Nickname for Amalia

I’ve been set on the name [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] if we have a little girl. We already have a son names [name_m]Milo[/name_m]. I’m trying to decide on a nickname for [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] and I really like maizie but I know it’s a stretch. Can it work? I like that it’s cute but the z spices it up a bit. My husband, son and I also have names that start with M so this way [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] won’t feel left out. I also like [name_f]Millie[/name_f], just not as much as [name_f]Maizie[/name_f]. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t love [name_f]Molly[/name_f] or [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. I Like [name_f]Maya[/name_f] but we have a niece names [name_f]Maya[/name_f] already.

I think [name_f]Maizie[/name_f] would work. Yes it’s a stretch, but lots of kids have nicknames that aren’t obvious.

Not sure if [name_f]Lia[/name_f] ([name_f]Leah[/name_f]), [name_f]Amy[/name_f], [name_f]Mila[/name_f], [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] or [name_f]Mamie[/name_f] were up for consideration. (Again, some of those are a stretch!)

I think [name_f]Maizie[/name_f] would work fine as a nickname for [name_f]Amalia[/name_f]. I know [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is normally for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and they really don’t sound alike.

Good [name_m]Luck[/name_m]!

[name_f]Lia[/name_f] is definitely a possibility but I do like the idea of her having an “m” nn option to go with our M names. [name_f]Mila[/name_f] is cute but too close to my son’s name [name_m]Milo[/name_m]. [name_f]Mamie[/name_f] reminds me of a grandmother for some reason. but thanks for being reassuring that [name_f]Maizie[/name_f] isn’t TOO much of a stretch.
