What are some nicknames for [name]Hermione[/name]…beside Hermi?
The middle names are [name]Meryl[/name] [name]Jane[/name], so it would be [name]Hermione[/name] [name]Meryl[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. The nicknames or lack thereof are holding me back from this one.
I also love [name]Juniper[/name]. The “[name]Jane[/name]” we are using is to honor a grandma on DHs side. [name]Do[/name] you think it’s a stretch to have [name]Juniper[/name] after that grandma and free up the third name spot to honor another grandma? Her name is [name]Lori[/name] so I’d like something that starts with L or has a similar meaning. [name]Juniper[/name] [name]Meryl[/name] [name]Luna[/name] ? [name]Juniper[/name] [name]Meryl[/name] [name]Lee[/name]? I’m at a loss and concerned that grandma [name]Lori[/name] might feel left out.
Brothers are [name]Conrad[/name] and [name]Nolan[/name] and our last name sounds like Castle. Let’s brainstorm!
I may be in the minority but i am not a huge fan of [name]Hermione[/name], although minnie is a cute nn. I like [name]Juniper[/name] [name]Meryl[/name] [name]JAne[/name] and feel like it flows just as well as any of your other combos.
My favorites on your list is [name]Bianca[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], and [name]Matilda[/name]. What are your boys ’ names? I adore [name]Bianca[/name] but feel it has a much different feel than a lot of your other names. It feels very fancy while some of the others are a lot more old lady bohemian ([name]Matilda[/name]). [name]Do[/name] you have a certain style you prefer?
[name]Hero[/name] is the best nickname for [name]Hermione[/name]. They’re even related I think!
[name]Ione[/name] could also work, but that’s not part of how you pronounce the whole name…
And of all your options, I like [name]Hermione[/name] [name]Meryl[/name] [name]Jane[/name] best with brothers [name]Conrad[/name] and [name]Nolan[/name].
I also have to mention that [name]Meryl[/name] is one of my favourite underappreciated names ever, and I love you for choosing it!
On second thought, the ending of [name]Bianca[/name] may conflict with last name Castle. Thoughts?
My style is uncommon, old…but established names. Easy to pronounce. I prefer when I don’t know of any others. 2 or 3 syllable that do not start with C or N or end in D or N. I like each name to have their own distinctive sound.
According to the Social Security Administration here (US) [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] are in the 700s and [name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Bianca[/name] are in the 200s. This makes me lean closer to [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] out of those four. [name]Hermione[/name] is not in the top 1000…and neither are the rest of the names I mentioned. I love this.
I’m thinking we could use [name]Meryl[/name] [name]Layne[/name]/[name]Lane[/name] in the middle if not [name]Meryl[/name] [name]Jane[/name].
[name]Lori[/name] [name]Meryl[/name] [name]Jane[/name] flows well, but [name]Lori[/name] is my mom’s name (baby’s grandma) and I’m not really fond of using a namesake as a first name when it’s the same exact name, kwim? I’d rather go with a variant and prefer them in the middle…usually anyway. I’ve been considering [name]Lane[/name], [name]Lee[/name], [name]Luna[/name], [name]Lou[/name], [name]Laurel[/name], [name]Lark[/name] and [name]Lore[/name]. If we use _________ [name]Meryl[/name] _____ Castle I’d prefer a one syllable name in that third slot. I’ve thought about [name]Lorelei[/name] but I think it’s too long especially with a 3 syllable first name.
For instance, [name]Juniper[/name] [name]Meryl[/name] [name]Lorelei[/name] Castle.
I’ve also considered combining the two grandma’s names into one. [name]Lori[/name] and [name]Janis[/name]…but I haven’t come up with much besides [name]Loris[/name]. Is that a strange name? Maybe we could go to middle names as well. [name]Lori[/name] [name]Ann[/name] and [name]Janis[/name] [name]Rita[/name]. Does anyone have any clever ideas? Or is [name]Lane[/name] the easiest, shortest combination?
I’m still open to further suggestions for the first names that have the same vibe and popularity as the names I listed. I owe a big thank you to everyone who has helped out thus far!
The L of [name]Luna[/name], [name]Laurel[/name], etc run into the L of [name]Meryl[/name] so [name]Meryl[/name] [name]Lee[/name] sounds like merrily. I think [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Meryl[/name] [name]Jane[/name] would be lovely, if that’s an option. I think [name]Matilda[/name] goes best with brothers [name]Conrad[/name] and [name]Nolan[/name].
Triceratops-do you mind me asking what your last name is? I have a tendency to like surnames so it doesn’t surprise me much
[name]Vanessa[/name]- thanks, I like [name]Mimi[/name] also!
Gwensmom- you’re right about the running into each other. [name]Do[/name] you have any nickname suggestions for [name]Lorelei[/name]? I could see it growing on me…maybe And thanks for your input on [name]Matilda[/name]…I would like the kids’ names to all fit so it’s good to know when they sound ‘right’ together!
Bex- [name]Io[/name] is definitely different…and I like it. I’m thinking between [name]Minni[/name], [name]Mimi[/name] and [name]Io[/name] we’ll have all the bases covered for [name]Hermione[/name]. I think her personality would be the deciding factor. Thank!
If you really want to combine [name]Lori[/name] and [name]Janis[/name], i love the idea of [name]Lane[/name]! I think [name]Lane[/name] is perfect. Or what about [name]Lorelei[/name] [name]Meryl[/name]. [name]Jane[/name]? Not a big fan of Hermoine. I think its a bit much for a name. But i do love Felicitt and [name]Matilda[/name]. [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Meryl[/name] [name]Lane[/name]/[name]Jane[/name]…[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Meryl[/name] [name]Lane[/name]/[name]Jane[/name]. Those are my favorites
Triceratops- I really like Olivera…and it’s nickname options…but you’re probably right. There are so many Olivias. Bummer. I’m keeping your favorite three near the top of my list. Thanks!
