I started calling my Violet “Lettie” this week to ward off all the family members calling her Vi more and more frequently. Do you guys like this?
My 3 year old is Lily, so does it seem like a bit too much to have a Lily and a Lettie? I guess it’s not too far off because of the whole flower theme I have going, but is this going too far? They are close in age and almost look like twins on top of that. What do you think? If no…do you have a different nickname suggestion?

I like it, I prefer [name]Vi[/name] personally, but [name]Lettie[/name]'s fine. I think it’s a bit much, but given that [name]Lettie[/name]'s a nickname not a first name, it’d be fine. However, since you have a flower name theme, they’re close in age and look like twins, I think it’s far too much.
I’d rather something that didn’t start with an L.

[name]Lettie[/name] & [name]Lilly[/name] is matchy for me, but it’s all about your personal taste. It’s not unusable or something. You could call her V instead of [name]Vi[/name].
I would do V or [name]Etta[/name], not [name]Lettie[/name].
Aw, I love “[name]Vi[/name].” I mentally call my friend’s soon-to-be-born baby [name]Violet[/name] that. haha I haven’t asked her yet what nickname she thinks she’ll use.
Anyway, since you don’t like [name]Vi[/name], you could go with V. But you could also spell it Vee so that it’s more of a name than just a single letter.
I have a [name]Violet[/name] too, great name! We actually started out calling her [name]Vi[/name] but once she started moving around (and climbing, and running at 10 months, and did I mention climbing?) my husband joked “it’s a Vio hazard” and Vio just sort of stuck. It totally fits her spunky personality and she has lots of curly red hair and freckles…Vio just fits her so well. Not the typical nn for [name]Violet[/name] but it works. Only person who won’t call her that is my mom because she says its weird and sounds too much like “vile” which it does sound like that word, but once people get used to it they really think it fits her too.
[name]Lettie[/name]'s cute! I know a sibset with three sisters, [name]Violet[/name], [name]Lillian[/name], and [name]Lydia[/name], and they go by [name]Letty[/name], [name]Lilli[/name], and [name]Lydia[/name]. I think [name]Lily[/name] and [name]Lettie[/name] is fine!
