Newcomers to the extended SSA list 2025

[name_f]Madisson[/name_f] with two s’s also shot up the list. I remember growing up with Hispanic kids who had names like [name_m]Stephany[/name_m], [name_f]Jeniffer[/name_f], etc. when names such as [name_f]Madison[/name_f] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] were popular. Their names were often spelled nontraditionally and considered dated for their time, I suppose because immigrant parents sometimes use names they’ve heard in American culture, and are maybe not familiar with the more common spelling. So my theory on [name_f]Madisson[/name_f] is that she’s a continuation of that trend
