[name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering what everyone thinks. If baby #2 is a girl, we are still stuck between [name_f]Cora[/name_f] or [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f].
Our son is [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] and he has SO many nicknames. But when we named him we knew he’d have at least one solid nickname- [name_u]Jem[/name_u]. But he also goes by [name_m]Jam[/name_m], Jammer, [name_m]Jammy[/name_m], And a million other names.
For [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] we like that we could call her [name_u]Scout[/name_u], to pair with [name_u]Jem[/name_u], though we would only use the nicknames together on the rare occasion. I also love Nicknames [name_u]Kit[/name_u] ([name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is a family name), and [name_f]Letty[/name_f]. Her middle name would be [name_f]Louise[/name_f] so [name_f]Letty[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] is cute too.
For [name_f]Cora[/name_f], nicknames don’t come so easy. Today DH said he would like to call her [name_f]Cece[/name_f] (her initials would be C.C.), which I had never considered before. So, long story short, just wondering what you think of it! Middle name, again, would be [name_f]Louise[/name_f], so I like [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] too!
I think [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] “[name_f]Cece[/name_f]” would be adorable! You know, you could even sort of use [name_f]Cece[/name_f] for [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] if you wanted - maybe as [name_f]Sisi[/name_f], even. Either way, I think it’s a great nickname and definitely works for [name_f]Cora[/name_f] with a C last name.
Thanks! I was thinking. In ‘to kill a mockingbird’, Scouts real name was [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. So we could probably still call [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] ‘[name_u]Scout[/name_u]’ for fun too!
I like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. I think I like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] a little better with [name_u]Jameson[/name_u]. [name_f]Letty[/name_f] is such a cute option and [name_f]Letty[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] is cute. I don’t know if I like [name_f]Cece[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Cora[/name_f]–to me, [name_f]Cora[/name_f] does not need a nickname. Maybe you should wait to see your daughter first and see what she feels like more and then let a nickname come organically from there. I know I have a hard time committing to a name if someone is trying to force a nickname on me.
So cute!! While I love [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and think it’s too pretty to NOT use daily, I think [name_f]Cece[/name_f] is a sweet family nickname!

We’d really like a name for each gender, so that when we find out what we’re having, the baby can have a name. I feel like it would make it more real to our toddler. Though if we can’t make a decision we [name_f]MAY[/name_f] end up waiting haha.
I don’t at all feel like he is forcing [name_f]Cece[/name_f] on me! He just mentioned it, and I wanted to get more opinions on it!
I know nicknames will come no matter what, I just like to know that there is at least one cute, solid option! It wouldn’t be used all the time- we definitley like both names too much to reduce it to a nickname 24/7
