Well if you dont want a popular nn then I would not pick [name]Elle[/name]/[name]Ellie[/name]/[name]Ella[/name]. [name]Lizzy[/name] and [name]Beth[/name] seem a little dated to me. I think the freshest option would be either [name]Libby[/name] or [name]Betsy[/name]. I voted for [name]Libby[/name] but [name]Betsy[/name] would be cute too.
There is also [name]Eliza[/name]…
I was all set to vote for [name]Betty[/name], but then you didn’t have it on your list
I see that you think it sounds old, but I think it’s actually very chaming and vintage chic. I think it has a certain glamour to it that is the same reason why “older” names like [name]Audrey[/name], [name]Ava[/name] and [name]Ella[/name] are so popular right now. But [name]Betty[/name] is different enough in sound to avoid sounding trendy or being overly popular.
My second choice would be [name]Betsy[/name], but I think it’s a little too cutesy(maybe because I do think of [name]Betsy[/name] Wetsy dolls).
You could also use [name]Eliza[/name], but I don’t know if that feels too long to you to be a real nickname?
I was thinking about [name]Betty[/name], but everyone in my family turned their nose up at it and said that would make her seem 80. I should have put it on the poll!
I wonder if [name]Betta[/name] or [name]Bette[/name] would work?
What about [name]Elsa[/name]?
[name]Bette[/name] is all [name]Bette[/name] Midler to me (I like her, I just wouldn’t name a child for her). [name]Betta[/name] is cute, but I don’t think it holds a candle to [name]Betty[/name]. Maybe you could try to sway your family by making them think of [name]Betty[/name] Boop (a more fun and playful image than, say, [name]Betty[/name] White).
I think [name]Elsa[/name] or [name]Elsie[/name] is a super cute, modern option. I also love [name]Libby[/name]. Not sure how much use it’s getting, but it’s very cute. I know a [name]Elizabeth[/name] that goes by Ebby and also one that went by [name]Bunny[/name] when we were kids (not kidding, lol).
I also like [name]Elsie[/name] and [name]Elsa[/name]. The only problem is that if I’m trying to stay away from [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Elle[/name], and [name]Ella[/name] because of popularity (sadly), [name]Elsie[/name] and [name]Elsa[/name] sound quite similiar starting with the “[name]El[/name]” sound.
[name]Effy[/name] is cute!
[name]Eliza[/name] is also a nn… [name]Queen[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] I used [name]Eliza[/name].
there is also:
[name]Liz[/name]
[name]Lizzie[/name]
[name]Betty[/name]
[name]Beth[/name]
[name]Liza[/name]
For a nickname that will stand out, how about Zabby… (capitalizing on the “zab” part of the name)?
[name]BIRDIE[/name]!!!
I know the cutest little girl named [name]Elizabeth[/name] nn [name]Birdie[/name] - it is precious and perfect. Never heard it anywhere before!
I think [name]Birdie[/name] is a cute nn for [name]Elizabeth[/name], there’s also Busy. (Coincidentally, Busy [name]Phillips[/name] says she named her daughter [name]Birdie[/name] (full first name) because she got tired of saying, “My name is [name]Elizabeth[/name], but I go by Busy,” and she didn’t want her daughter going through the same thing.
[name]Alexis[/name]
I think the nn [name]Bee[/name] for [name]Elizabeth[/name] is adorable!
Good luck!
I love [name]Libby[/name] or [name]Eliza[/name]!
I love [name]Betty[/name] or [name]Betsy[/name], I think they are both adorable! [name]Liesl[/name] is also a nn for [name]Elizabeth[/name] thats familiar but not often used
I love [name]Betsy[/name] and [name]Libby[/name]. I think [name]Libby[/name] may be kind of popular. [name]How[/name] about [name]Liza[/name]? If you’re looking for something that is more cutesy there is [name]Tibby[/name] or Bitsy.
From your list, I absolutely love [name]Bess[/name] and [name]Elise[/name]! Another suggestion would be [name]Eliza[/name], which I think is just lovely.
Also, [name]Queen[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] of [name]England[/name] went by [name]Lilibet[/name] as a child, which I thought was the most adorable thing, so maybe [name]Lilibet[/name]?
I like [name]Libby[/name], [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Betsy[/name], [name]Lizzie[/name], and [name]Elsa[/name]. There’s also Biz, [name]Lily[/name], [name]Ilsa[/name], [name]Izzy[/name]…
[name]Betty[/name]'s not old at all.
I vote for [name]Betty[/name] or [name]Libby[/name].
[name]Tetty[/name] is an old nn for [name]Elizabeth[/name].
[name]Elizabeth[/name] contains “ab” and “zab,” so why not [name]Abbie[/name] or Zabby?
