[name_f]Niam[/name_f] [NEE-am] is a Hindi name meaning “rule”. I think it could make a nice alternative to [name_m]Liam[/name_m]. What do you think?
Thanks!

I think he’d spend his whole life having this conversation:
Him: [name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I’m [name_f]Niam[/name_f]!
Them: Nice to meet you [name_m]Liam[/name_m].
Him: Oh, it’s [name_f]Niam[/name_f]. With an N.
But I like the name & the meaning.
I think [name_m]Liam[/name_m] is becoming too popular & I prefer [name_m]William[/name_m].
That is a great point! I’m glad I prefer it in the middle.
I think it’s great!
It reminds me too much of the Irish girl’s name [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] (though it’s pronounced “neev”), which is becoming ever more popular.
I really like it - more unusual than [name_m]Liam[/name_m] but feels fresher and younger than [name_m]Noam[/name_m]. I love short, sweet names for boys.
I don’t think [name_f]Niam[/name_f] being similar to [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] is a negative factor but is definitely something to keep in mind if considering the name.
I pronounced it “Neev”. I thought of a girl name. I would go with [name_m]Eliam[/name_m] or Keliam as an alternative of [name_m]Liam[/name_m]
I’ve never heard of [name_m]Eliam[/name_m]. Thanks for suggesting it!
