Suddenly realized that I quite like Suzanna and would be happy to use it for my child! The only problem is nickname… Sue & Susie are nice and so is Annie but I want something besides them. Sosie is cute too but it looks like one of the forms of the word for suck in my language and I can’t get over it. I thought about Una (you-nuh in my accent and Suzanna is sue-ZUH-nuh)), isn’t it too much of stretch? Looking forward for your suggestions!
Here you can listen how I will pronounce it: Голос 004|audio
I mostly go by [name_f]Suse[/name_f] (many languages don’t have the audible e ending though) and sometimes Sus (like [name_m]Zeus[/name_m], not as in suspicious). I also really like [name_f]Suki[/name_f] and Sanna/Sanne. I don’t think Sunni/Sunny would be a stretch either!
How do you read [name_f]Suse[/name_f]? I firstly readed it like Suez, then like [name_f]Susie[/name_f] and then Sue-zeh. Was at least one of the options OK? Sorry if it sounds strange!
btw you could also go with the meaning and call her [name_f]Lily[/name_f]! A bit of a stretch for a constant nickname but a cute idea for an occasional term of endearment if you ask me.
