Next girl name G/G/G

So now that I’m a week post partum i figure it’s time to plot my next baby name!

I have L€ona and €stelle. Ideas for a 3rd girl are Cecily and Shea. Couple questions

Is Cecily too close to Estelle?
Does Shea match enough w the first two?
Are there any other one syllable girls names that go w my first two?

I love that you’re jumping into names already :rofl:I think [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] flows better than [name_f]Shea[/name_f] does! It has more of an elegance to it and fits style wish i feel ! I don’t think it’s too close to [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] though.

Other ideas…
[name_f]Mallory[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Elora[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
[name_f]April[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilian[/name_f]
[name_f]Leila[/name_f]

Cecily is bright, sleek and elegant with a sweetness and style. I don’t think €stelle is too close to Cecily, but you could use Cicely to differentiate them more?

To be completely honest, Shea doesn’t ‘match’ the other too - it doesn’t have that international feel, that regal and elegant vibe.

That’s not to say you shouldn’t or couldn’t use Shea. Sisters are each their own person after all and Shea is a lovely name - warm, distinctive and breezy - but! if you were to introduce L, E and S, I would be surprised at first. Still, I kind of like it

I think [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is too close and I don’t think [name_f]Shea[/name_f] goes with the other girls’ names. Other suggestions:

[name_f]Leona[/name_f], [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], and

[name_f]Agnes[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Frances[/name_f] (love this one)
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]

Your girls have lovely names.

Cecily feels like a good match; yes, a little similar soundwise to E’s name, but not overly so and definitely not enough to count it out.

Shea is, as others have said, a departure stylistically from the first two. But I also wonder if it could work as a nickname for Cecily? It’s a bit of a stretch, but it could work, and you’d get two favourite names in one. Or use it as a middle for Cecily - Cecily Shea sounds smart and distinctive.

[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] seems to match with your daughters names more, but if you love [name_f]Shea[/name_f], then use it! [name_f]Shea[/name_f] is still good with siblings’ names.

I like the name [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. However, for me, Im not a fan of the meaning (Blind). If youre not a stickler like me for meaning, its still a very beautiful name and I say go for it. Its very pretty and flows nicely with her sister’s names.

I like the name [name_f]Caelia[/name_f] (Kay-li-uh). Means [name_f]Heavenly[/name_f] and was the name of the fairy queen in Arthurian legend.

Salia - Means [name_f]Princess[/name_f] (Sa-li-uh)
[name_f]Selia[/name_f] - derived from Selene/Selena meaning “Moon Goddess”. (Se-li-uh)

Haha! I have a thing for li-uh being at the end. But again, you cant go wrong [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. :innocent::grin:

The only thing that makes [name_f]Shea[/name_f] seem international to me is that its a very [name_m]Irish[/name_m] name?

@kathleen12345 true - and I guess similar ‘Shay’ can be considered both [name_m]Irish[/name_m] and Hebrew  maybe it can work :person_shrugging: with the right middle? And I guess if you were to have another, [name_f]Shea[/name_f] breaks you out of having one set style?

Maybe June is a better match stylistically? Or Faye?

Stylistically, I think so. But I guess it does depend on what you prefer and makes you happiest?

I don’t think [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is too close to [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]! I also think [name_f]Shea[/name_f] sort of works with [name_f]Leona[/name_f] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] because of the e repetition in all of them. It is simpler in comparison but it has a soft sound like your other names!

I do prefer [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] with this sibset though!! It also gives each kid a different last letter which I like. If you are worried about them being too close still, maybe [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] could work?

Oh my goodness you’re a warrior mama thinking of baby no.3 a week postpartum!

L + E names are beautiful and I think [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] would be a gorgeous fit. She’s vintage, elegant and romantic. [name_f]My[/name_f] only flaw with [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is that L + E have such a fab meanings ‘lioness’ and ‘star’ whereas [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] meaning blind just isn’t as cool. I think I would be tempted to go [name_f]Celia[/name_f] (potential nickname Cecily) as she has the meaning ‘heavenly’ which would be in keeping with your girls gorgeous meanings. Regarding [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] being too similar too [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] I don’t think they are I think they sound beautiful.

With [name_f]Shea[/name_f] I think it would be a rather random sibling set. L & E are very cohesive whereas [name_f]Shea[/name_f] just doesn’t match. She’s a unisex choice that feels spunky and playful. [name_f]Shea[/name_f] lacks the elegance of L & E.

[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is perfect! [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] would also work well. Unfortunately I don’t think [name_f]Shea[/name_f] quite works but [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] might

[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f].
[name_f]My[/name_f] pick is [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] as [name_f]Shea[/name_f] doesn’t flow at all with the others. However, [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] might be a better fit.
