My biggest naming rule for our kids is that the name MUST have a meaning or a story behind it, not just a name we like the sound of. If it’s a girl I want to name her Fernley, but I don’t have any boy name inspiration that I like! Our other three are Wilcken, Thunder and [name_f]Melia[/name_f], and I would prefer not to repeat a first initial or an ending sound. The only name that comes remotely close to being a possibility is [name_m]Costello[/name_m]- but it feels just too much- does anyone see a reasonable shortened version? I would most likely use the short version as the full name, and the middle will most likely be [name_u]Dean[/name_u]. Thanks in advance!
[name_m]Costello[/name_m] [name_u]Dean[/name_u] is handsome! The only thing I can think of is the nickname Tello. I know someone who has the nickname. He’s in his late 20’s and wears it well!

I’m wondering why [name_m]Costello[/name_m] feels like so much name though? To me is seems very smooth and not overly mouthy.

I think Stello could work too—or change it slightly and go for [name_m]Stellan[/name_m]…
But I agree with a previous poster that [name_m]Costello[/name_m] doesn’t seem like too much.
