I already posted another thread in the girls forum about this and this is the boy’s edition. Recently I found or re-discovered names that I love and they are on my list by now but newly discovered names always make me wonder what others think of them so it’d be nice if you could leave your opinion on these names. Be as honest as you like!
[name_m]Enrique[/name_m]
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_m]Emil[/name_m]
[name_u]Sinclair[/name_u] (I love soft boy names but I wonder if this one’s too feminine? It sounds so lovely though!)
[name_m]Paolo[/name_m] (Recently watched a film with a charming [name_m]Paolo[/name_m] in it but I have no Italian heritage. Is it still useable?)
[name_m]Gaston[/name_m]
[name_m]Enoch[/name_m]
[name_m]Justus[/name_m]
[name_m]Uriah[/name_m]
[name_m]Cosmo[/name_m]
[name_m]Maximilian[/name_m]
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m]
Zéro (This is a really big guilty pleasure of mine and I know that it isn’t useable as a FN but am I the only one that loves how beautifully it sounds when it’s pronounced the [name_m]French[/name_m] way?)
[name_m]Enrique[/name_m]- like the sounds in this one
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]- I don’t love it but I know a lot of people do. Very classic.
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]- I actually adore [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and if popularity doesn’t bother you then it’s such a great name
[name_m]Emil[/name_m]- really lovely!!
[name_u]Sinclair[/name_u]- I really like this but I definitely understand why you’d be concerned about it being too feminine, it does come across as that because of the [name_u]Clair[/name_u] ending
[name_m]Paolo[/name_m]- I think if you used it people probably would assume you had Italian heritage, but it is a great name
[name_m]Gaston[/name_m]- this one I associate with the disney character I’m afraid!
[name_m]Enoch[/name_m]- hmm I’m not sure about this one? I want to like it but something’s stopping me
[name_m]Justus[/name_m]- I like it
[name_m]Uriah[/name_m]- love! this is such a good name and it’s really nice to see it on someones list!
[name_m]Cosmo[/name_m]- ahah I had this on my gp list for such a long time. It seems more of a middle name/gp
[name_m]Maximilian[/name_m]- I never loved this name but it is growing on me. It just seems very long and a lot of syllables
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m]- I’ve been crushing on this lately!! It’s so wearable and has so many different nicknames. It’s just overall a great name with lots of history behind it
Zéro- I do see what you mean by how it sounds actually but definitely a gp!
[name_m]Enrique[/name_m] - I like this quite a bit!
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] - I just can’t come around to this name, although I know it’s an up and comer in the vintage names category. It’s not my favorite.
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] - This name is alright, although I’ll admit that its popularity is a bit off putting for me.
[name_m]Emil[/name_m] - I love this name! I find the pronunciation a bit difficult personally, but I’m sure it’s fine where you are.
[name_u]Sinclair[/name_u] - I love this name! I think [name_u]Clair[/name_u] is a great name, but going with [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u] makes it a bit more wearable for a boy, possibly. Such a strong name and great meaning.
[name_m]Paolo[/name_m] - I think [name_m]Paolo[/name_m] could work depending on where you live. I knew a [name_m]Pablo[/name_m] who did not look the least bit Spanish, and no one ever questioned it, so I lean towards thinking it should be fine.
[name_m]Gaston[/name_m] - I like [name_m]Gaston[/name_m]. It’s such a great sounding, strong name.
[name_m]Enoch[/name_m] - Not my style… I’m not sure why.
[name_m]Justus[/name_m] - A good name. I love those ‘ends in -us’ names, and this is one of the best.
[name_m]Uriah[/name_m] - This sounds too difficult to my ears…
[name_m]Cosmo[/name_m] - This is alright. It has a nice vintage vibe.
[name_m]Maximilian[/name_m] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] this name! It’s my favorite variation of the [name_u]Max[/name_u]- names. So great!
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] - One of my favorite classic names, as long as you can find a nickname you like, because I think nicknames are inevitable with this name.
Zéro - I get what you mean about the sound, but unfortunately I think the meaning puts this squarely in the realm of ‘guilty pleasure’ names.
