rhymes with " heavy")
[name_f]Hallie[/name_f] or [name_f]Callie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f]
[name_f]Erin[/name_f]
[name_f]Thea[/name_f]
[name_f]Zosia[/name_f] (zo-sha)
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] or [name_f]Emily[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Amie[/name_f]
[name_f]Siena[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Alys[/name_f]
[name_f]Noemi[/name_f]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] or [name_f]Bea[/name_f]
My thoughts: [name_u]Beau[/name_u] sounds too similar to [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_f]Emme[/name_f] will always be pronounced [name_f]Em[/name_f]. With [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f], I suggest:
