As you know by now hubby and I have very different opinions on names and it’s a shocker that we even decided on one. Now we’re trying to figure out what [name_f]Rafaela[/name_f]'s nickname will be and of course we can’t agree. I have wanted [name_m]Rafi[/name_m] from the start don’t ask me why I just really love it and it fits into that kind of folksy theme I was going for, however, husband really likes [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and doesn’t understand that whenever I hear it I automatically have to fight the urge to not sing that Umbrella song by [name_f]Rihanna[/name_f]. We will probably just call her by her full name because I don’t want to fight (thought secretly on occasion I will call her [name_m]Rafi[/name_m]
) but are their any other nicknames we could use?
[name_u]Rafe[/name_u], [name_f]Rafa[/name_f], Rafita, [name_f]Rella[/name_f], Raella, [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], Ralla?
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Faye[/name_f]?
Now that I think of it, [name_u]Rae[/name_u] might work too.
I think [name_u]Rae[/name_u] and [name_f]Faye[/name_f] are great suggestions! But, I personally love [name_f]Ella[/name_f]!
[name_f]Rafaela[/name_f] is just gorgeous! And such rich nickname potential. The good thing is that when she’s old enough she can choose a nickname- or none- that works for her. There’s even [name_f]Fifi[/name_f]! (Though that’s probably best suited for an infant.) 
I personally like your idea of [name_m]Rafi[/name_m]. Why not wait and see what develops naturally?
