Last week, a neighbour’s son was coming to visit and when we were introduced, I heard “Nicklas”. To this day I’m not sure if his name is actually Nicklas or [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] (and I just misheard it. I only heard the full name once and then everyone referred to him as [name_u]Nick[/name_u]), but that’s not the point of this thread. I am just crushing hard on the name Nicklas.
It sounds very familiar, yet unusual. I like [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] and its other variants, but only recently I realise I really like Nicklas. What do you think about this name, Berries? [name_m]Will[/name_m] everyone get his name wrong anyway? Does it go well with other names on my list? What middle names would you pair with it? [name_f]TIA[/name_f].
I like it. Nicklas (and Niklas/[name_m]Niclas[/name_m] etc.) is widely used in Europe so it has a lot of history and isn’t just a creative spelling for the sake of being different. However depending on your location it might be mistaken as [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] often. Maybe even to the point of being annoying, but that really depends on how you feel about correcting people about it.
My favorite variation is [name_m]Nicklaus[/name_m].
I like Niklas! I prefer this simpler and more usual European spelling, though. I think it goes especially well with [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] and [name_m]Marius[/name_m] from your list.
Middle name ideas - a mixed bag:
Niklas [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (first thing that came to mind, no idea why!)
Niklas Vennor

Niklas [name_m]Piran[/name_m]
Niklas [name_m]Florentin[/name_m]
Niklas [name_m]Cosmo[/name_m]
Niklas Remiel
Niklas [name_m]Fyfe[/name_m]/[name_u]Fife[/name_u]
